(Chapter 40)

:Sophia:
"What do we have to do?" Kelly asks
"Well, Benny asked me to come down to OFI. And then I need to get some shopping done" I say getting in my car with him
"What's my pops want?" Kelly asks
"That's what I'm going to find out" I say pulling out of our parking lot.

"I'm here to see Benjamin severide?" I say to this girl with short hair
"Ah yes, I'm Wendy seager" she says shaking mine and Kelly's hand
"He will be out shortly he talking to my boss right now" she says just as Benny comes out
"Just the person I wanted to see, didn't think you'd make it down today" he says coming over and hugging me
"Hey Benny" I say
"So let me get right to the point." Benny says
I nod and he continues
"So with your history in the fbi and your impressive background on fire investigation. I've talked to the chief and he would like to offer you a part time position as a fire investigator. As you may know we have a lot of backed up cases all the way older then 2014." Benny says
"And We need some more investigators, so I'm coming to you." Benny says who then looks to Kelly
I look at Kelly too
"Can I think about it?" I say turning back towards Benny
"Yes, of course. Just get back to me when you've made a decision" Benny says standing up
"No problem, will do" I say looking towards Kelly to see seager talking a little bit close to him
"Alright Benny. See you soon, hopefully" I say grabbing Kelly's hand as Benny and Wendy walk us out
"Jealous" Kelly mumbles under his breathe
"I'm not." I say as my phone starts buzzing
"Mhm sure" he goes off as I start hearing gun shots
"Shit" I say as I hit the ground with Kelly on top of me
"What the hell." I say as me and Kelly get up as security runs out of OFI.

"Did you see anyone?" Security asks helping me and Kelly inside
"No." I say trying to remember what I saw
"Maybe it was just some stray bullets." I say and Kelly agrees
"You guys are too use to danger, you think it's normal" seager chuckles
"I guess" I say feeling flustered
"I gotta go get some stuff done" I say getting up
"You can't leave right now. We are waiting for police." Benny says grabbing gym shoulder
"Will all do respects benny, I need to go and get things done." I say pulling his hand off my shoulder
"At least let us walk you guys to your car" he offers
"Yeah sure" I say nodding
We all walk out, me and Kelly get in our car
"Thanks pops" Kelly says from the window
"Yeah I'm gonna stop by later and talk to you about something" benny says
Kelly nods

"Can you put the rest of the groceries away? I wanna go take a shower" I ask Kelly
"Yeah go ahead." He says kissing my head
I pull my jacket off and set it on the table with my keys and phone

:Kelly:
I finish putting the groceries away as Sophia is in the shower
I hear a bunch of vibrating on her phone
I trust her, but she's been into her phone a lot lately.
I pick up her phone to see a text from an unknown number
"You must think Kelly will save you from every little thing. That's what you woman think. You think everyone is going to save your from everything. That's not always the case, at least not with your friend." ~unknown
"Sophia!" I say walking into the bathroom
"Yeah" she says peeking her head out of the shower
"Who's this?" I question holding the phone out to her
"It's no one Kelly, probably wrong number." She says wiping soap out of her face
"Sophia, who is this? It's not a wrong number because they know my name." I say getting frustrated
"Give me my phone" she says snatching it
"Who is it?" I question again
"Kelly it's no one, I'm a big girl. I don't need you to handle my shit" she says getting out and wrapping a towel around
"Sophia, come on. Don't be like this." I say following her
"No kelly, leave me alone I need to get dressed"
"Who is it!" I say raising my voice
She looks at me clenching her jaw
"Get out of my face, before I punch you in yours" she says pushing me back
"Your so fucking stubborn." I say
We stop in our tracks hearing a knock on the door
"I'll get it, but I was only asking who it was because they were threatening you. That's not gonna happen Sophia." I say closing the bedroom door and getting the door
"Stella?" I hear Sophia from behind me as Stella stumbled in with bruises and blood on her
I hear Sophia stumble over quickly to help her in.

:Sophia:
"Stella. Grant is so lucky." I say pulling her with me to the bathroom as Kelly follows
"Let's get police involved now. Like actually. Not just tell them. I mean actually go through with something" Kelly says while leaning on the door jam
"We should take you to med." I say wetting a cotton ball with hydrogen peroxide and dapping her cuts on her face
"I'll start the car." I hear Kelly say and walk out
"Let's get you to med." I say she nods I grab her and help her to the car.
