Rescue Me, My Love

Children, Children!

     For two months Tian Shu paid court to Chin Chu.  Whenever her mother or Fuqin asked her about him, her tails came out and waved back and forth and she blushed with a sheepish grin on her face.  "So, my lovely Xiao Jin Huli, has your spirit spoken?  Is he the one?"  "Fuqin, how did you know?"  "Let's just say your old Fuqin can see things you can't!  So has he asked you to marry him yet?"  "Not yet, but I expect it any day.  Shushu gave him time off to go spend with his Fuqin.  They are trying to bond.  I don't wish to interfere with them right now."  "A good plan.  Let them bond.  I expect young Tian Shu will be coming to see me shortly!"  Mo Yuan left her to go to the training field.  He was going to the nursery when he heard cries and complaints.  Bai Qian was trying to feed Jingsi and Jiaxiao and Gaoxing and Xingfu were whining and complaining.  "Mother, jiemei take up too much time!  They mean to us too!  We no like!!"  Mo Yuan knew a battle was about to get started when he walked in the room.  Jiaxiao was complaining and Gaoxing and Xingfu ran and grabbed his legs.  The moment they did, a string of power threw them backward off of him.  His patience was at an end!  "ENOUGH!!  As of today, Jingsi and Jiaxiao are no longer allowed to leave this nursery.  They will have no contact with me at all for one week.  They will get themselves under control or I will block their powers until they do!  Now Gaoxing and Xingfu, you will be with me today.  Qian'er, when you leave this room, but up a barrier.  They will learn not to throw their siblings around like paper!"  The moment he picked up Gaoxing and Xingfu the cries started.  He ignored them and walked out the door. 
     Jingsi, usually the quiet one, wailed the loudest.  Having had enough, Bai Qian left them in the nursery with a maid.  The maid didn't stand a chance.  Bai Qian sat down for tea with Mo Yuan.  All hell broke loose in the nursery.  Beam after beam was shot into the barrier until it broke.  Little girls transformed into little white dragons and took off in search of their Fuqin.  They had their freedom so they roamed at will.  Bai Xue was walking to his geography class when he saw them.  They zapped him and took off for the training ground.  Xue was behind them yelling when they burst out and let everything they had fly.  JinDe barely got out of the way of a blast that he was sure was fire!  How did they know it?  "Xue!  Get Fuqin!  Jingsi is blowing fire!!  Get him!!"  Bai Xue blew into the hall like his tail was on fire.  Actually his robe was, but he didn't know it until his Fuqin put it out!  "Fuqin!  Come quick!  Jingsi and Jiaxiao have escaped and one of them is blowing fire in the arena!"  Mo Yuan stood and transformed.  He was over the arena in a split second.  His roar filled the air.  JinDe knew right then he wanted no part of Jinlong when he was that angry.  He sat on a bench and waited.  Two little errant dragons heard their Fuqin but ignored him.  Jinlong swooped down so fast the air crackled.  He caught them both in his talons and shook them hard.  He roared right in their little bitty faces.  He landed in the arena with one under each of his front talons.  Little dragon cries had JinDe standing.  He was about to go to them when Jinlong turned to him and growled low.  He sat back down.  Mo Yuan transformed himself and them back to human form.  He crossed his arms and stared down at them.  "So!  You think that I, your Fuqin, will put up with your shenanigans?  You think that I will not punish you because you are small?  Hmmm?  Hear me now!  You will stay in your room for now.  Your powers are blocked now."  He made a circled with his hand and shot a beam at each one of them.  He picked them up and walked over to JinDe.  "Did they burn anyone, JinDe?"  "Fuqin, Jingsi blew fire and caught Da ge's robes on fire!"  "Yes, I know.  I put them out.  So Jingsi!  You know that I will punish you severely for using fire!!  You could have injured your Da ge severely!  Now to your room.  I'm thoroughly done with your actions!"  He picked them up and marched out of the arena with a determined step.
     Mo Yuan dismissed their maids and sat them down on a quilt on the floor.  They looked at him with determination.  "Sit here now, by yourselves, and contemplate what I have said!  Now I will come get you for dinner!"  He walked out and left them alone.  Jiaxiao tried to call each one of her siblings that she knew were near.  None answered her.  She called for her mother.  She called for her Fuqin.  She called and called.  Jingsi was trying to transform but she couldn't.  She tried to use her powers but she had none.  She crawled to the door but she couldn't get out.  Realizing that they had no power at all, they resorted to the next best thing, a rip roaring temper tantrum complete with throwing whatever they had strength to throw.  Within an hour their room was ravaged, they were alone and no one answered them.  Both of them returned to the door and were banging on the barrier and begging for Mo Yuan to come to them.  Die Feng stood outside their door.  His sympathy was high but he knew Shifu would get him good if he let them out.  He walked to the hall.  He bowed before Mo Yuan.  "Shifu, if I may intercede?"  "Oh?  They charmed you too?"  "No, it's just that they have destroyed their room and now they are at the door banging and begging for you to come to them."  "I am aware.  Not a one of you are to release them!  Pass that around!  Now they must learn a lesson and I intend to teach it to them.  Understood?"  "Yes, Shifu!"  For the rest of the afternoon there was peace and quiet.  Lessons were taught, training went off without a hitch and Mo Yuan was able to teach Gaoxing and Xingfu some new spells and combat techniques.  Peace settled over them.
