Chapter 39: Breaking The News

Its the fourth month since Garnet became Pregnant and she's really starting to show it. She's stopped going to Little Homeschool because she didn't want people to notice just yet, she's gotten very clingy to Y/n and had even more cravings.

A couple of days ago Garnet had convinced Y/n to go to the shop at 5 in the morning to buy some pickles, for some reason she really wanted pickles. Y/n didn't mind and surprisingly got some pickles for his lover.

Even so, with this amount of time that's passed, Garnet knew it was time to tell the others. She had already got Y/n to invite everyone over to his house, sadly, not Steven. He wasn't ready to know just yet, it was lucky he was still on his road trip but never-the-less, Y/n invited Peridot, Lapis, Bismuth, Pearl, Amethyst and Greg to his house. Connie was also left out, mainly because neither Garnet or Y/n wanted her to tell Steven, they can do that together.

Just like the rest of them, Steven will be happy to hear that Garnet isn't going anywhere ... its that Rose didn't need to go that's the problem. Garnet sighed, not wanted to think about it too much, she'll deal with it when she does. It was currently 10 in the morning, she had just woke up and didn't sleep very well thanks to the little one. She held her belly as she sat on the end of the bed. "You sure are energetic at 3 in the morning ~" She cooed as she rubbed her, the baby was indeed energetic which surprised her and Y/n due to Garnet only being four months pregnant.

Garnet slowly stood up and walked towards the door, she wondered where Y/n was since he wasn't in the bed with her when she woke up. Luckily, her question was answered when Y/n opened the door just before she could get to it.

"Good morning Garnet! I made you some breakfast!" Y/n said with a wide smile as he plated the tray of food on the nearby desk that he had recently moved into his room.

"Awh love, you didn't have to." Garnet said with a smile as she inhaled its smell. "It smells delicious darling." She added, picking up the try and taking it to the bed so she could sit comfortably.

Y/n sat next to his lover and watch her eat, it was simple eggs on toast with some orange juice. "Soooo, whaddya think?" He asked.

"Its good!" Garnet replied with a mouth full of food. Y/n chuckled as he watched Garnet eat every last bit of the food he made for her, his eyes occasionally wandering down to her belly, noticing how extended its gotten.

 As usual, she ate the food with incredible speed, much faster than the average human but it doesn't seem to faze her. "How are you feeling?" Y/n asked, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"Much better now." Garnet said with a smile as she moved the tray onto the night stand next to the bed. 

"What about Ruby and Sapphire?" He questioned, even though Garnet still had her shades on, he could tell she looked at him with surprise.

"Why are you asking that?" Garnet responded with a question of her own, cringing internally at how harsh it sounded.

"Well ..." Y/n started, cupping Garnet's cheek with one of his hands. "As much as I love you, I miss seeing their cute little faces ~" He finished, giving her a quick kiss on the nose.

"Awh, Ruby and Sapphire are fine." Garnet said, taking her chance to kiss Y/n on the nose. "They miss you too and what you're packing ~" She flirted.

"Heh, well, we've still got a far bit of today before the others get here, whaddya wanna do?" Y/n asked, smiling widely at his gem lover.

Garnet hummed as he brought her hand up to her chin, pondering what she wanted to do. "Why don't we go for a walk? Just around the forest." She suggested, adjusting her visors.
