Okay, guess who has the best dad ever? He knew that I was feeling kinda depressed and down so he took me to the store and we made chocolate chip cookies!!!! Okay anyways.. SO I KNOW I'M A DAY LATE FOR THIS, BUT HEY, VALENTINES DAY UPDATE!!! ENJOY!!! Also don't ask why they're at camp for this just kinda go with it.....

Gods of Olympus was I nervous. Valentines Day, the one day I dreaded the most, as a child I was able to scoff at it and laugh at all the cute couple stuff but now, well now I have a girlfriend and that means I have standards, that means I have to do something special.... And I have absolutely nothing.

I was sitting at the Poseidon table, just casually eating my blue pancakes, and talking to Grover when she came up.

"Hey Perce," she stopped by my table as I looked up. She was only wearing her usual shorts and camp t-shirt but she still looked stunning.

"Hey," I replied setting down my fork. "What's up?"

"Nothing really, I'm about to go set up for training. I get to teach a group of 10 year olds how to use a bunch of pointy sharp sticks we call swords," she sighed, "....yeah this'll be fun."

I smiled, "well hey, don't be too sad it's Valentines Day," as soon as those words were out of my mouth it hit me... 'SCHIST...ITS VALENTINES DAY!!'

"Oh... Right," she replied with a smile, she bit her lip before saying. "Well, happy valentines day... See you tonight?" Her voice was questioning.

"Oh um, yeah, yeah, see you tonight." I stuttered.

"Okay," she kissed my cheek and walked off towards the training area leaving me staring at my pancakes, which were now completely unappetizing.

"You don't have anything do you?"
I looked up to see Grover staring at me, a sceptical look on his face.

"What? Oh ummm... Yeah...look G-Man you gotta help me, please,"

He smirked. "I would, but you see I too have a girlfriend and trust I am no romance expert my friend, I'm struggling just as much as you are."

I sighed, my shoulders slumped in defeat.

"Talk to the Aphrodite cabin, I'm sure they have loads of ideas."

"You're right!" I sprang to my feet and dashed over.

____TIME SKIP______

"Valentines day is the day of love Percy, you need to get her something or do something that shows that you love her," Marina, one of the Aphrodite campers, told me, her brothers and sisters nodded.

"Yeah, maybe something that reminds her of you two, like something from one of your quests," Kylie shouted.
I grimaced, our quests never entirely went over too well, I highly doubted she wanted a memento from one of those.... But something that reminded her of us...something about us.....

"I GOT IT!" I shouted and dashed out the door without an explanation.

_____ANOTHER TIME SKIP______

Alright, 8:05, right around the time we wanted to meet. I checked my back pocket one last time and headed out of my cabin.
There she was, standing by the training centre looking beautiful. Gods was she perfect, her hair fell around her shoulders in perfect curls and her eyes stared at the fountain in front of her.

"I hope you know, it's rude to stare Seaweed Brain," she interrupted my thoughts, turning to look at me.

"Not when it's at something as beautiful as this," I stated, walking towards her.

"You mean the fountain?" She smirked.

I gathered her into my arms and kissed the top of her head.
"I meant you silly," I whispered.

She leaned back to stare up at me, her soft grey eyes made my heart flip.
"So do you really have something planned?" She asked.

"In context," I shrugged, then grabbed her hand and lead her into the forest. We stumbled through the tangled weeds and tree roots till we came upon the docks, we sat down, our legs dangling in the water.

"Remember getting thrown in here?" She nodded towards the canoe lake in front of us.

"It's kinda hard to forget," I laughed. We just sat there and talked for a while, the moon reflected off the water, our hands entwined.

"You know it's funny," she said, "every little girl in the Athena cabin wants to be a princess right now."

"Really?" I asked.

"Yup, well I mean most. We have 4 princesses, 2 fairies, and 1 dragon." She laughed. I chuckled.
"What did you want to be when you were little?" She asked.

"Me? I wanted to be a firetruck." I stated.

"Don't you mean a fireman?" She asked with a confused look.

"Nope," I shook my head, "a firetruck, I was convinced that when I grew up, I would be a firetruck,"
Annabeth burst out laughing beside me, I couldn't help but stare at her, her whole face lit up when she laughed, it was beautiful.

"Alright, alright what about you?" I asked.

"Me?" She wiped away a tear of laughter.

"Yeah, what did you want to be?"

"Oh..." Her face turned sad, and she looked out towards the water. It took her another two minutes to reply.
"Good enough," she whispered.

"What?"

"I wanted to be good enough," she was avoiding my eye, "I wanted to be good enough for my dad, good enough for Thalia, good enough for Luke... I...I wanted to be perfect..."

"Well hey," I put my hand under her chin and turned her to face me, "you're good enough for me, in fact you're perfect to me,"

"Percy, trust me I am so far from perfect."

"I know, we all are, everyone has little flaws about them, a few rough edges but when you find someone worth loving, you learn that you can overlook them." I didn't give her a chance to respond because I was kissing her, she seemed tensed up at first but soon relaxed and I felt her hands come up around my neck, her hands in my hair. I had one arm around her waist, the other held her face. I pulled back, my thumb stroking her cheek.
"Happy Valentines Day," I whispered.

"Happy Valentines Day," she smiled.

"Ahh hold up, I forgot something," I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a box, handing it to her, I said. "open it,"

She lifted the lid and gasped. "Oh my gods, Percy!"
It was a small owl pendant on a simple silver chain, it was encrusted with tiny gems both silver and green.

"The gems are from my fathers place, I had one of his Cyclopes' make it- Tyson says hi by the way,"
She didn't respond just stared at me, her eyes shining.

"I kinda wanted it to symbolize both Poseidon and Athena, you know. Just that nothing can stop me from loving you, not even the gods above, okay?"

"Okay." She nodded

"Here," I lifted the necklace and fastened it around her neck. She touched it and looked up at me.

"I love you so much," she whispered, she reached upwards and rested our foreheads together, my lips brushing against hers.

I love you too,"
