More Vacation

     Mo JinDe did indeed send Ye Hua a message.  Having a few spare days, he packed up his whole family and headed to Mount Junji.  He was amazed when he got there.  The little hut was transformed into a very fine estate.  They walked through the gate and were greeted by three Xiao Bai Hulis.  He knelt down to greet them.  "Good morning my Xiao zhizis!  Where's your Fuqin?"  They ran back toward a very large house.  Mo Yuan was sitting at a table drinking tea.  Ye Hua saw him and his heart soared.  He looked healthy, happy and care free.  The old Da ge!  He waved as they all came over.  "Kind sir, we happened upon your happy home and wonder would there be room for us?"  Mo Yuan stood and called them over.  "There's plenty of room now!  Taiyang and Zhenzhu are excellent builders and have built rooms and houses for every family.  There's a quarters for your aides and these young men.  Yu would have her own room away from her brothers.  I'm sorry Yu but you're surrounded by men!"  "It's ok, Shushu!  I had a very bad golden dragon teach me how to hold my own!  I'll be fine!"  He laughed and clapped his hands.  "Just make yourself at home.  None of that rules and regulations stuff while we are here!  Yu Yu, Bai Qian is over there with the smaller girls if you wish to go over there!"  She rose and staggered a bit.  Ye Hua caught her and held her close for a minute.  "Does this mean what I think it means, Didi?"  "Well, I was going to tell you later, but since you know, we are expecting again!  Another set of twins!"  Mo Yuan stood and gently hugged her.  "This is wonderful news!!  Take her over there, Ye Hua.  She needs rest." 
     After Ye Hua left Yu with Bai Qian, he came back and asked for a tour.  They walked and talked around the compound gardens.  "Da ge, you look relaxed and you have a nice tan working there.  Your health seems better too.  Do you feel better?"  "Ye Hua, I've needed this for a long time.  I do feel better.  I'm able to just do what I want to do without any worries.  Did JinDe tell you we encountered some demons here?"  "Yes he did!  I'm thinking we need to send an emissary to them to see why they have turned into nothing but thieves and terrorists.  Surely they could be trying to recover their land and farm it.  Maybe they just want to make war and that's all they know.  We will find out."  "So what do you think of our little get away?"  "This is fantastic!  It's high enough in the mountain where it's secluded from mortals but close enough to travel to that town over there.  I love it!"  They walked side by side in silence for a few moments before Ye Hua turned to his Da ge.  "Da ge, I could feel your presence when we touched down by your gate.  Is there a reason for it?"  "Yes, I decided not to mask myself to see what would come along.  We've killed three dark lands beast so far.  They are drawn here by my power.  That way we can keep the mortals safe.  Why, were you alarmed?"  "No, I just don't think you even realize how powerful your aura is when you're not tamping it down.  You glow.  I mean like the sun.  I was just letting you know."  Alarmed that he was not cloaked at all, he worked his hands and masked his power.  "Better?"  "Yes, better!  I hear Long Li found his wife here.  Is it true?"  "Yes and I must say, she is an exceptional chef!  Wait until you taste her cakes!"  "Did you say cake?"  Ye Hua grabbed Mo Yuan and quickly hurried him back toward the courtyard.
     Zhonglei was quite unprepared to see the brothers together.  She bowed down on her knees toward Ye Hua.  "Tianjun!  I mean master!  Oh I don't know what to say!!"  Ye Hua, being a kind hearted person, told her to rise.  "My Da ge tells me there is cake to be had here!  Since I am a connoisseur of fine cake, I would like a piece please!"  "Zhonglei, I guess you know this is Ye Hua, my twin didi and ruler of the heavens.  He has a thing for cake and can smell it for miles.  Would you mind bring two trays please?  Let him try your cake."  "Right away!"  She was back in minutes with two trays of different kinds of cake and a jug of lemonade.  Ye Hua stared with wide eyes at the assortment she had.  He took a piece and bit into it.  He closed his eyes in total rapture and stuffed the rest into his mouth.  "Hmmm, this is good.  Really good!"  He stuffed piece after piece.  Zhonglei could not get over how much cake he was stuffing.  She was concerned when Mo Yuan stopped him.  "Ye Hua!  Leave some for the children, you greedy dragon!  Jiaxiao loves cake so you don't want to make her mad!"  Bai Qian and Yu walked around the corner with the children.  Jiaxiao, seeing the cakes, flew forward and swatted Ye Hua's hand away.  "Shushu, you eat all the cake!!  Me want some!!"  Being caught off guard he held his hand as if mortally wounded.  "Jiaxiao, Shushu just loves cake!  Won't you let me have some?"  Eyeing him closely, she decided to relent and put four pieces on his plate.  He smiled at her and took her into his lap for a kiss.  "Thank you so much, Jiaxiao!  Shushu loves you very much!"  She took one piece and fed it to him.  She laughed as she split cake to divide it between them. 
