Chapter 37: A Wonderful Feeling

Its been an entire day since Y/n and Garnet had found out she was pregnant. She was feeling perfectly fine which makes sense due to how earlier she is in the pregnancy. The two of them were still surprised at the fact that they would be parents, Garnet more than Y/n since a few years ago she wouldn't have dreamt of being with a human but look at her now, pregnant with his child and even allowed to see them!

It was just past midday, Garnet was sitting on the sofa relaxing. "You sure you don't want a drink or anything?" Y/n asked from the kitchen as he prepared to make himself a nice cup of Hot Chocolate.

"'m fine." She responded, still relaxed in the same position.

Y/n could be heard humming in response. It didn't take him long before he came back into the living room with a Hot Chocolate in hand, quickly snuggling up next to Garnet. "So ... this is really happening isn't it?" He asked, looking up at Garnet.

Before replying, Garnet wrapped her arm around Y/n, being mindful of the cup in his hand, and pulled him closer. "Yes, are you worried?" She asked.

"Yeah ... I guess I'm just worried that I won't be a very good dad ..." Y/n said, looking down at the Hot Chocolate in his hands. 

Garnet leaned down and kissed the top of his head. "I'm certain you'll be the perfect dad." Garnet said, comforting her worried lover.

Y/n looked up and smiled appreciatively at Garnet, his gazed focused back on the warm drink he was holding and took a nice long slip. Breathing a sigh of relief as the warm liquid made its way down his throat and into his stomach. The two sat in silence as they took in each others presence.

"How do you think the others will react?" Y/n's voice echoed slightly as he asked this. It was a good question, even though she'll be able to keep her form, it might cause some issues.

"Hard to say, some better than others ... lets just be glad that I'm not giving up my form otherwise that would've been difficult to explain." Garnet said, adjusting her iconic shades.

"What happened when ... rose got pregnant?" He hesitantly asked, unsure of what Garnet feels about her after everything that's happened.

"It was difficult, everyone felt lost ... even me." Garnet sighed. "But I'm sure, this time will be different." She perked up, smiled down at her human lover.

"I love you Garnet." Y/n said, leaning up giving her a quick, yet, meaningful kiss on the lips to prove that.

Garnet giggled. "I love you too, especially after last night ~" She teased which almost immediately made Y/n's face go a beat red. "Awh what's wrong? You know you love it ~" She teased again, chuckling as her lovers face somehow managed to get even redder.

"Yeah ... I do love it." Y/n chuckled as he finished the last bit of Hot Chocolate that was in his cup, quickly setting the now empty cup on the table and returning to the snuggling session him and Garnet were having.

"What ... do you think the baby will be like? Y'know ... considering you're a fusion n' all." He asked as he settled back into the position he was previously.

Garnet hummed, thinking of it herself. "Well, its possible they might have characteristics of Ruby or Sapphire ... but I don't think it'll be too much different from the pregnancy Rose had." She said, it was a good question, since the baby will be full human ... well, more human than Steven ... it was difficult to say what the baby will be like, even her future vision had difficulties trying to figure it out due to all the possibilities.

"I guess that makes sense ... what about powers? I'm guessing they wouldn't have any?" Y/n asked.

"They might do ... with Steven he was inheriting Rose's gem so we knew he'd get powers from it but with this pregnancy ... its hard to say." Garnet responded, this too was a good question, without a gem would the baby have powers? Its possible since Y/n has powers of his own, would the baby become more like him? She didn't know, future vision again wasn't very helpful due to the countless number of possibilities.

The two sat in silence once again, a smile tugging at their lips as it was really happening, they were going to become parents. "Well ... should we get some baby food and stuff ... wait, will you be breast feeding?" He asked, curious as he noticed she still had her shapeshifted breasts on her hard light body. Luckily, her outfit completely covers them up and is surprisingly hard to notice unless you're resting on her chest.

"I'm not sure ... I don't think I'll be able to produce breast milk ... " Garnet said.

"That's okay! I mean, if you really wanted to breast feed, couldn't you just drink some milk and ... send it to your breasts?" Y/n said, giggling a little bit but still not being sure if Garnet would want to do that.

Garnet chuckled. "We'll have to see what happens, the baby might only like being breast fed. She said, her chuckling dying down a bit as the two returned to the silence they sat in. It was nice as they just took in each others presence.

It was once again broken by Y/n standing up, since it was just past midday he was still in his pyjamas. "I think I'm gonna get changed, did you want to head out and get some of the baby stuff? Or Should we leave that for another time." He asked, turning to Garnet as he stretched his tight muscles.

"Lets do that another time, why don't we go on a date?" She said, standing up as well.

"Oh sure! Where did you have in mind?" Y/n asked with a smile appearing on his face.

"How about we have a dinner date at Fishstew Pizza?" Garnet suggested. 

"Sure, lemme just get changed quickly!" He said, running up the stairs with a smile. Garnet watch on with a smile of her own, gently placing a hand on her stomach, she knew whoever she gave birth too, she would love them with every fibre of her being.

It didn't take long for Y/n to finish getting changed and walk down the stairs, once he got back into the living room he noticed Garnet was still patting her belly. Smiling her walked up to her and placed his hand on top of hers. "They're going to be perfect but I feel like they'll just be a miniature you running about." He said, carefully stroking her hand.

Before Y/n could comprehend what's happening, Garnet begins sniffling and soon, large tears start pouring down her face. "G-garnet wh-what's wrong??" He asked, worried he upset her somehow.

"I-I understand it now ..." She said, as the tears stained her cheeks.

"Understand what?" Y/n questioned.

"I understand how R-rose felt ... Its a wonderful feeling Y/n ..." Garnet cried, fazing off her shades so she could look at her human lover. "I-I know I've only been pregnant for a day but ... this is what Rose felt ... she told me that it feels wonderful to have someone so small, so innocent developing inside her ..." She finished, pulling Y/n into a deep hug, quietly crying over one of his shoulders.

"Garnet ... I-I ... I don't really know what to say ... but I do understand that it must be a great feeling." Y/n said, not really knowing what to say as for the time him and Garnet have been together, she hasn't been so emotional before.

"I-I'm sorry Y/n ... I don't know what came over me ..." She chuckled a bit as Y/n brought his hand up and rubbed away the tears from her big, loving eyes.

"Its okay but why don't we go get some pizza hmm?" Y/n said, taking a quick peck at Garnet's kissable lips.

"I'd love that." Garnet responded as she got revenge and kissed Y/n. They soon left the house, hand in hand and started walking to Fishstew Pizza, sure it was a bit early to get a pizza but they didn't care. They were in love.
