(Chapter 30)

:Sophia:

"Is she okay?" Kelly asks

"We won't be sure until we get to the emergency room" gabby says

"Is the baby okay?" Kelly questions again

"I'm not sure kelly" gabby says checking my breathing

"Right, but do you think she'll be okay?" Kelly says fidgeting around

"Kelly stop. It's okay" I say to him holding his hand which he brings up to his face and kisses

"Okay babe" he says nodding looking at gabby who looks back at him

We feel the ambulance come to a stop

"Let's go get you fixed. Huh?" Gabby says smiling at me and they get me out of the ambulance and we rush into the hospital and doctors rush over to take me.

:kelly:

Everyone from our shift at 51 came to see Sophia. Everyone was very worried especially Hermann.

I'm pacing back and forth. Worried. Is my baby okay. Sophia! Is she okay. Will she be okay? I've lost too many people in my life. I can't lose her I don't know what I'd do without her.

"Kelly sit down" Boden says standing up and ushering me to a chair

"Wallace. I can't lose her. She's not some piece of ass like the rest. She's different" I say looking at him then to hermann

"Look. Whatever happens I'm sure she'll be okay severide" boden says patting his shoulder

"But what if she's not. What if the baby's not?" I say looking down

"Let's just worry about now. Look it's dr.Halstead. Let's talk to him" boden says as will walks over

"Is she okay? Sophia? The baby?" I says standing up

"Yes Sophia is fine." Will says looking at the chart in his hands

"And the baby?" I says anxious

"I'm sorry we did everything thing we could she had a miscarriage" will says looking at Me as boden and hermann come to My slide and pat my back

I storm towards the doors

"KELLY. KELLY" Casey yells running after me.

"WHAT!" I say turning around mad

"You can't just leave her to deal with this on her own." Matt says looking at me mad

"I'm not leaving her to do shit. I need to take a walk and think" I say turning around

"Severide if you hurt her. You'll regret it" Matt says to me with anger

"Oh yeah Casey? What are you gonna do?" I say getting in his face.

Casey shoves me back

"Get your head out of your ass she's going through just as much as you maybe even more" casey says to me

"I know. But I just can't lose her" I say

"Then don't leave her to deal with it by herself. If you do I'll make sure you never see her again" Matt says turning around and walking back into the hospital.

I walk back into the hospital and look over at hermann who looks pissed at me

"Severide" hermann says to me and ushers me over

I walk over. Expecting an ear full

"I understand your hurt too but it's not the end of the world yes it's your child but you guys can try again don't ever storm out on her because that's what her mom did. Then I met Cindy she's been amazing. Look son, you guys are in this together" he says looking at me

"I know. And I won't" I say looking at hermann and nodding

"Go see her" hermann says walking away

I walk to her room.

:Sophia:

I lost my baby. I felt so happy to know that I might be a mom with the love of my life

It's hard to believe this is actually happening

My thoughts are interrupted by a knock on my door. I look to see kelly outside the door

"Come in" I say sitting up

"How you feeling?" Kelly says walking in and sitting down on my bed

"Like i had my heart pulled out. Kelly I can't believe this" I say. Tears falling down my face

"Look, we can try again soph. I love you and I wouldn't want anyone else in the world besides you. We can make this work we always do soph" Kelly says after grabbing my hand.

"I know. And I love you too it's just it's hard to think that we lost our own flesh and blood" I say looking down

Kelly lifts up my chin and kisses me softly and I kiss back then he pulls away

"I love you. It's going to be okay I promise" Kelly says looking me in the eyes.

"I love you too and I sure hope so" I say and Kelly kisses me again but we are interrupted by casey coming in

"Oh. I can come back later if you want" Casey says looking at me.

I chuckle and look at severide who is looking at his phone and it looks like he's avoiding Casey

"What happened?" I ask casey

"What do you mean?" Casey says

"I mean. What happened between you guys because you can cut the tension with a knife" I say looking casey dead in the eyes

"Just a little confrontation." Casey says looking at severide

"I was just letting him know what he'd be getting himself into" Casey continues

"Hm" I say looking at severide who's looking at me out of the corner of his eyes

"We are gonna talk ab that" I say to Kelly who nods

"What do you need Matt?" I say looking over at him

"I just wanted to check on you and make sure your okay and to bring you this" he says putting down some food from a restaurant near by

"Aw thankyou, I hate this hospital food. It's nasty" I say opening the food

"No problem it was Gabbys idea. She just had to get back to the firehouse. Her and shay are taking on another shift tonight" Casey says

"Yeah she told me after she dropped me off" I say eating some food

"Well I'll be back later to check back in on you guys. If you need anything, just holler" he says nodding at me

"You to severide. You need anything let me know" Casey says to severide who nods

Then Casey walks out

"What happened between you too?" I ask

"I needed fresh air after halstead broke the news I kinda stormed out and Casey ran after me say that you needed me and that if I leave you to deal with this by yourself then he'll make sure I never see you again" Kelly says looking down

"I understand you were frustrated. But Matt's right. I need you. I really do. We need eachother right now" I say looking at him

"I understand and it looked like I was walking out on you but I wasn't I promise. I was just trying to get fresh air" he says

"I know. I believe you babe" I say smiling at him

"Get some sleep. You need it" he says

"What about you?" I say

"Don't worry about me" he says

I slide to the side of my bed and pat the spot next to me

Kelly gets up and get in the bed with me and holds me as we fall asleep.