     The next morning, Mo Yuan rose early to go hunting.  Ye Hua had the same thought so they came outside dressed in identical outfits.  They looked each other over and nodded.  They walked out the gate and went into the mountain to see what they could find.  Three hours later them came back with game birds for dinner.  The children were waiting as they entered the gate.  A chorus of little voices hit as Mo Yuan and Ye Hua walked in.  "Fuqin, where you and Shushu been?  Me was worried!"  "We went hunting for dinner.  Why are you worried?  Did something happen?"  Alarm passed over his face.  Bai Qian came running out the door.  "Mo Yuan, where have you been?  Come quick!!"  She turned to go back into the house.  He ran the last few steps and jumped over the steps onto the porch.  He followed her into the house and stopped short.  There sitting on the bed were three of the most beautiful little boys he had ever seen.  They looked just like him.  Exactly like their Fuqin.  But what had him absolutely confused was their hair.  Their beautiful golden hair.  Hair that flickered gold just like Jinlong's scales in the sun!  "Dearest, have you ever seen anything like it?"  Mo Yuan knelt down in front of the sweet little boys.  He touched each one on their cheek and ran his hand over their hair.  "Qian'er, I'm speechless!  My aren't they handsome!  Look Ye Hua!"  Ye Hua himself was speechless.  His golden Da ge had given the world a treasure indeed!  They all held out little hands to be held by him.  He picked up all three and cuddled them.  "Fuqin's boy's!!"  Yi patted his Fuqin and grinned.  "Yi!  Look at you!"  They all three started bouncing in his lap.  He hugged them close as he started singing a song for them.  They listened with rapt attention to the baritone voice of their Fuqin.  They patted on him as he sang with little grins to show their pleasure.  Jingsi and Jiaxiao sat by him as they too sang.  Taiyang drew out his flute to play along.  Zhenzhu took his out and played in harmony to the tune they all grew up with.
     The boys shifting meant new beds had to be built.  While Mo Yuan was cutting wood for the projects, Jingsi and Jiaxiao were exploring the woods.  They had found a small cliff side no higher than they were tall with pretty crystals of different colors sticking out.  Try as they might, they couldn't get any out.  A very low growl was heard near them.  They stood together and cloaked themselves.  Jiaxiao called her Fuqin.  "Fuqin!  Fuqin!"  "Where are you, Jiaxiao?"  "Fuqin, we by rock with crystals sticking out.  We hear growl.  We cloak and sit still."  "Fuqin is coming!  Don't be afraid.  I'm coming!"  He was shirtless.  He only had his lower robes on.  No time.  He called Taiyang and Zhenzhu to come to him.  He was about to go deeper into the woods when they came.  "Good!  Jiaxiao called me in fear.  They have been exploring.  Do you know of a cliff with crystals hanging out of it?"  "Fuqin!  They found the old dragon bone!  Why are they afraid?"  "They heard growling.  Lead me to them!"  The three of them spread out in a pattern to smell their trail.  Mo Yuan saw little feet print and followed them.  He signaled the boys to come to him.  They walked down the path and came to the small cliff.  He could see where they had tried to remove the crystals.  "Jingsi!  Jiaxiao!  Fuqin is here!  Where are you?"  He looked for the feet print to see where they went.  They stopped right in front of him.  He searched for their barrier but found none.  He was in a panic now.  He motioned for Zhenzhu.  He spoke into his mind.  "Zhenzhu!  Go get Fenli and Ali!  Hurry!"  Zhenzhu jumped away.  Mo Yuan talked to Taiyang.  "Play your flute.  If there is a beast, it will calm it."  Pulling his flute out, he played a calming tune.  The notes spread through the forest and everything became still.  Mo Yuan was calm but he was getting nervous.  Zhenzhu jumped in with Fenli and Ali.  He spoke to Fenli.  "Fenli, make no sounds but smell for Jingsi and Jiaxiao.  My instinct tells me they are close."  Fenli walked around carefully testing the air for the scent of the little girls.  He pointed at the ground right in front of them.  "Zufu!  There is a masking spell there.  We need to break it."  Mo Yuan worked the spell and passed over the area.  Right next to the crystals was a cave opening.  He drew Xuan Yuan and jumped into the hole.  The boys followed him in and stayed behind him.  Fenli touched his Zufu on the shoulder.  "Zufu, I smell them in there.  There's something else there too, but I don't recognize the smell.  It almost smells like the dark lands."  Mo Yuan nodded.  The cave darkened as they went in further.  He had conjured a light in his hand but he snuffed it out.  He spoke into their minds.  "We are in very great danger but I have to get the girls.  You boys stay right behind me.  Be ready to cast a spell to light up the cave.  Also be ready to bind.  Alright, stay behind me."
