Rescue Me, My Love

High God and High Goddess

     Bai Qian woke up in her bed in Qing Qui.  She looked around and sighed.  She staggered out and looked at her father before her ascension energy came upon her.  She rose into the air for a moment and was about to fall when Bai Zhen caught her.  "Fuqin, I need to get her to Kunlun!  High God Mo Yuan needs her!"  "I know!  Take her to him, although she will sleep for three days."  With that Bai Zhen walked out and cloud jumped to Kunlun.  When he arrived, he saw JinDe holding Yang Cao by the collar.  He stayed hidden until they had taken him away.  Zhe Yan saw him and motioned to him.  "Quickly Zhen Zhen, bring her to her room."  Mo Yuan was still asleep.  It was close to time to give him another elixer.  Bai Xue was glad now that he wouldn't have to.  When Bai Zhen laid his mother by his Fuqin, he could have sworn he heard his dragon sigh.  "Shushu Zhe Yan, it's almost time to give Fuqin another elixer.  Am I safe to assume he won't be needing it?"  "Yes, Bai Xue, you are correct!  He will be fine now.  Sit here and let him awaken.  When he does, get him to the hot spring to bathe and work the soreness out of his muscles.  If he refuses, grab him and take him anyway.  Tell him I said for you to do it.  Your mother will sleep for three days so he should not be worried.  I will check her now."  He scanned her.  She was fine.  The babies were fine although they were further along than they should be.  "The babies are fine but they have aged.  Her time will be cut short.  I'm surprised she was taken for a trial while pregnant.  Her aura is still unsettled, but you are now looking at the only high goddess in existence!"
     Ye Hua woke up by the lotus pond at Kunlun.  How fitting!  Kunlun was his home, not the nine heavens!  He walked to his room and fell on the bed.  Jia Yun had just left the dining hall when he knocked and came in.  He was surprised when he saw Ye Hua.  He bolted out the door to get Zhe Yan.  Just a minute passed before Zhe Yan came in the door just in time to see Ye Hua raise up and the ascension energy hit him.  Tian Shu and Zhe Yan caught him.  They laid him on his bed.  "Stay by his side for now.  He will sleep for three days.  When he awakens, he will be High God Ye Hua!" 
     Mo Yuan slowly opened his eyes.  When he did, JinDe grabbed him and jumped him to the hot spring.  He removed all of his clothes and placed him in the spring.  He heated the water a little until steam was rising off the water.  Mo Yuan growled and started to rise.  "Fuqin, High God Zhe Yan said for us to bring you here when you woke up to help your muscles lose their soreness.  Please let me help you!  Mother is ok.  Zhe Yan said she would sleep for three days.  He said for you to recover.  Are you ok, Fuqin?"  Mo Yuan nodded and worked to clear his mind.  He had to admit he was sore.  "JinDe, come massage my muscles then.  I am sore.  Explain to me what has happened?  Why was I asleep?  Why do I feel like I've been drugged?"  "Fuqin, you have been drugged.  The day that mother disappeared for her trial, your dragon went berserk.  You erupted and circled Kunlun for hours crying for her.   Xue Xue and I had to get you down.  When you stood you grabbed your heart and pitched forward.  Zhe Yan said we had to drug you or you would destroy the mortal realm looking for mother.  He said it was because of the dragon tear.  We thought it best to listen to him.  We told a tale and had the disciples tell that you and Ye Hua had gone to the far north for dragon training.  Bai Zhen also carried on this deception by stating that the two of you had stopped by his estate.  We didn't want mother or Shushu to fail their trials.  I hope you understand, Fuqin.  We didn't want you to be hurt."  "JinDe, you have done well.  I am fine although I must admit this massage feels good because I am sore.  Is your mother well?  What about Ye Hua?  Is he ok?"  "Fuqin, Shushu Ye Hua is asleep in his room.  Tian Shu is watching over him for now.  One more thing.  Zi Lan caught Yang Cao trying to stab Die Feng.  You will want to talk to them when you feel better.  It looks like mother is now the only high goddess in the realms now!"  Mo Yuan's eyes gleamed and he smiled.  "I knew she would be.  She's powerful like that!"  JinDe finished his massage and helped his father dress.  They walked to the great hall.  Mo Yuan took his seat and drank his tea.  He looked out and smiled at his disciples.  Yes, his life was good! 
     Mo Yuan called Die Feng and Zi Lan into his office.  He addressed Die Feng first.  "Tell me about your time in the mortal realm.  Why did you feel the need to be there?"  "Shifu, we had news that it had leaked out that Taizi Dianxia was on his trial.  Yang Cao had spies everywhere.  Many of them were actually in the imperial government.  Taizi Dianxia was born into the palace to a side consort.  His mother died and mistress, who was the Empress, took him as her own and raised him.  These people were constantly trying to interfere in their trial.  We did what we could to keep them from doing just that."  "Very good.  You did well.  The nine heavens didn't want Ye Hua to succeed.  He is now a high god.  There is now no one in the nine heavens who has the same power level except for Dijun.  Not even HaoDe.  Well I see things have turned out very well indeed!  Bring Zi Lan in."  Zi Lan bowed and waited.  "Sit down, Sixteenth.  Tell me what was your role in this?"  "Shifu, the life that Mistress and Taizi Dianxia led was full of intrigue and sorrow.  Plots were hatching all the time.  Taizi Dianxia had to fight against the plots of his younger brother.  In the end the brother was killed but not before he blinded Taizi.  The brother's son killed him the day his mother, who was our mistress, died.  My part was simple.  I stopped Yang Cao's agents on many occasions.  I worked my way up in the palace guards.  Empress Bai Qian made me general when she saw that I was loyal to her and Taizi Dianxia.  I tried my best, Shifu.  I hope my presence didn't effect the trials in any way.  I only tried to stop Yang Cao."  "Sixteenth, you have done well.  They would not have ascended if you had done wrong.  Send Die Feng and my sons in on your way out."
