(This is Piper's POV, they're all at camp for winter break)
I watched Percy and Annabeth from across the clearing; I was supposed to be studying for the midterms coming up after winter break, but I'd become distracted. Annabeth rolled her eyes and laughed at something Percy said and punched his shoulder, not hard though more in an affectionate way. Percy chuckled and grabbed her fist, she tried to pull it away but he held on; she said something, though I couldn't hear the words from my position. Percy laughed and let go, he then took step closer and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her up against him, she laughed and ducked her head. He brushed the stray pieces of hair out of her face and said something else I couldn't hear then pulled her chin forwards for a kiss; she had to rise up on her tippy toes to reach as he'd become quite a bit taller than her.
"Whatcha doing?" Addae asked as she sat down beside me. Addae had become my favourite of all the sisters I had, her dad was born in Africa, and her mom was Aphrodite; she was honestly one of the most beautiful people I'd ever met, and her name meant "the morning sun."
"Wishing Jason and I were more like them." I nodded my head in the direction of Percy and Annabeth.
Addae bumped my shoulder. "Don't bother," she said. "They're the perfect couple, nobody comes close to them."
"Yeah," I sighed. "Guess not."

I hugged my pillow closer to my chest, Annabeth, Hazel, Addae, and I were all in my cabin for the time being. It was storming outside, the snow swirling around so much that you couldn't see more than 5 feet in front of you; nobody was outside unless they had to be. The other girls in the cabin were chatting and laughing all around us, while we huddled together on my bed.
"This storm is relentless." Hazel sighed peeking out of the curtains.
"I left all my books in my cabin too, but there's no way I'm heading back there right now." Annabeth sulked.
"Hey Annabeth?" I asked, her head popped up, her eyes brows raised she looked ready to answer whatever question I was about to throw at her .
"Yeah?"
"How are you and Percy such a perfect couple?" I played with a loose thread from my pillow as I asked her. Truth was I'd been obsessing over the past few days; every time I saw them together they were laughing or teasing each other or kissing, basically just being the perfect couple. I loved Jason I really did but he was so uptight sometimes, so strict on following the rules; he was never one to take a risk and sneak out at night or go into the restricted part of the woods. Percy always seemed to be down for anything and was always surprising Annabeth with these secret nighttime explorations or surprise kisses out of nowhere, meanwhile I barely get a hug somedays.
