He only knew of two women who would have that much power; his mother, Nuwa, and Shao Wan. He knew his mother would not harm anyone like the snow leopard realm was being harmed. Shao Wan had been dead for millennia. He himself was a young man when she died. In fact, he had killed her. He had loved her, or so he thought. For many years he blamed himself. She had turned her back on their love and fought against him. The hurt he had felt when they fought was enormous. The hurt, the pain, the torment. Not a day went by that he didn't think of her. The more time passed the more he realized about her. Yes, she was his sister through this very school, but their relationship went deeper. Did he really love her? At the time, yes he did. As time wore on there were things about her that he refused to see but finally had to accept. She was a user and a manipulator. She used him for his body. She wanted that big dragon rod under her control. And he gave it to her. He realized later on that he never let his dragon out with her. Only Qian Qian had that privilege. Shao Wan used men to gain what she wanted. He was sure she had slept with Qing Cang. Did he mean anything to her? He doubted it. One thing he knew for sure, Qian Qian was the only woman he truly loved. He loves her truly and deeply. He loves her with his dragon and his male personality. He was walking down the hall when a hand grabbed his shoulder and spun him about. Still in a daze, he looked at the hand before he looked into Ye Hua's eyes. "Da ge! Didn't you hear me? I was calling to you! What is wrong? We don't have the luxury of a misstep now! Da ge!" Mo Yuan had been holding his breath. He let it out in a whoosh. He staggered on his feet and looked Ye Hua in the eye. "Ye Hua, I think I know who it is. Go get Dijun. Get him now. I'll send messages to the others. Go! Quickly! Send my children back here to me!"
Mo Yuan sat down at his desk and put his head in his hands. This danger was real. It was so real he knew he might just lose everything. He heard the footsteps of his children coming. This was as much danger as they had ever been in. He motioned for them to sit down. Taiyang and Zhenzhu sat in front. Xue had his boys with him and JinDe had his with him. Mo Yuan surveyed the room and started his story. "I have called you here because the realms are in grave danger. We have never faced an enemy like this one before. I'm going to tell you all a story. Don't interrupt me until I am done. Then and only then will I answer your questions. Taiyang and Zhenzhu, you are both young and some things I'm going to say you might not understand, but Fuqin will try to explain it to you. Now listen to me very carefully. That meant I had to cut off my relationship with Shao Wan. As you know, Fuqin died and gave me Ye Hua to nurture. Because I had to tend him and pass energy to him, I used my power in small amounts to sustain him. Not long after Fuqin died we went into the demon wars. The only person ever able to beat me in combat was Shao Wan. She was extremely powerful. She wielded a whip weapon with great power. War came. It came down to a battle between she and I. In the end, I killed her. I watched her burn up because she overloaded her Phoenix power to defeat me. Some of the scars you have seen on me are from that very incident. Did I love her? At the time, yes. But one thing was for sure, I never opened my dragon up to her and she never opened up her Phoenix. For millennia I blamed myself for her demise. It took me a long time and many wars later to realize that she turned her back on us. All of us. She was a crude user of men. I know because I was one of them. If she is indeed the one who is trying to destroy the snow leopard realm, she is doing it to get back at me. I killed her. She will want her vengeance. I will tell all of you now, there is only one of you that is anywhere near her power. That is you, Baohu. As you know, she saw through your barrier. I must commend Fenli for realizing she could see through it. I know I would never want to fight her alone. She will use every sexual trick to get at any one of you. As soon as I hear something, I will pass it to you." Mo JinDe looked his Fuqin square in the eye. "Fuqin, can you resist the charm spell this woman is sure to throw on you? I want to know, because if you can't I suggest you stay home. If you betray mother, I would kill you myself." Mo Yuan was rather taken aback by the emotion in JinDe's voice. "Before I would give in to her, I would kill myself. Your mother is the only woman in my life and has been since I was 140,000 years old. You need not worry. If you see that I am unable to do it, then end my life before a hand touches me." A loud chorus of voices rose up. He held up his hand to silence them. "Since Fuqin put up the barrier over this mountain, I am nearly four times more powerful than I was back then. My power level is very high. The only weakness I have had was when Jinlong was misaligned and your mother threw that spell on him. All of my scales have healed back to their proper places. My scales cannot be breached. You needn't worry over Jinlong." His eyes turned gold and he spoke again. "Know this my children, I Jinlong, your Fuqin, will not let any of you be harmed. Yes I am old, but my Fuqin promised Jinzi that I would live to see all of you married and happy. I still have a long way to go. I am not weak by a long shot! Do you trust me?" Another chorus of voices. Baohu stood up and he was wringing his hands. "Fuqin, I failed you! I failed when she saw through my barrier. I failed to save Hei's family. The snow leopard realm is probably about to be destroyed. I failed and I am not worthy to be the God of War. Please forgive me!" He fell down on his knees and his head hit the floor. Xue went to Baohu and put his arm around him. "Xiao Jin Huli! Don't be so upset! She could have seen through any of us, Fuqin included." He turned to look at his Fuqin very closely. "Or could she? I have a plan, Fuqin! Please hear me!!"