     Die Feng and the twins came in and took a seat.  "Die Feng, since you blocked Yang Cao's powers, go get him and bring him here."  He stood, bowed and left.  "Now tell me what you two know."  JinDe looked his Fuqin right in the eye.  He saw no weakness.  "Fuqin, Yang Cao had the audacity to call you weak and useless.  I must admit I got a little angry and I grabbed him by his collar.  I told him you had more power in your pinky finger than he has.  Fuqin, I have more power than he does.  Since you have been out of commission, Xue Xue and I have been working hard to increase our cultivation.  We promised each other we would.  You were right when you said we could do better, so we have been."   "And you Xue Xue?"  "Fuqin, I was watching over you so I missed the exchange between JinDe and Yang Cao.  I'm sorry!"  "Nothing to be sorry for!  You both have done well!  Now please check on your Shushu and mother while I deal with Yang Cao."
     Mo Yuan paced in his study trying to digest what all had happened in his absence.  He was very proud of his sons and his disciples.  They had shown that his teachings had not been in vain.  Yes, he was very pleased.  A knock on the door brought Die Feng in with Yang Cao.  He looked a little worse for wear.  Mo Yuan walked around him and stopped in front of him.  Yang Cao had a smirk on his face.  "Time to wipe that smirk off his face", Mo Yuan thought.  He jumped into his face.  The smirk left quickly.  " So you think I'm weak."  His dragon came forth and his eyes turned gold.  "You think I'm a love sick fool who has lost his power?!?  You really believe I'm weak?  Should I show you how much power I have?"  He raised his hand and raised out his pinky finger.  A stream of power came out of his finger and wrapped itself around Yang Cao.  He tightened it.  "Seems to me my son was right.  I have more power in my pinky than you do!"  Yang Cao was angered.  "Unblock my powers and we'll see!"  Mo Yuan jumped them to the training ground.  JinDe, Bai Xue and Die Feng joined him.  Zhe Yan came with the rest of the disciples.   Mo Yuan flipped his hand and Yang Cao had his powers unlocked.  "Your powers are unlocked now.  Prove yourself!  JinDe, show him!"  JinDe jumped right behind his adversary.  When he spoke Yang Cao jumped.  "Didn't I tell you I have more power than you?  Fuqin doesn't even need to do a thing.  He could kill you in one move!  Fight me!"  He called his sword and waited.  Yang Cao hesitated for a moment.  "What's wrong?  Are you scared?  Maybe you should limp back to HaoDe and tell him how you failed to sabotage Ye Hua!  He's scared, Fuqin!  I can smell his fear!"  Mo Yuan laughed out loud.  " Well Yang Cao!  If you can't even fight my son, what makes you think you can fight me?  Your powers are unlocked.  What's your excuse?"  Mo Yuan waited a moment and called JinDe to him.  "Escort him to the gates and send him on his way."  He turned to Yang Cao.  "Tell HaoDe Ye Hua will be there in two weeks to take the trial and receive the seal of Taizi.  If he objects, we will talk then."
     Bai Qian awoke to find Mo Yuan and her twin sons staring at her.  "Welcome back High Goddess Bai Qian!"  Mo Yuan helped her sit up.  "Mother!" Both sons spoke at once.  "Your aura!  It's all blue now!  Our mother is gorgeous!"  Mo Yuan was smiling his gentle smile at here.  "Welcome home, my love!  I've missed you!"  She swung her feet over the bed and felt a kick in the stomach.  Her sharp intake of breath brought hands from three directions to help.  She held up her hand.  "I'm ok.  It was just a kick!"  Mo Yuan placed his hand over her stomach and passed a little energy.  "Is my stomach bigger or am I seeing things?"  "Zhe Yan said the twins had grown faster while you were gone so yes, I guess you are.  Do you feel ok?"  "I'm fine, but I'm starving!  I need to eat!"  "Boys, take her to the dining hall.  Chang Shan has her a meal ready!  I'm going to check on Ye Hua."
     Mo Yuan walked in and sat down.  He was patiently waiting when Ye Hua's eyes fluttered open.  He looked around and saw his brother.  He sat up and was strangely silent.  "Are you ok, Didi?  You seem sad."  "Da ge, JieJie was in my trial.  She was my mother.  In my trial, she alone loved me like I was hers.  My mother had died and I was a baby.  She took me and raised me as her own.  Just like she has done here.  Also I was constantly betrayed by family.  I was blinded but I managed to rule for thirty years.  I learned that sometimes family is not family, but those you love are your family.  I love you, Da ge!"  "And I love you too, High God Ye Hua!"  Ye Hua called forth his aura and noticed the bigger gold waves.  He smiled.  "Ye Hua, Yang Cao tried to sabotage your trial.  If not for Die Feng and Zi Lan, I don't know what would have happened.  We will go to the nine heavens in two weeks so you can receive the seal.  Are you now ready?"  "Yes, I'm ready, but now let's eat!  I'm sure Chang Shan has cake!" 
     Ye Hua walked into the hall and saw Bai Qian sitting there drinking tea.  He ran to her and hugged her crying on her shoulder.  She rubbed his back.  "I love you, JieJie!  You have always been like a mother to me!"  "I love you too, my Xiao Lianhua!"
