Chapter 11: Movie Night

Y/N was currently watching TV in his living room, after Garnet left to head back to the temple he busied himself, waiting for her to return. He wasn't really paying attention to the show he was watching, rather he put something on so he could think about what comes next.

"For all the months I've been here, Steven is constantly being mentioned ... I really want to meet him." Y/N mumbled to himself as he lay there on the sofa. 

Sighing, he got up and decided it would probably be best to start exercising till Garnet came back. It didn't take him long for him to get into his fighting Gi and step out into the Countryside he lives in.

"It's a good day today." He said happily as he looked up at the bright blue sky.

Walking to his usual work out place that's behind the many trees that surround his home, he first practices some fighting techniques and stances that Garnet herself had shown him. He also added in strength and endurance training as unlike gems, humans can develop muscle and in turn, become stronger. Y/N chose to exploit this as much as he could, lifting multiple stones or logs to enhance his legs and arms.

This continued on for almost an hour until a familiar gem called out to him

"Hello Y/N, I see that the training is going well for you." Garnet said as she looked over his body.

"Heh ... yeah, I mean, I don't have too many muscles but more than I did before ..." He chuckled as he stopped what he was doing and walked over to Garnet.

Garnet just smiled and leaned forwards to connect her lips with Y/N's, what she wasn't expecting was for Y/N to deepen the kiss by pulling her closer. The kiss lasted a few minutes until Y/N pulled away.

"Aren't you an  ambitious one." Garnet chuckled.

"Yeah well, your lips are pretty addictive to be honest." Y/N replied as they stood together, holding each other in a tight embrace.

The two stayed like that for some time until Garnet spoke up. "The gems are having a movie night tonight. Would you like to come?" She said, already knowing the answer.

"I didn't know that you guys even like watching movies." He said surprised. "But I'd love to!" He added with a smile.

Garnet released him from the tight embrace. "Why don't we go for a walk?" Garnet asked as she held onto his hands.

"Yeah okay!" He responded as he let go of one of her hands.

The two of them walked down the path near Y/N's house, taking in the sun and atmosphere of this beautiful planet. 

"Hey Garnet? Would you like to go on a date?" Y/N asked suddenly as he looked towards her.

Garnet smiled. "Of course, did you have anywhere in mind?" She added.

He thought for a moment as he and Garnet continued casually down the path. "How about ... I take you to dinner? I know gems don't need to eat but it'll be nice." Y/N said as he smiled towards her.

It was Garnet's turn to think, she didn't mind eating but she wasn't like Amethyst. "Sure, when would you like to go?" She asked the small human on her right.

"How about now? Just go down to Fishstew Pizza or something." Y/N said as the couple changed course towards Beach City.

It didn't take long before the two found themselves inside of Fishstew Pizza. They placed their orders and sat near the corner trying not to bring attention to them. The conversation was light and even a few compliments were shared, the two already enjoying themselves.

Y/N looked at Garnet. "What ... do you see in me?" He asked, curious to what the answer would be.

Garnet knew what he meant. "From when I first met you, I could tell there was something different about you ... something special." She started, making Y/N blush straight off the bat. "As we spend more time together I felt a connection with you, you're special Y/N. Not because of who you are but what you mean ... to me." She finished as a small blush crept onto her cheeks, Y/N on the other hand was blushing bright red.

"W-wow ... Garnet ... I don't know what to say ..." He stuttered but instead of carrying on, he leaned over the table and kissed Garnet on the lips. 

"Get a room you two." A human girl said as she came with the order for the two watching the scene unfold in front of her.

"Heh ... sorry." Y/N said cutting the kiss short as he watched the girl deposit the order he and Garnet made.

"Well ... shall we dig in?" He asked with a smile. 

"We shall." Garnet responded with a smile of her own, knowing this was going to be a wonderful date.

The couple had finished their little date a few minutes ago and were currently walking up the stairs to the temple, hoping to see the others for the movie night but just as Y/N was about to open the door, it flung open and a pair of purple arms grabbed him and pulled him into the house.

"Lookie here guys! Its lover boy ~" Amethyst teased as she showed him to the other gems.

"Oh Y/N, nice that you decided to join us." Pearl said as she looked at the human.

"Amethyst please, can you let me go?" He said as Amethyst still held him up. Thankfully, Amethyst let him go to he could sit on the sofa with Garnet.

The gems all sat next to each other with Garnet and Y/N next to each other. "So what're we watching?" He asked as he looked towards Peridot who was stood in front of the TV that had been moved down from Greg's room.

"An appt question ... we are watching CAMP PINING HEARTS ... the movie ..." Peridot said as she inserted the movie and sat next to Lapis and Amethyst.

'Previously on Camp Pining Hearts ...'

Just as the movie start Y/N had gotten comfy next to Garnet just as he did, she put her arm around him, bring him closer. This of course made Amethyst giggle and Pearl to Blush but Peridot, Lapis and Bismuth were to focused on the movie.

The sun had set, leaving Beach City almost completely dark, only the moon and the stars illuminated the area. Garnet and Y/N had just finished the movie night and were heading back to his house for the night.

"How did you like the movie night?" Y/N asked Garnet as they walked hand in hand.

"The movie wasn't the best but it was good. I had you by my side so it was great actually." Garnet said which made Y/N blush a bright red.

"What about you?" She added.

"I found it difficult to focus on the movie, I had this beautiful woman sitting next to me. Oh and she has the best square hair I've ever seen!" He said causing Garnet to chuckle and blush at the statement.

The two of them continued to his house and soon found themselves outside of it.

"Well ... this is me ... as I'm sure you'd know ..." Y/N said as he was thinking of what to say.

"I would stay but I'm required back at the temple. I'll be with you first thing in the morning." Garnet said as she leaned down and met his lips with her own. No matter how many times they did this, it would still be an amazing experience for the both of them.

The kiss soon ended with Y/N giving Garnet a smile. "I love you." He simply said as he walked to the door and opened it, glancing back at Garnet to give one last wave. Before long he stepped inside and disappeared from sight. 

It left Garnet with the words spinning round her head.

'I love you ...' 

For she was in love too.
