A/N OKAY HOW DO I PUT THIS....... LIFE IS STILL PRETTY CRAPPY FOR ME, INFACT IT'S STILL KINDA AWFUL BUT WHAT'S EVEN WORSE IS HOW BAD I FEEL ABOUT NOT UPDATING AND I REALIZED THAT THIS STORY HELPS ME SOMEWHAT. I CAN ESCAPE REALITY FOR A LITTLE BIT WHENEVER I WRITE. SO HERE I AM, MY UPDATES WILL STILL BE A LITTLE OFF COURSE AND YOU MIGHT NOT HEAR FROM ME FOR A COUPLE WEEKS AT A TIME BUT I PROMISE I WILL TRY TO START UPDATING. I'VE BEEN READING THROUGH A LOT OF MY OLD STORIES SAVED ON MY PHONE AND I KEEP FINDING THESE SCENES THAT JUST MAKE ME SMILE SO I HOPE YOU ENJOY.
(This is in Percy's POV 'cause first off, who doesn't love Percy? And second, I always feel better writing from his)

PERCY:
I stared at the bottom of the bunk above me trying every method I knew possible to go to sleep, I'd been suffering from what you could call insomnia lately and most nights I wouldn't fall asleep until breakfast the next morning. Glancing over at the clock on the bedside table, the glowing red numbers read 2:26 AM; I groaned and slumped back down on my pillow squeezing my eyes shut. Screw sheep, counting the numbers of hours I'd slept in the past week was a much easier number.
Still mumbling and cursing I sat up rubbing my eyes, I pulled my hoodie over my head and walked out the cabin door; careful to keep watch for any harpies I slowly creeped my way over to the Athena cabin standing outside of the window I knew was beside Annabeth's bed.

"Pssst Beth," I lightly tapped the window. "Annabeth?"
She turned a bit before reaching over and turning on a lamp beside her bed. She looked around the cabin before her eyes landed on me, she jumped a bit but covered her mouth so she didn't scream.

"What the hades are you doing!" She whispered (quite angrily may I add) as she slowly opened the window.

"Can't sleep?" I shrugged.

"Your point?" She glared at me,

Swallowing down my fear of the possible window decapitation I may face if I didn't give a good response. "I was just thinking we could spend some time together, you know, alone. Where there aren't any campers to interrupt us or throw us into a lake."

Her face softened, but only by the tiniest bit. "Fine." She whispered back, still glaring. "But I hope you realize that if we get caught I'm throwing you right under the bus."

"Note taken," I responded as I helped her climb out the window, the ledge seemed a little bit higher up than she had anticipated so she stumbled as she landed, I tried to help her and we ended with our noses practically touching.

"Well this is romantic," I smirked.

"Oh shut up," she pulled away and started walking towards the trees.

"Maybe I should've just stuck with the sheep," I grumbled.

____NOT REALLY SURE IF THIS DESERVES A TIME SKIP....._____

We entered the clearing where we practised knife throwing, Annabeth walked over to the far side to grab a handful before returning to a target.

"What are you doing?" I asked as she threw a knife, hitting the red bullseye with deadly accuracy.

"Practising," she replied without missing a beat.

"Why?" I asked slowly approaching so as not to get skewered.

She stopped throwing knives (probably because they were embedded in the target at the moment) and turned to face me, hands on her hips. "I figured that if you're going to keep me up I may as well put in some extra practise."

"But I thought we could spend time together?"

"We are, you're here, I'm here, we're together."

"Yeah but I mean like-"

"Well if this isn't it, then what else did you have in mind?" She asked tauntingly.
