Chapter 33: Trying New Things

Y/N was currently walking around Beach City, he was looking for any good shops. Sadly, he was alone, Garnet had been called back to Little Homeschool to take a lesson on relationships, he asked if he could come and help but she said it would be best if he didn't. Something to do with the newer gems not being keen on humans. He wasn't really surprised, it was a miracle that gems like that didn't show up sooner but non-the-less he continued to walked around Beach City.

Y/n's daydreaming soon came to an end when he saw a general store. "Hmmm, Beach City general store ay? Could do with some more milk and cold medicine ..." He spoke to himself, once he finished he headed inside the shop.

Y/n was quick to get some milk, once he picked out what type he moved to find the cold medicine, while he didn't have a cold he did run out of the medicine so he needed to pick some up just in case he fell ill again.

He walked down the aisle that contained various types of medicine but before he reached what he wanted, he noticed a part of the aisle dedicated to 'certain' items. Y/n looked up and down the shelfs, wondering why there was so much of all this stuff but his eyes soon landed on a bottle of lube, he picked it up and examined it. 

"I've always wondered if Garnet wanted to try something different ..." He said to himself, holding onto the bottle to pay for later. He continued walking down the aisle and finally found some cold medicine, he took a few packets and headed to the self-service checkout.

It didn't take him long to scan the items and pay for them, once he did, he walked out the shop with a bag in hand that held all of the things he brought. As he started on his journey towards his home, his mind continued to think about the bottle of lube he brought.

'Would Garnet even want to try it? I mean ... I've read some stuff online that say its good but ... she's a gem it might be different for her ...' He thought to himself, wondering what Garnet would think about it.

Y/n shook his head and continued on towards his house, he didn't know what he would do when he got back home but that didn't matter ... he couldn't wait for Garnet to come home tonight.

Y/n sat on the sofa in his living room, eating some rice he had made as he waited for his girlfriend to return. She took longer than he expected since the time told him that it was almost 10! Just as he was about to give up and head to sleep, a knock sounded from the front door. Y/n quickly put his bowl on the table and headed towards the front door, opening it which revealed his tall girlfriend.

"Hey Garnet! I didn't think you'd be this long!" He said with a light chuckle, moving out of the way so she could enter their shared house.

"My apologies, the new gems have had a difficult time adjusting to Little Homeschool." Garnet said, entering the house as Y/n closed the door behind her.

"They weren't too difficult were they?" Y/n asked, concerned for his girlfriend, hoping that she wasn't stressed.

Garnet sighed as she removed her glasses and rubbed her three eyes. "They were a handful, its surprising after all these years that some gems are still finding it difficult to adjust to Era 3." She said with her tired eyes looking deep into her lovers' ones. 

"Come on, why don't you tell me about it whilst I get changed?" He suggested to which Garnet agreed. Y/n pulled his lover up the stairs and into the bedroom, sitting her on the bed as he moved over to the wardrobe to start getting changed.