     Right before dinner, Mo Yuan prepared to go get his spoiled little daughters.  He forbade any interference from their mother or anyone else.  Before he lifted the barrier, he took a deep breath.  He lifted the barrier and nearly fell over from the smell.  Having no powers to clean themselves, they had promptly pooped and peed until they were quite dirty.  There was nothing standing that little hands could turn over.  Toys were broken and thrown everywhere.  Their bedding was pulled off the beds.  It was total bedlam.  Not being able to get on their beds, they had taken a quilt from the bed and wrapped up in it.  He removed the quilt and waved his hand to clean them.  He cleaned their room.  He moved them to the bed and waited.  Jiaxiao woke up first.  She saw her Fuqin and her face wrinkled up to cry.  He shook his head no.  She sniffed.  Jingsi woke up and she too sniffled.  "Are you both ready to behave now?  If either one of you act up again, your learning will be severely set back because I will block your powers."  They both climbed into his lap and hugged him close.  They hummed next to his vein on each side of his neck.  He hugged them close and stood to take them to eat.  The whole family was there except for Baohu, who was tending to Li Li.  He sat down with them and waited.  Jingsi started bouncing.  "What is it, Jingsi?  Do you want something?"  She turned to Bai Xue.  She reached for him.  Xue stood up and took her into his arms.  "So Jingsi!  Are you sorry for setting your poor Da ge on fire?"  She cuddled him close and patted his chest.  "I will accept your apology, sweet one.  Just don't do it again.  Fuqin will punish you for sure.  Never make his dragon mad!"  He returned her to her Fuqin.  "It seems they learned a lesson today.  Did Jinlong pay them a visit?"  Mo Yuan's eyes turned gold and he looked at each child from the oldest to the youngest.  "Yes, I did!  I will take no disrespect from any of you and I don't care how old or young you are!  Understood?"  They all bowed and said, "yes, Fuqin!"
     Now that Jingsi and Jiaxiao decided they had to act better, Mo Yuan set about to train Gaoxing and Xingfu.  Taiyang and Zhenzhu always helped with them and they themselves learned new things.  They were helping when a small voice reached out to both of them.  "Lui ge!  Qi ge!  They both stopped their exercise and looked at each other.  Mo Yuan was showing Gaoxing and Xingfu how to do the cold air spell when he noticed them looking around.  Zhenzhu smiled and answered her.  "Jiaxiao?  Is that you?"  "Me want to come to you.  Where are you?"  "We are in the training arena.  Come!"  Zhenzhu motioned to his Fuqin.  He whispered to him.  "Fuqin, I think Jingsi and Jiaxiao are about to cloud jump here.  Wait."  Waiting patiently, Mo Yuan stood still.  They appeared a few feet away from him.  They grinned big and held out their hands for Taiyang who was the closest.  He hugged them and walked to Mo Yuan who was watching them with a slight smile.  "Ho!  Jingsi!  Jiaxiao!  You jumped all by yourself!  Let's tell Fuqin!"  Mo Yuan held out his arms and they flew to him.  "Fuqin can see that little girls must have lessons too.  Tomorrow you will come with me to train with your brothers.  How about that?"  Jiaxiao asked her Fuqin a question.  "Fuqin, where is Si ge?  Can we go see him?  We want see pretty fox.  He real beautiful!"  "Alright, we can go after lunch.  Maybe your brothers will go too.  Jiaxiao and Jingsi want to go see Baohu.  Would you boys like to come?" A chorus of voices assailed him.  "Alright then!  Let's finish this lesson and then we will go!"
