"Can I help you?" Y/N asked with confusion laced in his voice.
Amethyst looked up at the Man that asked the question with a smile. "Yo dude, I heard that you just moved here, when didya get here?"
Y/N was confused on why the hell this little person was purple ... 'since when can humans be purple? and why does she have a gem on her chest ...' He thought as he didn't bother acknowledging the question he was just asked.
"Helllllloooooo, anyone in there dude, I said when didya get here? ... shoot forgot to ask yer name ... well I'm Amethyst, what's your name?" Amethyst said as she pulled out a donut to snack on while waiting for an answer.
"Erm ... It's Y/N ..." Y/N said rather slowly because he still couldn't understand what the hell was happening.
Amethyst snickered slightly as she knew her appearance was putting Y/N off. "Dude stop staring ... unless you like what you see ~" She said with a hint of playfulness in her voice.
Y/N quickly widened his eyes while blushing a bright red. "W-wait no no no, I-its just that you're p-purple and have a gem on your chest ..." He stuttered, trying to compose himself from getting even more embarrassed.
"Well duh, it's because I'm a gem ... you must be really new here, lets have a see at what's going on in this house of yours." Amethyst said as he pushed passed Y/N to get a better look at the house only to be disappointed when she saw how neat and tidy everything in the house was. "Aww mann, that's a bummer, was hoping for some mess to poke around in." she added with a hint of saddness.
Y/N quickly shook his head and figured he could ask all the questions later as he closed the door and went to get a drink. "Erm ... Amethyst was it? could I get you anything ... since you're in my house now ..." He trailed off, Y/N wasn't exactly social able since he never really had much of a social life growing up.
"Sure dude, you got any chaaaaps?" Amethyst said with a large smile on her face, she'd never turn down food. To this Y/N nodded and proceeded to look in a cupboard and pull out a party bag size of regular chaaps. "Here." Y/n said as he threw the bag to Amethyst which Amethyst, of course, caught.
"How'd ... erm ... How'd you know where I live anyway?" Y/N quietly said as he twiddled his thumbs on the sofa opposite Amethyst.
"Huh? ... Oh! That Dewey guy at the Big Donut, he told me you live here but walked off before he could properly talk to you." When she finished she stuffed her face in the big bag of chaaps which obviously surprised Y/N.
"Yeah ... I did ... wasn't really in the mood for an extended conversation I guess." Y/N leaned back on the chair to try and relax a bit. "Fair enough dude, I'm not one to judge but you didn't answer my question." He looked over and thought for a moment and then came back to life and said. "Oh! I moved here a couple months ago, my parents brought it for me as a gift and have been trying to get moved in for a while now ... if fact today has been the only day I've actually spoke to someone here ..."
"Well I've got a few friends you could meet, why don't I take you too see them ... Yeah! It'll be fun come on!" Amethyst said as she finished eating the bag of chaaps, Y/N seemed opposed to the idea at first but after a bit of thinking he gave in and said "Sure why not, let me get my coat first."
Once Y/N got his coat and everything else in order he locked the door behind him and Amethyst, they made their way back towards Beach City. "Hey ... Amethyst, what's a gem?" He said with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh we're basically aliens that live on Earth, I'm sure Pearl could explain all the deets but ... never mind, its a long story just ask Pearl when we meet her." Amethyst said as the duo proceeded on their journey towards Beach City.
'Aliens huh ... can't say I'm surprised, I mean, purple skin and a purple gem to match? That's pretty cool.' Y/N thought as there was a silence between the two of them, not an uncomfortable silence but a welcoming one. "So ... Amethyst, who are we going to see?" He said as Beach City was getting closer to the pair.
"Well I was thinking of just meeting Pearl and Garnet at the minute, there's a bunch of people you could meet but it'll be better to start slow and simple y'know?" Amethyst said with a smile on her face, and though Y/N wasn't the best a socialising he couldn't help but get excited to meet these two people.
...
Pearl walked over to the window and sighed. "I can't believe its been almost 2 months since Steven left ... I hope he's doing okay ... he hasn't called for a week." Pearl being on the verge of tears.
Before she could start crying a hand was placed on her shoulder. "Don't worry Pearl, he can handle himself, besides we knew one day we'd have to let him go." Garnet said while looking down at Pearl with a small smile on her face.
"Oh Garnet! I can't help it, I just hope he's okay!" Pearl said bursting into tears as he buried her face into her hands. "Pearl don't be like that, we need to move on eventually. Steven wouldn't want you to be sad, remember that." Garnet said stoically as she patted Pearl on the back for some comfort.
"I know Garnet, I know ... its just so hard but ... it'll try." Pearl said as she sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes. Garner just smiles and went to sit on the sofa as a brief moment of silence fills the room.
"Pearl, do you happen to know where Amethyst is?" Garnet said with a straight face, breaking the silence. After Pearl finished wiping her eyes, she looked out the window. "Now that you mention it, she said that she was going to the Big Donut ... I don't know what's taking her so long."
The two of them didn't need to think about Amethyst for long because she suddenly bust the the door with a human in tow. "Hey guyys, you miss me?" Amethyst laughed as she looked around the room.
"Amethyst! I told you not to kick down the door anymore!" Pearl soon noticed the human standing behind Amethyst. "Oh, Amethyst, who's your friend here?"
Amethyst looked at Pearl and Garnet with a smile before pushing Y/N forward, telling him to "Go on, introduce yourself." Y/N rubbed the back of his neck a bit before speaking. "I'm ... I'm Y/N, I recently moved to Beach City ... then Amethyst found me and said she would introduce me to some of her friends ..."
The room went quiet for just a second until Pearl put her hands together. "Oh how lovely, I didn't expect Amethyst to be so inviting! I'm Pearl and that's Garnet."
"Howdy." She says as she hold up a finger pistol. "Bang."
Amethyst just snickers. "Yeah I can be nice too P ... Oh shoot, forgot I had to help Peridot with something, I sure you can explain all the gem stuff can't you? Thanks byeee." Amethyst says as she quickly runs out the door, leaving Y/N to just stand there awkwardly.
"Amethyst! Don't just leave him here!" Pearl tried to call out to Amethyst but to no avail. She looks back at you. "What did Amethyst tell you about us? I'm assuming not much ..." Pearl sighs as she knows she's right.
"Well ... all she really said was that you guys are aliens living on Earth ... that's pretty much it ... sorry ... I'll leave if you want me too ..." Y/N looks a bit sad when he says this but he understands when he's not wanted.
Just as he reaches the door, a firm hand on his shoulder stops him. "No need. We'll gladly get you acquainted with Beach City." Garnet gives him a smile as she looks him over, she can't put her finger on it but 'there's something unique about this human ...'
"Garnet's right, how about I put the kettle on and make you something to drink while we share stories?" Pearl said with a smile only a mother could have.
"Yeah ... I'd like that a lot." Y/N returned the smile and knew something was different about all of this, he felt ... welcome.
Once the tea was ready, the three of them moved over to the sofa and got comfy before Pearl spoke up.
"I'll begin from our beginning ... We are the Crystal Gems" ...
