Y/N and Amethyst were currently preparing the lighthouse for his date with Garnet. It wasn't to complex, they made sure to clean away any mess that 'fry dude' left which was more than they expected. They then set up a table with candles and fancy plates. At first Y/N didn't know what to cook or even if he should cook something as its a lighthouse after all, but his worries disappeared as the lighthouse did in fact have a kitchen.

"What can you cook?" Amethyst asked as she continued to set the table.

"Well ... I can cook spaghetti ..." He said as he moved over to the sofa, planning to watch a movie with Garnet after dinner.

Amethyst snickered. "Spaghetti ... is that all?" She chuckled as she finished up setting the table.

"Yeah ... I can make meatballs as well, that should be fine. Right?" Y/N asked as he too finished the area he was busy with.

"Yeah she'll love it ... I mean, this is Garnet we're talking about, she won't care if you can't cook." Amethyst said to ease Y/N's nervousness.

"I hope so ... I should probably start getting the food ready. Thanks for your help Amethyst." Y/N said as he smiled towards the small purple gem.

"No worries dude just let me know if anything spicy happens tonight ~" Amethyst teased.

"O-kay, I'll try to not let it get too spicy." He rolled his eyes at the small gems teasing.

"I best get going now ... let me know how it goes." She said as she heading towards the exit.

"Later Amethyst." Y/N said as he waved goodbye to the small purple gem.

After Amethyst left to go do her own thing, Y/N focused on getting the spaghetti finished in time for Garnet to arrive. He had a plan tonight and getting spicy wasn't apart of it, after dinner he and Garnet would watch a movie or two. He dressed for the occasion, nothing too fancy but better than what he would usually wear.

It didn't take long for Y/N to finish the spaghetti and plate it up, as soon as it was plated, two knocks sounded from the door. Y/N walked down to the door and quickly opened it, smiling as he knew who it was. "Hey Garnet! You look as beautiful as ever!" Y/N said as he moved out of the way so Garnet could enter.

"Y/N, looking even more handsome than usual." Garnet said as she blushed, eyeing Y/N up and down.

"Shall we?" He asked as he offered his elbow for her to take.

"We shall." Garnet responded with a chuckle.

Garnet interlocked her elbow with Y/N's and together they walked up the lighthouse steps. Once they entered the main room, Garnet was almost immediately blown away with how much effort was put into this date night.

"Did you put all this effort in ... for me?" She asked, amazed at how everything looked.

"Well yeah ... Amethyst helped me get it all together but yeah ... I did this for you!" He replied with a smile on his face.

"I love you." Was her simple reply as she pulled Y/N into a tight hug.

"I love you too! But should we get this party started?" Y/N said as he chuckled.

Garnet nodded and parted the hug. Y/N then dragged her over to the table and presented his work of art. "Its not the best ... you can tell me if you don't like it but ... it was the best I was able to do." He said nervously.

The couple sat down opposite each other and dug in. Although Y/N couldn't see it, the moment her tongue touched the food, stars appeared in her eyes.

"Y/N, this is really good." Garnet said as she ate some more.

"I'm glad you think so, I was scared you wouldn't like it." Y/N chuckled.

The two sat and ate the dinner that Y/N had made, it was nice for the both of them to sit and enjoy each others presence. While Garnet wasn't the biggest fan of eating, she did like the spaghetti he made. The conversation between the two was light, complements were shared and stories were told as the food continued to be eaten.

It didn't take long for the food to be devoured, once it was, Y/N stood up and took Garnet to the next part of the date.

"The next part isn't anything too special, just a movie between the two of us!" Y/N proudly said as he brought Garnet to the sofa that sat in front of the TV.

"So, anything strike you're fancy?" He said as he gestured to some movies he picked out.

Garnet didn't say anything at first, she carefully looked at each movie and before long, picked out one that caught her eye.

"I would like to watch this one." She said as she held up a movie called 'Wild Wild West'.

"Oh! A cowboy film huh? Lets do it!" Y/N smiled as he took the film and inserted it into the TV and sat down next to Garnet. Of course it didn't take long for Garnet to pull him close so they could snuggle while watching the movie.

----------------

The couple had been watching the cowboy film for just over an hour, the film had reached its peak with the hero going against the villain.

"This town ain't big enough for the two of us." The hero said as he stood ready to draw his revolver.

"That's exactly what I was thinking." The villain stood opposite the hero, preparing to draw his revolver.

The scene quickly switched to a grand father clock as the minute hand turned over and sounded the bell to signal noon.

The two humans quickly drew their guns but luckily, the hero was faster and accurate, wining the duel. The movie lasted a few more minutes before the credits began to roll, as they did Y/N looked over to Garnet.

"So, what did you think?" He said as he separated himself from Garnet for the moment.

"I loved it." She responded with a smile on her face.

"Oh? Who liked it more?" Y/N said with a smirk.

"Ruby. Definitely Ruby." Garnet chuckled as she spoke.

Y/N chuckled and stood up, pulling Garnet up as he did. "Now of the best part. Follow me." He said as he pulled Garnet further up the lighthouse.

Once they reached the top, Y/N took Garnet to the edge to show her the beautiful night time view.

"Did you have a good time tonight?" He asked as he interlocked his hand with Garnet's while looking out at the scenery.

"I had a wonderful time Y/N." Garnet said as she looked at Y/N and smiled.

Y/N took this opportunity to lean upwards and connect his lips with Garnet's. No matter how many times he did it, he would always enjoy it.

Y/N soon pulled away and spoke. "Garnet, can I ask you something?" He asked with nervousness.

"Of course." She said, calming him down as she rested her free hand on his cheek.

"Would you like to move in with me?" He asked which surprised Garnet.

"Wh-what do you mean?" She asked, wondering if he was being serious.

"I want you to live with me ... I know you have the temple and my house isn't exactly the best but ... we could improve it and make it for the both of us ..." Y/N said as he looked up at Garnet with pleading eyes.

He saw Garnet's hesitation and back peddled. "Or or you can still live in the temple and we just make my home more comfortable for you?" He said.

"I'd love to live with you Y/N but I'm needed at the temple. Besides, I can always visit you." She said smiling at her human lover who had somewhat of a sad expression.

"Yeah I guess you're right ... maybe I got ahead of myself ..." He said as he looked down.

"Don't be sad, we can always talk about this in the future ... I won't always be needed at Little Homeschool. I'll have to retire eventually." she chuckled as she finished.

"Yeah ... I love you Garnet." Y/N said as he hugged the large gem.

"I love you too." She responds by pulling him closer.