Bai Xue stood up and put his knuckle to his chin. A thought came to him and he raised his finger and looked straight at his mother. "Fuqin, start writing your messages now to everyone. Baohu, call Jinzi right now. Let's get everyone under this barrier quickly. JinDe, you go get Zhe Yan and Shushu Bai Zhen. Tianjun Ye Hua! Make sure your family is secure. I have a feeling the snow leopard realm is about to be free. Junjie! You go get Dijun and tell him to bring his whole household. Tell him to shut down the nine heavens. Tell him Fuqin sent you and tell him why. Tell him you are waiting on him. Go now!" Junjie left in a flash. "Fuqin, I'm not over riding your authority, but I can see it from a different angle. She wants you. She will do whatever it takes to get you. I say you stay under this barrier so she doesn't know what you are doing. Inform the gate guardians to shut the gates. Ye Hua had messages going to every realm to shut their borders.
"All messages are sent. Baohu, contact Junjie now. Tell me what he says." Baohu called to Junjie but he got no answer. He called again. Worry started to etch his face and he looked at his Fuqin filled with fear. He was about to call again when Junjie answered him. "Baohu, Dijun is gathering his household. We are nearly ready to move. He is very agitated. Tell Fuqin all is well. We will be there shortly." He let out a huge breath. "Fuqin, Junjie told me they will be here soon. He said Dijun is very agitated." Mo Yuan wrote out one more scroll and sent it. "Qian Qian, will Feng Jui bring Gun Gun here? I just sent her a very serious message. "I believe she will. The first thing she will do is shut down everything. She will protect the people first and then herself." "Chen Bo, can you make a fast trip to Qing Qui?" "Yes, Fuqin I can. Do you want me to go now?" "Let's wait to see if my messages are answered." They all went to the hall and waited. Meili's Fuqin came first. He had his family and had shut down his realm. Meili took them to their palace but her Fuqin came back to the hall. Mei Ying's family came next. One by one monarchs of every land brought their families to Kunlun. Spare palaces and rooms were made ready. The energy soared on the mountain. Mo Yuan knew it wouldn't be long before Shao Wan made a move. She would see the influx of rulers and she would know something was up. Mo Yuan knew she hated really cold weather so he knew she would be moving to the demon realm soon. Her energy had to be low. It had to be. They were all drinking tea and discussing who was yet to arrive when Dijun came in. He was madder than he had ever been. His eyes were swirling with anger. "So Mo Yuan! It seems our old friend is back to cause mischief. It's you she is after. I'm sure she's planning how she can get even, but she has sadly underestimated several things. One is your children. She knows about some of them but not all of them. Two, she won't be able to touch this mountain. Her power is weak. I can sense her. She's weak. I was fully expecting her to show up at the gate to Kunlun any time. Did she see you at the snow leopard realm?" "She wasn't there. I left quickly. I didn't sense her there either. I need to know if she has entered the demon lands yet. Bai Xue! Send messages to your people in the dark realms. Find out about any activity." "I've already sent messages. Fuqin, my question is why didn't a sign appear that she was returning? Didn't the Bell of Kunlun ring when you returned? Is her star in the sky? What gives?" Dijun nodded. "I saw no sign but I have not observed to see if her star has risen. I will go to the Observatory tonight. We shall see." Dijun was about to leave when Feng Jui came in with Bai Gun Gun. She saw him and frowned. Gun Gun looked at Dijun and walked over to him. "You're my Fuqin, aren't you?" Caught off guard, he looked deep into the boys eyes. "Yes. I am your Fuqin." "Mother told me but I just wanted to make sure." Dijun looked at Feng Jui with longing in his heart. He really wanted to have her by his side. He sighed and stood. "Xiao Bai, could you please make green bean cakes?" She crossed her arms and huffed. "Please? You know I really like them and it's been so long since I had some." Without saying a word, she turned and went into the kitchen. Mo Yuan raised is brow and looked at Donghua very closely. Hmmm. The old stone was getting soft!
