A/N I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY FOR BEING SO INACTIVE BUT I'VE HAD TERRIBLE WRITER'S BLOCK PLUS, IM NOT GONNA LIE, IM SUPER LAZY BUT TODAY I WOKE UP, MENTALLY SLAPPED MYSELF AND PROMISED TO WRITE, SO I'M DOING THIS BEFORE MY BALLET CLASS STARTS AND OTHER THAN THAT ENJOY! ALSO WE'RE JUST GOING TO PRETEND THAT ANNABETH' S DAD HAS A LOT OF RELATIVES IN THIS
(A/N also this is before percabeth is official)

Most people hate visiting their relatives but me? I actually love it. Most of my cousins are around my age so we get along quite easily, well at least on my dad's side. That's why I always look forwards to the annual reunion.

"Rosa!" I was tackled by a mass of wild blonde hair as I walked through the front door with my family.

"Annabeth!" I wrapped my arms around my -not that I choose favourites- favourite cousin and squeezed her.
Annabeth and I had always been super close, well we have ever since she came back. It was kinda weird she just disappeared at the age of 7 and her family never really told us where she went or why. She came back a couple years later but then left abruptly, it wasn't till we were 12 that she began to reside with them permanently.

"Oh my gods Rosa, you'll never believe what happened. Charlie got a tattoo and apparently Holly wants to dye her hair blue and just come on" she grabbed my arm and dragged me upstairs to her room where all of our cousins were seated.

The majority of us were blonde, a distinct trait in the Chase family. Although a few of us, myself included, managed to squeeze by with dark brown hair. I scanned the group and a smile spread as I recognized all their faces.
Holly, Charlie, David, Kyle, Ronnie, Cara, even Bobby and Matthew were there! Then my eyes rested upon a figure who I had never seen before. He was tall and tanned and looked extremely strong, not to mention he was hot, like breathtakingly hot. He had this messy mop of jet black hair on his head that looked like he had just rolled out of bed, and these bright green eyes.

"Oh right, I forgot," Annabeth interrupted my thoughts, "Rosa meet Percy, my best friend. Perce, this is Rosa, another one of my cousins,"

"I'm just gonna say it right now I'm really bad with names and I've probably forgotten like half the people in this room, so don't get too mad if I forget yours too," Percy smiled at me but I was in a state of shock, this was Annabeth's best friend? I wanted to pull her aside and force her to explain it all to me every little detail but I figured it wouldn't be the best time so instead I waited till dinner where I finally had a chance to get her alone.

The two of us were in the kitchen, making dinner, her cutting vegetables and I was pulling out the plates. I decided now was the opportune time.

"So when where you planning on telling me about this best friend of yours?"

Annabeth's rhythmic cutting stopped for a split second, she recovered right away but it told me enough.

"What about him? what's to tell?" she was cutting a whole lot slower, it seemed like she was weighing each word in her mind before saying it aloud.

"Oh gee, well for starters, HE'S A BOY!" I exclaimed, "on top of that an extremely good looking one, "
It was a fair statement, I mean even for his age, I'm assuming he was 15 just like us, he was stunningly handsome.

I had stopped with the plates and staring at her I could see a blush making it's way into her face.

"Oh my god," I said

"What?" She turned to face me

"You like him," I smirked

"I do not!"

"Yes you do! I don't blame you though, I mean look at him,"

We both glanced through the doorway to where all the family was sitting, Percy was squeezed onto the couch between Ronnie and Charlie, he was laughing at something his face was even cuter when he was smiling.
I turned back to Annabeth who was surveying the scene with a tiny smile

"Annabeth has a crush! Annabeth has a crush!" I teased

"Shut up!" She glanced nervously back through the door.

"Just admit it,"

"Fine," her shoulders slumped in defeat, "yes I like him"

"Oh my god, that's great! I mean you've never liked anyone before!"

"Yeah," was all she said.

"What?" I asked.

"I don't know Rosa," Annabeth leaned against the counter, "it's so weird I mean we're best friends yet I can't stop thinking about him, it's like he's taking over my brain. His smile, his voice, his laugh, it's all I can think about, it's driving me crazy. And everytime he looks at me, I get these insane butterflies in my stomach, and I can't help but want to hold his hand constantly and I catch myself thinking about kissing him and it's so weird!"

"Sounds like you're in love sista," I replied with a smile on my face

"Love? No, no, I don't do love"

"You say that now but trust me when I say this, it's obvious to anyone who bothers to look that he likes you too, so I say just go for it, ask him out,"

"Yeah, no that's never gonna happen," Annabeth turned back to her vegetables signalling the conversation was over.

I smirked and returned to the plates. I silently laughed at the two of them for the rest of the night. How they both jumped back when their hands touched, the way Percy kept staring at her over dinner, the tiny smile that took place on her face when he sat down next to her on that couch. That's why I was overjoyed at the next reunion to hear a certain blonde haired, grey eyed cousin of mine say.

"Rosa, this is Percy... My boyfriend,"

A/N CRAPPY? BAD? LET ME KNOW, ALSO ONCE AGAIN I APOLOGIZE FOR BEING SUCH A CRAPPY AUTHOR AND PROCRASTINATING SO MUCH BUT I PROMISE I'LL TRY AND POST MORE OFTEN, OTHER THAN THAT, AU REVOIR!
