Rescue Me, My Love

Preparations

     Lady Le Xu came to see Bai Qian.  She was feeling better and now wanted to do her part.  It had been two weeks since Mo Yuan and Bai Qian had rescued her.  She owed them.  She knocked on the door and was announced.  Bai Qian was glad to see her.  They made their bows and she came to sit down.  The foxes were asleep.  She looked at them and smiled.  "They are so beautiful!  They shimmer like real gold!  How fortunate you are to have them!  I just wanted to come by and thank you for helping me.  I'm feeling much better and I am ready to take on my duties to help for Ye Hua's Coronation.  It should be a very grand affair!  Is it too late for me to help?" "Not at all!  Chang Yu is overwhelmed and would love to hand you the reins of the whole thing!  I've had to step back.  These children were early so I have not been able to continue helping.  Do you want me to have her come to you?  Or I could send a message now?"  "No, I think I will go find her myself.  It's so nice to be out and about without being afraid!  Please tell High God Mo Yuan thank you from the bottom of my heart!  If he hadn't come to see me, I would have perished all alone.  Now I can be here and actually take delight in living again.  I will take my leave now."   She did find Chang Yu and in no time she was in full swing with the preparations.  She was very efficient and had every detail organized in no time.  The Coronation was only a week away!
     Mo Yuan walked in to the nursery just in time.  The boys were getting rowdy!  "Ho my little foxes!  What have we here?"  When they saw their father, they ran to him begging to be cuddled.  "Ah, just what I needed!  Juicy fox kisses!  Settle down now!  I've come to take you on an adventure.  Mother!  May I take them away?"  "If you give me a kiss, then yes, you may."  With the twins in his arms, he bent down and kissed her soft lips.  Fox licks covered both sides of her face.  Mo Yuan raised up and grinned at her.  "You didn't say you didn't want three kisses, isn't that right boys?"  Yips filled the air that almost sounded like laughter.  "Off with you then!  Later!  I'm going to nap now!"  He walked out with them.  Everywhere he took them there was admiration for them.  Their beautiful fur, their lovely tails, and kisses from the ladies!  Bai Xue joined them on their promenade around the nine heavens.  "So Fuqin, what's happening here?  Kisses from the ladies?  Playboys already?  So I guess you two are trying to uphold the family honor?"  Jinzi fluffed his tails and licked his paw.  Baohu fluffed his tails.  "See Fuqin?  They are already little scamps!  Where are you headed with them?  May I walk along?"  "We are going to see Donghua Dijun.  You can tag along if you wish.  I guess you saw them charming every female in sight.  I'm going to have my hands full!  I'm almost sure they were sent to me as a direct reminder of my own errant childhood.  Karma, if you will."  "When are you going to start their lessons?  Soon?"  "Yes, soon.  They need to learn that they can't harm someone just because they want to.  That fox magic is powerful!  It's a good thing Bai Qian never used it on me way back when.  I would have been in quite a situation!  Ah here we are, Taichen Palace!"
    Mo Yuan was announced along with his sons.  Dijun was sipping tea when they came in.  "Pay your respects to Dijun, boys!"  Bai Xue bowed.  "Bai Xue greets Donghua Dijun!"  Mo Yuan was holding the twins.  Each one turned to look at Dijun.  They both bowed their heads and hid their faces under their father's neck.  "I see you have your hands full, my friend.  Not one, but two!  Such extraordinary color.  Will they come to me?"  Mo Yuan looked at Jinzi first.  "Would you care to let Dijun examine you?  He won't hurt you.  Ok?"  Jinzi let his father hand him to Dijun.  Jinzi looked right into the fathomless eyes of an ancient soul.  He turned his head sideways in curiosity.  "Not afraid of me little fox?  I know another like you!  Brave!  Now go to your father and let me see your brother."  He returned to his father and hid his head against his father's neck.  Baohu was not afraid in the least.  He had no problem looking Dijun right in the eye.  He turned his head sideways like his brother.  He touched Dijun's white hair with his paw.  "I don't know why it's white.  It always has been.  I don't know what color yours will be.  It's hard to tell but I would guess black since both your mother and your father have black hair."  He handed him back to his father.  "They are special, Mo Yuan.  That one can mind talk.  Develop that skill.  It will be useful when he is older."  "He is special.  I guess you heard about JinDe taking them to the training ground."  "Yes.  I found it to be quite refreshing!"
