Chapter 27: So It Begins

Garnet was currently in her temple room, meditating. She was happy with how yesterday turned out for Y/N and his parents, even though he was angry that his parents didn't tell him that Rose and Pearl saved them, it didn't take him long to calm down and understand it all. It also gave him closure on why they kept him inside a lot of his life, it was to protect him from the dangers of the outside world. 

As she meditated, she felt guilty at the vision she saw. It was Y/N waking up and being slightly sad as he noticed Garnet was nowhere to be seen. As much as she would hate to admit it, she couldn't stay with him all the time, she was still needed at the temple.

Garnet sighed and stood up from her meditation. She walked out of her temple room, planning to go to Y/N's house but what caught by Amethyst. "'Sup G, going to see lover boy?" She teased as she wiggled her eyebrows at the taller gem.

"That's the plan." Garnet responded as she adjusted her visor.

"Well, I brought you this." Amethyst said as she pulled out a magazine and handed it to Garnet.

"What is it?" Garnet responded as she looked at the front page of the magazine. 'How to please your lover.' She blushed slightly upon reading the title.

"Before you ask, no there's nothing spicy in there ..." Amethyst started as she walked over to the kitchen table and sat on top of it. "Its just about what humans like in relationships." She finished with a smile.

Garnet didn't respond at first, rather she flipped through the pages, once she got to the end she smiled. "Thank you Amethyst but why?" She asked as she held onto the magazine.

"Lets be real, you don't know too much about humans and what they like, its the same with pearl so I thought I'd buy you that." She said with a shrug.

"I suppose you're right, I'm sure this'll help." Garnet said as she smiled towards Amethyst.

"Don't thank me yet." She said with a chuckled and a wink.

Garnet simply chuckled in response and started walking towards the front door. "I'll be at Y/N's house if you need me." She said as she looked back at amethyst who simply nodded at the tall fusion.

Garnet soon opened the door and started her journey towards Y/N's house. She could've used the warp pad but after receiving the magazine from Amethyst it made her want to slow walk to his house, give her a chance to read a page or two.

Which is what she did, while she was walking, she lifted up the magazine as opened it to the first page. 

'Help them relax'. Was the title of the first page and with the help of her three eyes, she was able to quickly read it, humming in satisfaction. She smiled as she turned the page, forgetting about everything as she continued to read on. 

It didn't take her long to reach Y/N's house and once she did, she had already read almost half of it. Not much stuck out to her from the magazine, sure it told her a few things like dates and stuff like that but nothing she hadn't already knew, it did give her the idea to give Y/N a back rub. She kept a hold onto the magazine as she would continue to read it, in case she learnt something that would help deepen her understanding of Human behaviour and even her love for Y/N. Smiling once more she knocked on the front door to Y/N's house, waiting patiently for her lover to let her in.

After a few shuffles, the door opened up wide with Y/N standing in the entrance. "Garnet! I'm glad you came!" He said with cheer as he quickly wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug.

Garnet chuckled. "You know I wouldn't leave you here." She said as she quickly returned the embrace with vigour.

 "Is there anything you'd like to do or would you just like to relax?" Y/N asked, looking up at the tall gem fusion from the embrace.
