Chapter 43: Sophie L/n

Y/n and Garnet were currently snuggled on the sofa as rain pelted the house. It was dark thanks to the clouds covering the sun, but it only served to draw the two closer together.

"Any day now, and we'll be able to see our beautiful little girl." Y/n told, smiled as he placed his hand on Garnet's extended belly for what seemed like the millionth time.

"I can't wait to show her the world." Garnet returned the smile. There was nothing on TV, so the two decided to just snuggle, and listen to the rain, it was fairly comforting.

"Would you like anything to eat?" Y/n asked, sitting up slightly.

Garnet hummed, debating whether she wanted anything to eat. "Yes, could you do me a sandwich?" She asked with a smile.

"Of course, you want it like last time?" He chuckled, standing up, and turning to her, waiting for an answer.

"A bit more mayo please." Garnet responded, eliciting a chuckle from Y/n.

Y/n nodded, turning around, and walking into the kitchen to prepare his lover some food. Garnet stayed comfortably on the sofa, adjusting the blanket slightly to stay warm. She listened to the rain hitting of the windows, it was rather soothing, and made Garnet relax even more into the nest her and Y/n created together.

Garnet hummed in satisfaction as she leaned back, Y/n came in not long after Garnet had made herself comfortable, but something felt off with the gem fusion.

"Here you go Garnet, just the way you wanted it." Y/n smiled, and was about to pass her the food, but noticed a rather large damp spot on the blanket.

"Y/n I think -" Garnet was about to say but clutched her belly, grunting.

"Garnet? Is the baby coming?" He asked frantically, placing the food on the table, and moving the blanket to see that Garnet's water had broken.

"She's coming!" Garnet yelled, groaning at the pain she was feeling.

"Okay okay, lets get you to the bed upstairs, I'll help you deliver her." Y/n said, trying to stay calm as he lifted Garnet up, and took up upstairs, into the bedroom.

The truth was he wanted to take her to the hospital, and get an expert to help, but in the terrible weather, Y/n didn't want to risk anything happening.

"Breathe, just breathe. I'm right here for you, but I'll need you to faze out your clothes." Y/n said as he lay her on the bed, and spread her legs.

Garnet did what she was asked, fazing out her clothes so Y/n could she if the baby was coming. The baby was coming, but it didn't seem like she was coming any time soon, so Y/n sat next to Garnet, managing to get her to relax, and take her mind off the pain.

Y/n continued to look after Garnet for a few hours until the pain started to build up to a massive extent. "Y-Y/n! I think she's coming!" Garnet yelled, almost crushing Y/n's hand because of the pain she was feeling.

"Alright! I'm gonna need you to push as hard as you can!" Y/n said, leaving Garnet's side so he could catch the baby.

Garnet pushed, and pushed until she felt like she was going to poof. Y/n continued to give her words of encouragement as he saw the baby could out head first. After a few more minutes, Garnet had managed to give birth, so Y/n wrapped up Sophie in a nearby blanket as she cried.

"Garnet ~" He sung. "Say hello toooo, Sophie ~" Y/n sung, bringing the small baby human to her mother, and holding her out to Garnet.

"Oh look at you ~" Garnet cooed as she examined Sophie. 

Sophie had a lot of hair for a baby, it was long, and wavy, like Sapphire's, but pitch black like Ruby's. Once Sophie had gotten attention of mom, she opened her eyes, and astounded both Garnet and Y/n. 

"They're purple!" Y/n exclaimed as he sat next to the two most important people in his life.

"She's perfect! She's a fusion of our love Y/n -" Garnet wanted to continue, but found herself unable to, as tears began leaking out of her eyes, and onto both the bed and Sophie.

"She is, isn't see?" Y/n told, smiling as tears threatened to leak out of his eyes.

The couple cooed other their new born baby girl, kissing her to make sure she knew that she was loved. 

"We should probably give her a wash huh?" Y/n questioned, looking over the baby that was covered in all sorts of stuff. "Do you want a shower? If you're feeling up for it of course." Y/n added, looking over the sweaty Garnet.

"That'll be nice, you sure you can clean her?" Garnet asked as she sat up, and handed their precious little baby to Y/n.

"Yeah shouldn't be a problem, just want to wash out all the stuff!" Y/n said with a smile as he took Sophie downstairs and into the kitchen while Garnet managed to stand up, and head into the bathroom for a shower.

It probably wasn't a good idea for her to have a shower, straight after giving birth, but she isn't really human. It didn't take long for her to finish cleaning, and when she got out of the shower, she fazed her clothes back on, and even shapeshifted herself back to normal. It was like she wasn't even pregnant.

Garnet walked down the stairs feeling refreshed, and walked into the kitchen, seeing Y/n finish up the little bath that Sophie had.

"There we are! Much cleaner now!" Y/n smiled as he picked up the bundle of joy, and started kissing her.

"Awe." Garnet cooed as she came up from behind Y/n, and pulled both Y/n and Sophie into a hug. "I didn't believe it was possible but ... we became a family ..." Garnet told, smiling as she took Sophie from out of Y/n's arms, tears already leaking out of her three eyes.

"She's beautiful, but why don't you two rest? I think the two of you must be tired." Y/n said as he watched the little one yawn.

"I suppose it couldn't hurt to have a nap ... but what about the others?" Garnet questioned as the couple moved from the kitchen and back upstairs.

"Don't worry Garnet, we can introduce Sophie to them tomorrow." Y/n smiled, and then pondered. "I think we should move the crib into our room, just for the time being." Y/n stated.

"Agreed." Garnet said, rather quickly, wanting to protect her little baby.

Y/n chuckled, and proceeded to move the crib through the landing, and into their bedroom, right next to the bed. "Awh, she's asleep already." Y/n whispered as Garnet gently lowered Sophie down into the crib, making sure to keep the blankets over her to keep her nice and toasty, finishing it off with a warm and tender kiss on the head. "I love you Sophie." Garnet whispered as she felt herself dosing off.

"Go on, have a nap, I'll keep a watch over Sophie." Y/n kissed Garnet, making her lay down in the bed, and pulled the covers over her.

"I love you Y/n." Garnet said, falling asleep soon after. 

Y/n smiled, his family was complete, and to keep hi promise, he pulled up a chair, staying guard to protect his two loved ones. "I love you ... both of you." He whispered as he watched the two sleep soundly, with a smile on his face.