     JinDe was leaving his command tent when he saw his father walking toward him carrying Jinzi and Baohu.  He also noticed he had quite a following behind him.  "Aiya!  Father is as bold as brass!  Not only do the men adore him but now my little brothers!"  "Fuqin!  Who have you got there?  Why if it isn't the runty foxes!  Come here to Er ge!"  They starting squirming in their father's arms so he gave them to JinDe.  They licked him all over his face and yipped loudly.  "I was about to come eat lunch with them and give you a report.  Bai Xue will meet us there."  "That's another reason I came too.  Plus these two seem to like you a lot.  Lead the way then!"  They were walking toward the gate when one man stepped out and fell to his knees.  He gestured to his throat and made the sign to beg.  He fell on his knees again.  "Jinzi, Baohu, this is the man that called you runty foxes.  His voice has not recovered.  He's begging you for relief.  Do what you feel is right."  JinDe sat them down on the ground by the man.  Baohu put his paw on the man's knee.  The man looked up into his eyes.  Baohu, being quite soft hearted, looked at his brother and yipped.  They came closer to him.  Both of their tails started swaying.  Each twin placed a tail on his throat.  A golden glow came to the tails and surrounded his neck.  They stopped and turned to JinDe to pick them up.  For a moment the man sat there amazed and held his throat with his hand then he was able to speak.  "Please forgive me, great fox gods.  From this day forth, please let me be your escort when you come to the camp.  Please forgive me High God Mo Yuan for calling them runty foxes.  I can see clearly they are not runty."  He bowed on his knees again.  Mo Yuan nodded.  "Beginning today you will be their escort in the camp.  Go now and rest today."  He bowed low and left.  "That was a very benevolent thing that you both did today!  I want to know who taught you that."  Two paws pointed at Mo Yuan.  "I don't recall teaching that to you.  When?"  JinDe looked at his father.  "Fuqin, Baohu wants to touch you."  Mo Yuan stepped close and Baohu touched his father on his face.  "When we were born.  You were healing mother."  The voice was clear as a bell in his mind.  "I see you and I need to talk soon.  Very well then!  Let's go eat lunch before your Mother gets us all!" 
     Bai Qian was about to go looking for them when JinDe came in with yipping happy foxes and Mo Yuan and Bai Xue behind.  "It's very rare I have my whole family together.  Except for one!  Where is Xiao Lianhua today, I wonder?"  As if he had heard her, Ye Hua came running in.  "JieJie!  Rescue me from these cursed females!  They have no respect and think I'm nothing but a stud dragon!!  Da ge, I owe you one!"  Mo Yuan burst out laughing.  "Well, you are going to be emperor in a few days, and you are single.  I suppose it's time to look over all these marriage agreements that keep pouring in!"  "On another subject, I'm hearing my very benevolent nephews made quite an impression in the training camp today!  Shushu is very proud of you.  I also hear you have made a friend for life.  He has put in a request to be personal guard and escort for them.  Shall I approve it?"  Mo Yuan nodded.  "Just make sure you have a solid history on him.  The boys seemed to genuinely like him since he humbled himself to beg them."  Bai Xue spoke up.  "Fuqin, we have heard nothing from ghost Lord, Li Jing.  He never reported on his brother either.  I have sent spies for reconnaissance.  We should know something later this week."  "Ye Hua, what do you think of the new spy network?  I'm thinking we will benefit greatly from it."  "It was an excellent idea.  I already reports coming in and Bai Xue is the best at sorting out minute from serious.  I want to keep him and JinDe here with me if you don't mind, Da ge.  Of course it's up to them.  JinDe has great reputation among the army, thanks to a very naughty golden dragon, or so I've heard.  Bai Xue has made a name for himself by being quiet, observing and astute.  Plus the girls like his shy demeanor.  I hear they keep wanting to see his white dragon.  He's quite popular!"  "Shushu, these women around here got news about us because of a certain naughty golden dragon.  He should be made to pay handsomely for his deeds!"  JinDe laughed out loud.  "Yes, he backed himself into a corner for sure.  I happen to know a very beautiful fox who can put him in his place, isn't that right, Mother?"  She sat there with an innocent smile on here face.  "Why yes indeed.  Especially when I do this!"  She sat next to Mo Yuan and erupted her tails.  One caressed his cheek.  He stared straight ahead and his face blushed red.  His eyes turned gold and he growled a low sultry growl.  "See?  Gets him every time!"  She got up and walked towards there room grinning, her tails waving.  Mo Yuan stood up and cloud jumped her right out of the room.  They were left sitting there laughing.  "Well, at least we know Fuqin isn't quite a dead old dragon just yet!"  Ye Hua laughed.  "Not by a long shot!  I wonder where they went?"  Bai Xue, ever the shy one laughed the hardest.  "My bet is the hot pool at Kunlun.  It's there favorite place next to the little jasmine valley with the waterfall."  "Xue Xue you seem to know a lot about it.  How did you know?"  "When I was younger and I was looking for Fuqin or mother, I came upon them together once.  Fuqin sensed my presence and through up a barrier.  After that he always threw up a barrier.  I learned the energy of that so I knew what they were doing.  It makes me proud to know that my Fuqin is a very viral, loving man who has eyes for my mother only.  That makes him even greater in my sight.  He may be the great revered God of War, but to me, he's everything!"  They all raised a cup and nodded.
     Chang Yu sat down on her bed and let out a tired sigh.  With the help of Lady Le Xu, everything was ready for Taizi Dianxia's Coronation.  She could finally rest.  She was about to have her maid draw her a bath when a voice behind her startled her.  "Let me help you, my dear!"  Lian Song!  That sneaky man!  "So who said you could come sneaking into my room?  Huh?"  "I just thought you might need a massage after a long day.  How about I join you, hmmm?"  This cheeky man!  "Only if you can behave yourself!  I do need a good massage!  Come along then!"
