(Chapter 36)

:Sophia:
"What about her" I ask
"She's in the hospital." he says
"Fuck. I'm coming now!" I say hanging up

"I'm gonna have to take a rain check you guys. Stella is in the hospital" I say pointing at Kelly
"I told you grant was gonna hurt her and it's gonna be too late." I say tearing up
"Hold on. Your not driving" Kelly says grabbing me
"Your crying. You can't drive right now" he says grabbing his keys
"Pops we will be back" he continues
"No problem, I'll put dinner away" he says patting Kelly on the back

"What room is she in, Stella Kidd?" I ask Natalie at the front desk
"Room 3" she says pointing toward the room
"Am I allowed in?" I ask
"Yes but she isn't awake yet, she suffered trauma to the right side of her body and then her head." She says looking at the chart
Out of the corner of my eye I see grant
"what the hell are you doing here huh? You put her here!" I say running up to him
Boden comes out hearing my voice and grabs me while Kelly get infront of me
"She's a bitch." Grant says
"Get the fuck off me Wallace. Now!" I say shoving him
"Who the hell do you think you are grant! I will put you in the fucking ground" I yell in his face shoving as Kelly grabs me and pulls me away
"Hey! Look at me. We are here for Stella. Let's go into her room and see her" he says calming me down as boden walks besides us
I see grant smirking and walk away
"Fuck." I say throwing a punch at the wall besides me
Will walks up to us
"Let's get that checked out." He says while walking us to stellas room
"These bursts of anger need to stop." Kelly says looking at me
"The same bursts of anger you have?" I say and he shuts up.
"Thought so." I say rolling my eyes as will walks in to look at my knuckle.
"It's not that bad just a little red" I say pulling it away
"Let me just look at it" he asks holding out his hand
I give him my knuckle
"Yeah it's just a little red. Might wanna put some ice over it but other then that you should be alright" he says
"Well I didn't need a doctor to tell me that" I say getting up and moving closer to Stella
The machines start beeping a lot
Doctors come in to move us out and work on her
"Kelly!" I say breaking down
"It's going to be okay. She's strong" Kelly says grabbing me and pulling me into him.
"I hope. But I'm gonna kill him Kelly I swear"  I say looking at him
"You'll lose every bit of everything you worked for in CFD."  He says looking at me with concern
"I'm more worried about this right now." I say walking away to grab a water

"So your saying that grant didn't put you here Stella" I say furiously.
"No he didn't I promise" she says
"Bullshit Kidd!" I say slamming the little table near her bed
"Hey! hey!" Kelly warns me
"He so did kidd. Don't lie to me." I say to her
"I'm not!" She shouts
"Yes you are, grant did this too you." I say grabbing the arm rest
"No, I fell" she lies
"On your face then again on your side." I say standing up
"No, down the stairs." She says looking away
"Oh yeah. That makes sense." I say nodding
"Really?" She asks
"No. He's beating the shit out of you Kidd. And by the time your gonna let me help it's going to be too late. I'm not living with that on my conscience. So deal with this yourself then" I say grabbing my jacket and keys.
"I'm leaving" I say to Kelly and walk out
"Sophia!" Kelly yells
"No. She doesn't want my help. Then fine!" I say walking out of the hospital

Me and Kelly get home
"Get some sleep babe, I'm gonna talk to Benny" Kelly says looking at me
"Thanks, I was doing that anyway." I say throwing my jacket on the table and walking up to our room.
I get changed into comfy clothes and lay down.
Soon I drift off to sleep.

:Kelly:
"She shoved grant then punched the wall and got aggressive towards Kidd. I don't know what she would do to grant if me or boden weren't there" I say looking towards my father.
"Talk to her" he says
"So she punches me?" I say
"Would you be upset if a man put their hand on her?" Benny asks
"I would kill hi-" I start then pause knowing how I sound
Benny gives me knowing look
"I gotta get going, I gotta be at OFI early. Thankyou for dinner. Tell her I appreciate it" Benny says getting up and hug in me
"Night pops, drive safe" I say letting him out

:Sophia:
"I'm sorry I acted that way kels." I say as I feel the bed dip
"Don't worry about it baby, I know why you acted that way. We need to be professional about the approach though." He says holding me close
"I know, but we can't do anything until she confesses that she's getting hurt by him. And I don't trust myself." I say to him
"Get some sleep baby. We can talk about this in the morning. Shift starts at 7" he says and kisses me then turns off the lamp
"Goodnight baby" I say
"Goodnight"

"We are going to be late" Kelly says hoping up out of bed
"Okay I'm up" I say getting up and into the shower with him.
We finish showering and grab our station bag and get to the station.
"Gabby is leaving today" I say as we get into the car
"It's Tuesday.?" Kelly asks
"Yes numbnut" I say
"Oh. Yeah I guess she is. I wonder how Casey is taking it" he says cringing
"Probably not like a champ." I say pulling my phone out.
I see a text
"Your gonna regret how you acted last night" -unknown
"The hell I am!" I text back quickly and shove my phone into my jacket pocket.
"Did you hear from Kidd since last night?" Kelly asks
"I'm ignoring her." I say as we pull up to the station.
"Don't go snapping at anyone today. Please." Kelly says
I blow a kiss towards Kelly and walk into the firehouse
"Just in time, can I talk to you in my office?" Boden asks
"Yeah." I say and we walk to his office
