(3 days later)

"Just sign here and here" the desk lady says handing me and severide release papers so we can go home

Me and severide sign the papers and we are released from the hospital and the uber we ordered is waiting outside to take us to the airport

We arrive at the air port, we get out of the uber pay and walk into the airport and sit down to wait for our flight

"Flight 1103 to Chicago now boarding" the speaker says

Me and Kelly walk to the gate and give them our tickets and board the plane

"Soph wake up, we're here" I hear Kelly
I open my eyes confused at first but finally realised where I'm at and why I'm here
I look up at Kelly and smile
We get off the plane and walk out of the airport and make our way to the second uber we ordered

"Where to" the driver asks

"Chicago fire department!" I say
Kelly just looks at me
"Are you ready to go back?" He asks
"Yeah I miss everyone, obviously I'm not going to be working for a while but i can still hang there" I say to him
"Okay, if you want to leave let me know we can go" he said pulling me close to him and putting his hand on my stomach
"I love you" he says kissing my head
"I love you to kel" I say smiling

We arrive at the firehouse

As we walk in I take in everything that just happened
"I'm happy to be back" I say walking in the door
"Me to, we are very lucky to have people who care about us" he says as we make our way to chiefs office
We knock on the door...
"Come in" we hear boden say

We walk in and boden stands up and walks over to us
"Good to have you back in Chicago safe" boden says
"Its good to be back" Kelly says
"Did they catch the guy yet" he asks
"James no not yet" I say as I receive a call on my phone I look on the contact and see "voight" on the screen
"I'm going to step out and take this" I say walking out of Bodens office

"Hello?" I ask after answering the phone
"Hi I just spoke San Diego police department they got eyes on James but they can't make a move yet, so untill they get him into a cell we need to put you and kelly into protective custody" hank say
"Oh, so what come with being in pc?" I ask
"Potrolies follow you guys everywhere and they are at every entrance of your house, you've got guns so if anything happens to go down where you need it, use it. No-one Will ask questions" he says
"What about Kelly returning to work in a few weeks?" I ask
"He isn't going to!" Voight says
"What do you mean?" I ask confused
"Chief is giving him paid paternity leave untill after the baby is born but you guys returning to work when you can all depends on if we catch James before then" he explains
"Oh okay thanks voight" i say
"Your welcome" he says and hangs up

I walk back into chiefs office and see Kelly having a conversation with cheif...the way Kelly smiles when he is happy makes me warm inside

"I talked to voight, we are being put in pc and your going into paternity leave" I say to Kelly
"Really" he says looking at cheif
"Yes son, it's for your guys safety" he says patting Kelly's back
"I'm not mad! I mean, I love working but i need a break and spend time with my girl before our baby is born" Kelly says looking at me and smiling
Boden smiles
"Talk to Christopher" boden suggest to kelly
I look at cheif confused, why does Kelly need to talk to my dad
Whatever I'll find out sooner or later
"I'm working on it!" He says quickly trying to change the topic of conversion
"So how's donna?" Kelly ask
Bolden chuckles
"She alright, she's nervous about the wedding" he says
"Every bride is going to be scared for their wedding" i say laughing
"Yea true" boden says just as a call comes over

Squad3, Engine51, Truck81, ambulance...house fire 1261 north English avn.

"Be safe" I say to boden and he smiles grabbing his radio and leaving the office

Kelly kisses my head as we walk to the kitchen and make food for everyone for when they return

Everyone piles into the kitchen after greeting us with hugs and 'I missed you guys' and 'are you guys okay' we all laugh and eat