     Ye Hua was drinking tea when he felt a wave of great alarm go through him.  He called his children to him.  "Guard this place.  Da ge is in danger.  Do as I say and guard.  Understood?"  "Yes, Fuqin!"  "I'll be back."  Long Li saw Ye Hua about to jump out and grabbed his sleeve.  They landed in the forest and Li shifted.  He took off running with Ye Hua close behind.  He came to the cave opening and dove straight in.  Ye Hua followed him.  Long Li could see the cave up ahead.  He saw Mo Yuan with Xuan Yuan in his hand.  He was trying to get the attention of a large komodo dragon like lizard.  He had Jingsi and Jiaxiao bound on the floor.  When Long Li burst in, the dragon lizard looked at him and gave Mo Yuan the opening he needed to get the girls.  Ye Hua burst in with Qing Ming blazing.  The boys fell in with him.  Zhenzhu cracked his whip right over the eyes of the creature.  Being temporarily blinded, it couldn't see the attacks coming.  Mo Yuan unbound his girls and jumped back with them.  Ye Hua swung his sword and blew the creature to the back of the cave.  "OUT!  Get out now!"  Mo Yuan called as they all backed out.  Long Li ran for the opening.  As they all moved back, Ye Hua swung his sword with blast after blast until the cave collapsed.  They all were outside catching there breath.  Mo Yuan held his girls close to him and blew smoke over them.  "Are my girls ok?  Fuqin was scared for you!!"  Jingsi was so scared she couldn't talk.  Jiaxiao talked in a whisper.  "Fuqin, did Shushu kill monster?  It called us tasty morsels to eat.  It could talk Fuqin!  It got scared when Jingsi said you come.  She said great golden dragon come and eat him for lunch.  He tie us up then."  Mo Yuan hugged then tightly.  "Tell Fuqin what happened."  Jingsi finally found her voice.  "Fuqin!!  We find pretty crystals so we wanted to get some.  When we pulled on big one, hole open and we tumble down.  We was climbing out when creature grab us and laugh.  Him say 'tasty little dragons for dinner.  How nice!'  Me get mad and say, 'my Fuqin come get you!  Him big and bad!'  Him say who is your Fuqin?  Me say him war god.  Him big golden dragon.  Big! Scary! Big teeth!  Him come.  He got scared then and his barrier got weak.  Jiaxiao call to you.  You come!!"  "Fuqin is very proud of how brave you are!  Do you still want crystals?"  They both nodded.  With several waves of his hands, he removed the whole piece of rock and sent it to the compound.  "Let's go home now."  They jumped to the gate.  Mo Yuan sat them down and they ran to tell of their adventure.  Ye Hua was looking a little green.  "Da ge, I used too much power.  Call Jinzi please!"  He fell over on Mo Yuan before he could hit the ground.  Mo Yuan looked up at Taiyang.  "Go get Jinzi.  Tell him what happened.  Hurry."  Mo Yuan and Zhenzhu carried him between them and were met at the door by Yu and Bai Qian.