     Tian Shu had spent the better part of two weeks with his new found Fuqin.  He realized he had a lot of traits like him.  They were drinking tea together one afternoon when the conversation turned serious.  "Fuqin, why did you think you couldn't marry my mother?"  "I'll be honest.  At that time, I was dallying with several women.  I didn't think my Fuqin would allow a marriage because she was a new immortal.  I distanced myself from her to keep her safe.  I've been going through Fuqin's writings here lately.  He actually questioned her as to who was the Fuqin of her child.  She lied and told him it was a soldier who was killed in a battle on patrol.  He believed her.  He never mentioned her again until you and Jia Yun were picked to be aides to Ye Hua.  He asked Yang Cao about your background then.  Dijun protected both of you so he couldn't find out anything.  I was blissfully ignorant of the whole affair.  I apologize to you for being a weak womanizing man.  I have settled down, but the one I want doesn't want me.  I guess karma has come around.  I hope you have it in your heart to forgive me.  Your mother was soft and gentle.  She deserved better than me, much better.  So tell me how you and Bai Chin Chu are doing.  Good, I hope?"  "Well, I've been with you so I haven't seen her much these past two weeks."  "This will never do!!  You must see her today!  Hmmm, let me think!  Does she like roses?  Give her a red rose and invite her to dinner.  You and I will entertain her.  Are you agreeable to that?"  "I have rather neglected her.  I'll go ask her to dinner right now!"  He excused himself and jumped straight to the training ground.  She was doing her version of the sword dance.  He was totally mesmerized.  When she finished, he walked out to her and produced his rose.  He handed it to her.  "Bai Chin Chu, I would like to invite you to eat dinner with my Fuqin and I tonight.  Can you come?"  "I will have to ask my Fuqin.  He's real funny about proprietary things.  I'll have him send you a message right away." 
     Mo Yuan jumped his little entourage to the meadow to check on Baohu and Li Li.  She was eating grass by the lake.  When she saw them, she galloped over to them.  Mo Yuan turned toward her so she could smell of Jingsi and Jiaxiao.  They giggled loudly when she gave them a horse kiss and blew their hair.  "Where is Baohu?  I thought he was here with you?"  She nodded her head toward their cabin.  She took off at a very fast pace toward her room.  Mo Yuan jumped them to the porch.  Taiyang knocked since his Fuqin was holding baby girls.  Baohu came to the door in a very high state of disaster.  He was wearing only his inner robe.  His hair was down and he looked tired.  "Baohu!  Are you ill?  You look terrible!"  "Fuqin, Li Li kept me up last night kicking the side of her room.  I finally went outside.  She wanted her blanket.  I ended up going out there four times.  When I complained, she kicked me.  Hard.  This woman is driving me crazy and I have neglected my duties.  I'm very sorry Fuqin."  Jingsi and Jiaxiao started grunting and reaching for Baohu.  He heard a little voice calling, "si ge!  Si ge!"  He took them into his arms.  Since Li Li had kicked him in the stomach, he winced when he took them.  Mo Yuan noted his wince of pain.  "Do you need Jinzi, Baohu?  He needs to check Li Li anyway, doesn't he?"  "As much as I hate to admit it, I do need him.  So I see my Xiao jiemei wanted to see me?"   "Yes, they wanted to see your fox.  Taiyang can go get Jinzi.  Hurry back!"  Taiyang left and Baohu sat down with Jingsi and Jiaxiao.  "Si ge is very glad you wanted to see me!  I've missed your sweet little faces!  Can I get a kiss?"  They crowded into his face and gave him sloppy kisses.  He broke out his fox laugh.  "Fuqin, they are so beautiful!  Even more so than Bo, Chu and Lei!  I hope Li Li and I can have a beautiful girl some day!"  "Isn't she having twins?  You could get lucky!  Have you talked to them?"  "What and get kicked in the stomach again?  No thank you!!  It hurts really bad!" 