By nightfall nearly every ruler of every realm, except those in the polar regions, were on Kunlun. There was still no appearance. They were all eating dinner when a message arrived from the gates of Kunlun. Taowu was holding a visitor there. He wanted permission to either send them away or allow entry. Mo Yuan decided to allow entry. He was surrounded by his family. She could do nothing and he was sure her power would suffer. He allowed entry. Everyone was silently waiting. Baohu was sitting on his Fuqin's spot. Mo Yuan sat to the side with Bai Qian. His children were close to him. Gaoxing and Xingfu were sitting in their mother's lap. The woman was brought forth by Die Feng. She looked around her in confusion. Wasn't Mo Yuan the God of War? Who is this sitting in his place? Who were these people? Who are they? Baohu spoke first. "May I ask your name high god? I'm afraid I've never met you." "Who are you? Where is Mo Yuan? I demand to know!" "I am Bai Baohu Zhe, God of War, Son of Mo Yuan, Sunzi of Fuxi, Sunzi of Bai Zhi Dijun, Prince of the Nine Heavens, Prince of Qing Qui, Master of Weaponry and Master of Kunlun. Who are you?" She was angry. How dare this little upstart claim to be God of War! Her eyes finally came to rest on Mo Yuan sitting beside Bai Qian. She saw the love in his eyes when he looked at her. Those baby boys must be his. She smirked at Baohu and introduced herself. "Hmmmph! A puny fox? Bai Zhi couldn't ever beat me and I'm sure you can't either. I am Shao Wan, demon queen and ruler of the demon realm." "You mean what's left of it? Ha! Your pitiful kingdom is no more! You can barely hold yourself together here! You are weak and your power is low! I can beat you easily! Care to attack me? Go on! Try it! Call me a puny fox again!" He had stood and was walking toward her. He put up a barrier over himself as he got closer. He spoke to his family in their minds. "Put up a barrier over yourself! Now!" He read the room and smiled. Lightning crackled in his hair and around his body. His armor appeared on him. He pointed at her and laughed his fox laugh. Doubt was in her eyes. The power source over the mountain was weighing her down. Baohu now stood in her face. He threw his strongest charm spell at her. She blinked her eyes twice and grinned. "A fox. A real fox. A man who has dared to.... Charm......me......you puny........*sigh*". He stood back and laughed his fox laugh again. "Take off your clothes, demon queen. We want to see how charming you really are." Mo Yuan frowned and spoke into Baohu's mind. "Baohu, be very careful! Don't forget the children!" Shao Wan was struggling. She wanted the fox in her bed! She wanted him badly! She wanted to kill him too! How dare he charm her. He has power. Great power. She had to get away. She started backing out of the room. She...had...to...get...away! The spell held her and she was trying desperately to break it. "Go back to your pathetic realm and maybe you can find yourself a man there! Now leave before I grow tired of your pathetic attempts to escape! Leave!" He motioned dismissal with his hand and watched her go.
