(A/N I MIGHT DO A FEW OF THESE FROM THE GOD'S POVS, TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK)
I'm proud of a lot of things; all the couples I've created, the confessions I've been able to force out of people but still, Percabeth may just be my proudest moment yet.
It was no easy feat getting them together, trust me. All the gods believed they hated each other when they first met and I'll admit I had moments where I too was almost convinced, but deep down inside I knew that they would end up together.
Poseidon scoffed when I told him of my theory and Athena almost ripped my head off.
"Why would my daughter ever fall for the spawn of that sea scum,"
"Very nice Athena, thank you," Poseidon retorted, "but may I remind you that my son will never have feelings towards your daughter!"
Their voices echoed out of the grand hall as I slammed the door shut behind me.
"Love is stupid, the Hunters would be the best place for her," Artemis had told me.
"I thought she had a crush on my son," I sighed, Hermes was so oblivious.
"Love is for children, it's a foolish thing to meddle in," Ares laughed.
It seemed no one supported my thoughts I soon realized it was best if I kept my ideas to myself.
I let the demigods live on in peace for the next two years I watched them recover Zeus' lightning bolt, sneak out of camp to locate the Golden Fleece, with each quest their friendship becoming stronger.
It wasnt until winter break that I figured my time had come, I watched Annabeth jump upon the monster's back, watched him plunge into the ocean, watched Percy be denied the ability to go on the quest to find her only sneak out of camp.
'Ha no crush on her, yah right' I internally scoffed.
I then convinced Ares to come with me to the mortal world as to where I cold confront Percy Jackson, we drove up in the car and I could hear Ares talking to Percy. The car door opened and in he came.
"Ah, there you are, Percy," I said,"I am Aphrodite,"
The poor boy just stared at me in shock,
"Aren't you sweet," I handed him a mirror, "here, hold this please,"
He held the mirror up and I leaned forwards to fix my lipstick.
"Do you know why you're here?" I asked.
"I... I don't know," he replied.
"Oh dear," I chuckled, "Still in denial?"
"I don't know what you're talking about,"
"Well then why are you on this quest?" I had to get the the conversation rolling, honestly the boy was so dense.
"Artemis had been captured,"
I rolled my eyes, that obviously wasn't the main reason. "Oh, Artemis. Please. Talk about a hopeless case. I mean, if they were going to kidnap a goddess, she should be breathtakingly beautiful, don't you think? I pity the poor dears who have to imprison Artemis. Bo-ring!"
"But she was chasing a monster," he protested, "a really, really bad monster. We have to find it,"
"Always some monster," I dabbed at my mascara, "but my dear Percy, that is why the others are on this quest. I'm more interested in you."
He was quiet for a moment, I looked him the eye and the answer came pouring out of him,
"Annabeth is in trouble."
"Exactly!" I beamed.
"I have to help her, I-I've been having these dreams."
"Oh how cute!" I didn't know he was crushing that bad, "you even dream about her!"
"No I mean... That's not what I meant," he stumbled over he words.
"Percy I'm on your side. I'm the reason you're here after all."
"What?" He questioned, I sighed internally, honestly how could he not know?
"The poisoned T-shirt the Stoll brothers gave Phoebe," I explained. "Did you think that was an accident?sending Blackjack to find you? Helping you sneak out if camp?"
"You did that?"
"Of course! Because really, how boring these Hunters are! A quest for some monster? Blah blah blah. Save Artemis? Let her stay lost, I say. But a quest for true love-"
"Wait a second," he protested, "I never said-"
I cut him off, "Oh, my dear. You don't need to say it. You do know Annabeth was close to joining the Hunters, don't you?"
He blushed and I fought back a smile, "I wasn't sure-"
"She was about to throw her life away! And you, my dear, you can save her from that. It's so romantic!"
He seemed unconvinced so I continued.
"Now listen, Percy. The Hunters, are your enemies. Forget them and Artemus and the the monster. That's not important. You just concentrate on finding and saving Annabeth."
"Do you know where she is?"
I waved my hand. "No, no. I leave the details to you, but it's been ages since we've had a good tragic love story."
"Woah," he held up his hands, "first of all, I never said anything about love. And second, what up with tragic?"
"Love conquers all," I promised, "look at Helen and Paris. Did they let anything come between them?"
He furrowed his eyebrows, "didn't they start the Trojan War and get thousands of people killed?"
I waved it off, "pfft, that's not the point. Follow your heart."
"But..." He paused. "I don't know where it's going. My heart, I mean."
I smiled at him. "Not knowing is half the fun. Exquisitely painful, isn't it? Not being sure who you love and who loves you? Oh, you kids! It's so cute I'm going to cry."
"No, no," he said. "Don't do that,"
I blinked away fake tears. "And don't worry Percy. I'm not going to let this be easy and boring for you. No, I have some wonderful surprises in store. Anguish. Indecision. Oh, just you wait."
"That's really okay," he replied. "Don't go to any trouble."
"You're so cute. I wish all my daughters could break the heart of a boy as nice as you," I said. "Now, you'd better go. And do be careful in my husband's territory, Percy. Don't take anything. He is awfully fussy about his trinkets and trash."
"What?" He asked. "You mean Hephaestus?"
I was about to answer but the car door was jerked open and Ares pulled him out. It didn't matter though my job was done.
I returned to Olympus to watch Percy not only save Annabeth but also hold up the sky. Oh how romantic!
And if you think I didn't notice their little dance later on at the celebratory feast after, you are wrong. After all I may or may not have sent along an extra wave of courage just to help him ask.
I continued to watch as the years went on helping out every so often sending hints, getting my daughters to try and help. I watched the Mount St. Helens incident, and resentfully observed Percy's time in Ogygia, much to my distaste might I add. I certainly gave Hera quite a time for that.
I couldn't watch the Battle of Manhattan as much as I would have liked although word has it that Annabeth took a poisoned knife for him.
Standing then with the council and as Percy was to decide on wether on not to become a god I'll admit I was nervous. Yes, I a goddess, was nervous. I had worked so hard and they had come so far only to have Zeus throw this obstacle in my way, Percy glanced back and forth between us Olympians and Annabeth herself.
"No,"
I couldn't believe it, he had turned down immortality just to be with her. That was true love.
And that's why I smiled down as my daughters along with the other campers threw the new couple into the lake. More was to come for them, oh that was true, but Percabeth was an everlasting couple. There was no denying that.