     Taiyang returned with Jinzi and Mi Shu.  Mi Shu went to check on Li Li while Jinzi checked on Baohu.  "Taiyang tells me that Li Li kicked you in the stomach.  How bad does it hurt?"  "Actually she got me three times.  It really hurts.  Do you mind looking?"  "Give those sweet girls to Fuqin and lay down here on your bed.  I'll check you over."  Baohu handed the babies to their Fuqin and laid on his bed.  Jinzi scanned him thoroughly.  "Baohu, you must come with me to the infirmary now.  Your spleen is ruptured.  You must have surgery or you are about to get really ill.  Let me check Li Li and explain it to her.  Mi Shu can stay with her for now."  When Jinzi got up, Jingsi and Jiaxiao starting grunting and patting Mo Yuan on his chest.  He ignored them until Jiaxiao spoke to him.  "Fuqin!  Fuqin!  Please unblock our powers!!  We save Si ge!  We save!"  He looked at them right in their eyes.  His eyes turned gold and he spoke.  "Alright, but the first sign of mischief and misconduct I will block you again!  Now go help your si ge.  Baohu, they say they can help you.  Lay down now for them."  He sat one on each side of him and watched.  They placed their hands on Baohu and a golden white glow came off their hands.  They covered him with their power until they were satisfied and then they hugged him close.  Baohu held them close and kissed each one on top of their head.  "Fuqin, I think they just healed me!  Are they that powerful?"  "Yes they are!  Jingsi blew fire at Xue yesterday and caught his robes on fire!  Jinlong had to discipline them for it and blocked their powers.  If they will behave, I will unblock them."  Baohu spoke to Jingsi first.  "Jingsi, can you promise Si ge that you won't blow fire anymore?  Use your powers to do as Fuqin teaches you?  If you do that, he will teach you and he won't block you.  Understand?"  She tilted her head sideways for a moment and smiled.  "Jiaxiao, can you promise Si ge that you will use your powers as Fuqin teaches you?  He won't block you if you learn from him and not hurt anyone except known enemies.  Understand?"  "Jiaxiao understand!  Me love Fuqin very much!  Don't want punishment!  Me love si ge too!"  "Fuqin, they have both promised me that they will obey you and learn to use their powers for good.  They will obey you now."  Gaoxing and Xingfu had been silent, but now they walked over to Baohu.  Gaoxing spoke first.  "Xiao jiemei won't hurt us now?  We only want to be with them!  We will tend them and love them!"  Jingsi held out her hands to Gaoxing.  He held her very carefully and brought forth his dragon to speak.  "Gaoxing loves Jingsi!  You stay with me?"  Her little arms went around his neck and she laid her head on his shoulder.  Jiaxiao went to Xingfu.  "Well!  It seems they have had an epiphany today!  Good!  Now that vacation to Mount Junji is looking better!  We're going to wait for Li Li to have these babies.  Liang Lei is due much later.  I'm sure Hei will message us when the time is close.  Now I hope Jinzi can find out why Li Li finds it necessary to kick you each time you go see her!"
     Jinzi and Mi Shu were trying to find out that very thing.  "Li Li!  Why are you kicking Baohu?  He loves you and only wants to take care of you!  What is the problem?"  She looked at Jinzi and snorted.  She smelled around her large stall, pawed the hay, smelled her water bin and half reared.  She stomped.  Mi Shu knew right away what was wrong.  "Jinzi, my love!  I know what's wrong!  It's her living conditions!  Look how dirty her stall is!  She has no fresh water, no fresh hay, no feed!  Baohu either is lazy or he doesn't know how to take care of a horse properly!  Am I right, Li Li?"  She nodded and cried a horse cry.  "Go get him, Jinzi, and bring your Fuqin."  "Mi Shu, Baohu is about to have surgery.  One too many kicks to the gut burst his spleen.  I'll get Fuqin."  Jinzi was at the door when he was met by the whole entourage.  "Baohu, you shouldn't be up!  Go back to bed now!  I need Fuqin."  "Jinzi, Jingsi and Jiaxiao healed Baohu!"  "Really?  Well!  Am I about to be outdone by my own Xiao jiemei?  In that case, I need all of you in Li Li's stall.  I know what is wrong."  She stood in her stall with a very sad look on her face.  "Fuqin, I need you to show Baohu proper care for a horse.  He has not cleaned her stall, provided food, hay or water that is clean.  She is miserable.  Now do you understand?"  Baohu got down on one knee in front of her.  "My love!  I'm so sorry!  I will learn proper care right away!!  Please forgive me!"  He stood up and turned to his Fuqin.  Mo Yuan showed him.  With a wave of his hand, he cleaned her stall, spread fresh hay, filled her feed bin and built a little water fountain in the corner for her to have fresh water.  He cleaned her blanket and folded it over a rail.  "Better now?"  She nuzzled him with her nose and then nuzzled Baohu.  "Just keep her stall like this from now on.  Every morning and every night come and clean it.  She won't kick you anymore.  Now we're off!  We have plans to make!"  They left Baohu and Li Li alone.
     Mo Yuan left his children in the hall with Bai Qian for snacks and tea.  He was going to his study when he ran into Chin Chu.  "Fuqin!  Just the person I need to see!"  "Oh?  Well come into my study then."  They walked into his study and sat down.  He poured tea.  "What can I do for you, sweet daughter of mine?"  She grinned and answered.  "Fuqin, Tian Shu and his Fuqin, Lian Song haven invited me to dinner.  I need a chaperone to go with me.  I want to be proper, you know!"  "Hmmm, I see.  So do you wish for me to go or one of your siblings?"  "Would you and Mother please come?  That way all proprietary protocol would be met."  "Yes we will come.  We will have to bring Jingsi and Jiaxiao with us, but they should be ok.  Send your message then and let me know."  She bounced out of his office with her tails swaying back and forth.  He smiled, stood and went to get Bai Qian to tell her of the plans.
