Chapter 20: Love

Garnet and Y/N were sitting together on the beach, relaxing within each others presence. The silence between them was welcoming as they took in the beauty of the ocean, soon Y/N was the one to break it. "Wow the ocean sure is beautiful alright ..." He said but soon looked over to Garnet. "Buttttt  I think I see something even more so ..." As he blew her a kiss.

"Oh stop ~" She blushed.

"I've got so many more!" He chuckled as he lay down and put his head into her lap, looking up at her. "So is Ruby the hot one and Sapphire the cool one?" He started but before she could speak up he added. "Actually wait, I think they're both pretty sexy ~" He flirted.

Garnet blushed even more, she usually doesn't but after the whole creating Era 3 she became a new gem. "What will I do with you ..." She said more as a statement.

"Well, if you want me to list them off ... I could think of a few sp-" He was cut off by Garnet putting her hand over his face.

"I'm sure you could." She chuckled as she lifted her hand off his face and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.

The two once again sat in silence as Y/N continued to rest his head in Garnet's lap, they watched the sea move back and forth. The silence was once again broken but not by Y/n or Garnet.

"G-garnet ... can I talk with you?" Said Jamie as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Okay." Was her only reply as Y/N sat up so she could move. 

"I'll stay here for you." Y/N said as he smiled up to Garnet.

Garnet simply nodded as she gestured for Jamie to move a bit further away so he could say what he needed to. Jamie understood what she wanted so they walked over to a different spot on the beach, Jamie was the first to speak.

"Wh-what happened Garnet? I thought you said you'd never date ..." He looked down, wondering why he wasn't good enough.

"Jamie ... the love you felt for me wasn't real. You never got to know me, you still don't know me." She started, realising it may have sound harsh she sighed. "I know what I said but the love I ... we ... feel for Y/N is real, I'm sure you'll find someone that you truly love but make sure to spend time with them ... get to know them." She said with a smile.

"Yeah ... I guess you're right. I'm sorry, I guess I was just jealous." He said, putting his head down in shame.

"Don't worry about it, jealousy is normal to feel. Just be sure to keep your head up high, you'll find someone, I know it." Garnet adjusted her visor smiling.

"Right well ... I best get going now ... thanks Garnet." Jamie said, rather shyly. 

Garnet simply nodded as Jamie turned around to walk back home. She turned in the opposite direction, heading back to her lover, who was currently in a relaxed position on his back.

She walked up to him, laying down beside him. "Howdy." Garnet said casually as Y/N opened his eyes and looked at her.

"Hello again! How did it go?" He asked, curious to what had happened.

"It went well, I think he understands why we decided to date someone." She said, still relaxed in the same position.

Y/N suddenly rolled over and found himself on top of Garnet. "I love you." He said as he placed his hands either side of her face to hold him self up.

"I love you too." She responded as she lifted her head upwards to meet Y/N's lips.

They stayed like that for a few more minutes, ignoring any looks they received as people passed by. Soon the kiss came to an end, they both stood up, held each others hand and walked back to Y/N's house.

Y/N just finished having a nice hot shower after coming in from a day at the beach. It didn't take him long to get dressed with the clothes he set aside, what he didn't expect is to walk out of the bathroom to find two small gems looking up at him.

"Ruby! Sapphire! What's up?" He asked as he crouched down to see them.

"Nothing much, thought to spend some time with our favourite human." Ruby said as she smiled.

"Yes, you haven't seen us much lately and we thought it would be best to spend some time with you." Sapphire added with her monotone voice.

Y/N chuckled. "Well if you wanted to spend some time with me, you could've joined me in the shower ~" He teased while wiggling his eyebrows at the two smaller gems.

Sapphire blushed but Ruby took it a step further. "Don't tempt me or I'll have to take you up on that offer ~" She winked at the human which made Sapphire blush more at what her wife said.

"Well ... now we're all together why don't we watch a movie or something?" Y/N suggested.

The two gems nodded in response to Y/N's question. The three of them then headed down the stairs and into the living room in order to pick out a movie, this time it was Sapphire that picked one out.

"We should watch this one." The small blue gem said.

The held up a Disney movie. "Frozen? I don't mind, what do you think Ruby?" Y/N asked as he took the movie and looked it over.

"I'm down." Ruby responded with a smile.

Y/N simply nodded as he turned to put the movie into the TV. Once he did, he turned back around and sat of the sofa next to Ruby and Sapphire, pulling them into him so they were all cuddled up.

The credits started playing while the three of them were still cuddled up on the sofa.

"That was nice." Sapphire said simply as she leaned into Y/N's warm embrace.

"Not as good as the Wild Wild West!" Ruby laughed as she jumped up and started shooting finger pistols.

"Heheh, yeah it was pretty good. Not as nice as you two though ~" Y/N flirted as he pulled Ruby towards him while tightening his hold on Sapphire.

Before either of them could reply he kissed to top of their heads which caused giggles to erupt from the two small gems.

"What would you like to do now?" He asked, wondering if they had any ideas.

"I would say you but ... its getting pretty late." Ruby chuckled as Sapphire blushed.

"Yes, we must get back to the temple. Garnet has a geminar tomorrow with Pearl so we can't be late." Sapphire said, shaking off the blush. The two small gems then got off the sofa and started dancing, soon after a bright light blinded the house. Once it died down, Garnet was standing tall.

"Thank you for tonight Y/N. I'll be sure to get back here as soon as I finish the geminar." Garnet said as she bent down to place a kiss on Y/N's head.

Y/N giggled at the contact. "Don't worry, I'll be here when you finish, no need to rush." He smiled at Garnet.

"Oh I know you will." She teased as she adjusted her visor which made him laugh.

Y/N then walked her to the door and said goodbye to his lover but after giving her a tender and pleasant kiss on the lips. Garnet soon left the house, wondering how she was so lucky to have someone like him.
