I met Percabeth

I always knew Percy had a crush on. Annabeth, he was so blatantly obvious about it the way he would go on and on about their adventures, how he would constantly remind me of how smart she was, it really wasn't much of a secret. It was one day that I was in the kitchen putting away the groceries when I heard the front door open.
"Hey Paul," I called out, I knew it was him as Percy was at a swim meet at the moment.
"Hey," he walked into the kitchen, "guess what?" He asked
"What," I shoved two boxes of cereal into the cupboard
"You never believe who was at school today,"
"Really?" I asked, "who?"
"It was Percy's friend the one from camp," he told me
"Annabeth?" I asked, "what is she doing here?"
"I don't know, but there's something else I should tell you-" he was cut off as the front door opened and closed once more
"Hey mom," I heard Percy's voice, "swim meet ended early so... By the way I got a friend with me is that okay?"
"Sure honey, what's his name?" I asked
"Actually it's a she," a girl with curly blonde hair and stormy grey eyes walked around the corner with Percy in tow.
"Annabeth!" I called, "what are you doing here?"
"I'm just visiting right now, my dad had a business trip and I figured I would come to visit,"
"Ohh that's wonderful, well I'm making dinner right away so you two can go watch some T.V or something,"
Both of them walked into the adjoining room and I turned back to Paul.
"So what did you want to tell me?"
"Ohh it can wait,"
I shrugged and turned around to start making dinner.

I poked my head into the living room about to call out to the teenagers sitting on the couch when I noticed something odd, Annabeth was curled up next to Percy her head resting on his chest, his arm around her shoulders. I watched as Percy whispered something in her ear, she laughed softly and he bent down and kissed her forehead.
"That's what I was going to tell you," Paul's voice came from behind me.
"What?" I asked.
"I saw the two if them in the hall way, they were kissing,"
I turned in shock to see my son curled up with what I presumed to be his new girlfriend, I couldn't help but smile. My little boy was all grown up.