     They carried him to his room and laid him on the bed.  He was out cold.  "What happened?"  "He used too much power.  Jinzi will be here shortly.  Let's just make him comfortable until he gets here."  Taiyang was back with Jinzi in less than thirty minutes.  "What happened, Fuqin?"  "Your Shushu used too much power.  Do you have what you need?"  He reached into his pack and drew out two elixers.  He gave them to Ye Hua and waited.  Slowly his eyes opened.  "Are you ok, Shushu?"  "Yes, thanks to you!  Help me sit up.  I'm a little weak."  "I gave you a recovery elixer so you should be ok in just a bit.  Fuqin, this place is wonderful!  It's a far cry from that little hut in the woods.  Is there room for everyone?"  "We built rooms for all of you.  It's just a big estate.  Taiyang and Zhenzhu designed it and built it."  "I really need them to build a building for me to house my books and herbs and such.  Do you think I could borrow them from you?"  "Yes, I know they are bored stiff.  By the way, I have something to show you."  "Oh?  Lead the way then!  Shushu needs to rest now.  No getting out of bed either!!"  "Yes, medicine king Jinzi!"  Mo Yuan led him to the main building and down a hall.  He walked in a play room.  Jinzi was looking around when he saw them.  He went and sat down beside the triplets.  He touched each one of them softly and ran his hand over their golden hair.  Jingsi saw him.  "San ge!  You come sit by Jingsi!  Me tell you all about Yi, Yan and Yingjie.  They special.  Like me and Jiaxiao."  "Well let me sit here and you tell me all about it!"  Jingsi chattered on to Jinzi for nearly an hour.  She told him about the scary monster and Shushu swinging Qing Ming with great power.  "Me not scared cause me know Fuqin come.  Me tell monster Fuqin get him, but Shushu get him!!  Him powerful like Fuqin.  Jingsi not fraid anymore."  "San ge is glad to know you are so brave.  You can be my protector.  I use my power to heal.  I need a strong protector when I go out to get herbs to make medicine.  Next time San ge goes I will come get you.  How is that?" "San ge, are you real bootiful like Si ge?  Me want to see!"  Jinzi sat up and transformed right in front of her.  He laid down and rolled on the floor and laughed his little huli laugh.  She grabbed him and hugged him tight.  He licked her face and shifted back to his human self.  "So am I as beautiful as Si ge?"  "Hmm mmm.  You very pretty too.  Me go play now."  She crawled over to her big golden stuffed dragon and laid back against it.  Yi, Yan and Yingjie joined her there.  Jinzi walked back to his Fuqin.  "Fuqin, I have never seen anything like it!  I wonder what kind of powers they will have!  It looks like a very heavy presence of a very viral golden dragon that I happen to know!!"
     Jinzi returned home to get Mi Shu to come to the estate for a while.  She was as surprised as he had been.  "Jinzi, my love, this is fantastic!  Will Yuefu let me plant flowers and bushes and things?"  "Why don't we go ask him?"  They walked over to the outside table where Mo Yuan was drinking tea and watching the children play.  "Fuqin!  We're back!  Mi Shu has a question for you!"  "Oh?  Ask away!"  "Would you let me plant some flowers and bushes for you?"  "Go right ahead!  I told Qian'er we needed you!"  "See?  I told you he would like it!  Let's get to work!"  Mi Shu scavaged the woods looking for plants and bushes to plant.  She used her power to bring forth the jasmine and gardenias to plant.  By the end of the week, the estate was lush with growth.  Mo Yuan surveyed their work and nodded.  "Mi Shu, you know just what to plant!  It's lovely!  This place really feels like home!  Any time you want, feel free to come here."  "Fuqin, I notice you have a nice look to your skin and you look healthy.  This fresh air must agree with you.  How do you feel?"  "I feel rather good.  Why?"  "No reason.  You just look good."  "I need to talk to Xue.  When you return, would you carry a message for me?"  "I will!  We plan to leave tomorrow."  "Alright!  How about tea and snacks."  Jinzi and Mi Shu left the next morning carrying a note to Xue.  He came the next morning with Meili and his baby girls.  They walked through the ornate gate and stood in amazement.  Mo Yuan met them there.  "Fuqin!  Is this the same place?  This is fantastic!"  "I had houses built for all of you.  Yours is right over here.  Bring those girls to Zufu!!"  He took them into his arms and gave them both a kiss.  He led them to the courtyard where all the children were playing.  When Xue saw the triplets, his jaw dropped and he pointed at them.  "Fuqin!!  They have golden hair!!"  Mo Yuan just shrugged as he looked at his oldest son.  "I always expect the unexpected.  You can't be sure either way."  "Your message said you needed to see me.  Has something happened?"  "Indeed it has.  Ye Hua killed one of the Xiyi people a few days ago.  He had a nice little trap set up in the woods that Jingsi and Jiaxiao fell into.  Get your people on this and see just what they are up to in the mortal realm.  I'll show you where he was this afternoon.  Can you and Meili stay a few days?"  "Yes we can!  This place is a far cry from that little hut that was here!"  "I give full credit to Taiyang and Zhenzhu.  They are most excellent builders.  Have you seen the new kitchen at Kunlun?  Chang Shan took them to the modern mortal realm and they came back and built that.  They took the rough plans I had drawn and went further than I would have ever dreamed.  This is the result.  Long Li's wife had managed to escape some ghost clan soldiers and came here.  She is a most excellent chef in her own right.  We lack for nothing here.  As you can see, even the children are doing well."  "Fuqin, you needed this badly!  You and Mother!  I notice she looks much better herself!"  "I have more time to help her here too.  We have nine younger children, you know!"  "Pass me those cakes, if you don't mind.  Shushu told me your chef, what's her name...., ah yes, Zhonglei, makes most excellent cake!!"
