"Alright class, do you all understand that a healthy relationship is key for fusion?" Garnet said as she stood over the other gem couples.

They all collectively nodded their heads, Garnet smiled as she saw some Rubies and Sapphires with their partners, trying to understand fusion and how it works.

"Well then, class dismissed but remember don't force fusion, let it happen naturally for the best experience." She said, smiling at all the couples as they headed to their next geminar. Once all the gems had dissipated, Garnet removed her shades and rubbed at her three eyes. As much as she hated to admit it ... she was confused. It wasn't about fusion, no, it was about the future she kept seeing.

It wasn't a bad future, far from it but everything about it made no sense. She had recently started looking into the future of Y/n and in turn, her own, wondering how things would play out. It started fairly standard, she would see some arguments between the two and she would see good times for the both of them. What surprised her is when she saw multiple futures of her having a child and sometimes even children with her lover, while she did coo and awe at some of the futures she saw, it still confused her on how she was even able to have the children in the first place.

Garnet sighed as she walked out of the classroom and found a bench nearby to sit on. Even though she was quiet, her mind was far from it.

"How is that possible??!!" Ruby exclaimed as she threw up hands up in the air.

Sapphire rested her hand on top of Ruby's shoulder. "I don't know Ruby but it is." Sapphire said, sitting next to her red lover.

"W-what about Rose?!" Ruby responded with even more confusion.

Sapphire thought for a moment, trying to make sense of it herself. "Perhaps Rose could choose if she gave up her form? To us it seemed like if she had the baby she would die and if she didn't she'd live ..." Sapphire started, piecing together some ideas that flowed through her mind. "What if there was more to it then that? What if Rose had a choice to either make Steven half human and half gem, allowing for Steven to have all kinds of abilities or have him be fully human, allowing her to exist ..." She said, have all the information there but not fully solved.

Ruby stared at her wife for a moment, gears in her head turning as she tried to comprehend what she said. "I guess that makes sense ... should we talk to someone about this?" Ruby said, still largely confused with the whole child bearing idea.

Sapphire nodded. "I think we should, how about Peridot? She seemingly knows a lot about what gems are capable of, considering she was a kindergartener." She said as she smiled towards her wife, trying to comfort her. She knew why Ruby was worried, it was because what if something went wrong during child birth and one of them had to give up their gem.

Ruby returned the smile her wife gave her, pulling her into a hug.

Garnet soon found herself back on the bench, still feeling confused but less so as her Sapphire part had shed some light on the ordeal. She stood up, adjusting her glasses as she tried to think where Peridot might be. Soon enough she saw that there's a high chance she would be in her little workshop that Bismuth made for her, it was located directly where the barn was so it meant a lot to her.

Garnet started heading in the direction of Peridots workshop, smiling to all the familiar gems that she passed. It didn't take her long to reach the front door of the workshop and once she did, she knocked twice to let her presence known.

A few moments later, some grumbles could be heard from behind the door which soon opened to reveal the small green gem. "Is it important? I'm working on an incredibly delicate experiment." Peridot said with slight annoyance in her voice due to her always being interrupted in the middle of her experimentations.
