A/N I JUST REALIZED I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOU GUYS AND YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME SO IF YOU WANTED (and only if you want) I CAN DO A 20 FACTS THINGS ABOUT ME OR YOU GUYS CAN LEAVE ME QUESTIONS AND I CAN ANSWER THEM. I JUST FEEL LIKE YOU GUYS DESERVE TO KNOW ME BETTER. ANY WAYS ON WITH THE STORY.

"Alright so here's the strategy," We all crowded around Annabeth as she delivered the plan for our capture the flag game.
This time around it was Athena, along with my cabin- Apollo, Hephaestus and somehow they managed to snag Ares against Hermes, Dionysus, Aphrodite, Demeter and Poseidon.

"Apollo I want you to stay back, you're long range, half of you split into offence, the other half stay on defence, take out whoever you can, and remember; stick to high ground," Annabeth ordered.

"What about the rest of us?" A girl from the Hephaestus cabin asked, I think her name was Heather.

Annabeth held up her hand, "I'm getting there. Now from the intel I've gathered, Heremes is set up all along the boundary while Aphrodite is spread throughout, Dionysus and Demeter are on defence. So, Ares you're our first wave, you're targeting Hermes, take out as many campers as you can. Athena you're taking the second line, try to rush through while chaos is happening and make it as far back as Zeus' fist, I know their flag is somewhere around there. Now Hephaestus, you're our stealth factor, I need you to stick to the edges, plant traps, as many as you can, try not to get caught in battle until you're finished. Everyone got it?"

"Ummm," my sister Robyn raised her hand, "what about Percy?"
I gulped, I forgot about Percy. When he first came to camp he was a scrawny questioning little dork. Now at 15, almost 16, he was a whole lot taller, a whole lot more muscular and a whole lot scarier.

"Don't worry," Annabeth smirked , "I'll handle him."
The conch that signalled the start of the game blew and the campers scurried off to their positions. I slung my quiver over my shoulders and started to make my way to the defensive line when a hand landed on my shoulder. I turned around and was shocked to see Annabeth at the end of it.

"Ethan you're with me," she said.

"What, I thought Apollo was to-"

"I know," she interrupted. "But I need someone to cover me, now let's go."
I followed her as we sprinted through the forest, branches snagged at my clothes and twigs left red scratches on my arms and legs. Annabeth stopped suddenly, her hand held up as a signal to stop.

"What?" I whispered trying to see over her shoulder.

"Hold on," she peered through the leaves of the bush we were crouched behind. I spotted Percy talking to Travis- or was it Conner? It was one of the Stolls. I couldn't hear what they were saying but the brothers both nodded and headed off in the opposite direction.
"Stay here," Annabeth ordered. She pulled on her invisibility cap and slipped through the bush. I didn't know what she was doing until-

"Not so fast wise girl," Percy said, holding Riptide loosely in his hand.
"I know you're there," he continued, "I saw the bush shake,"

Annabeth pulled off her cap and tucked it into her back pocket.
"So you're not as dumb as I thought,"

"I am offended," Percy held a hand over his heart like he'd been mortally wounded.

"Oh shut up, and let me pass," she rolled her eyes.

"Now, I think that would be considered as cheating, don't cha think?" He asked smugly.

"Shut up Seaweed Brain and just let me pass,"
I had to laugh at their banter, they seriously needed to get together, the whole camp knew that.

"Yeah, somehow I don't think that's going to happen,"

"Then I guess we'll have to fight," Annabeth unsheathed her dagger and Percy got a better grip in Riptide. I was glad I was still in the bushes, I had seen these two fight and it was not something you wanted to be caught in the middle of.

"Fine, then let's go" Percy lunged towards Annabeth but she sidestepped going in for a jab which he deflected. Normally bringing a dagger to a sword fight was suicide but Annabeth was one of the best trained campers here, she handled it easily.

"Alright Jackson, you're not too bad," Annabeth panted as they broke apart.

"Neither are you, but I'm still not letting you through," Percy replied.

Annabeth just attacked again in return, she delivered a quick slash to his arm which in turn started bleeding before he grabbed her arm and twisted it making her drop her knife. They both paused for a second before Annabeth kicked his feet out from under him and pulled free.

Percy quickly regained his balance and stood up, he glanced down at his bleeding arm before looking back at her. Annabeth's blade was lying behind him, too far to get to without being hit. Now as an Apollo camper I had always stuck to arrows and longer ranged weapons, so a fist fight was definitely not one of the fighting styles I was comfortable with, however that didn't stop them.

Annabeth, knowing practically every martial arts form out there looked like a flying blonde ninja, while Percy wasn't too bad himself. It finally came down to the move where Percy managed to knock her feet out from underneath, yet as Annabeth fell she managed to trip him too. Percy threw out his arms stopping himself from squishing her, they were laying on the ground Annabeth underneath as Percy was in a push up position above her.

"Ummmm..." Percy stuttered, neither of them moved from the awkward position. I didn't know whether to come out from my hiding place or leave or what, instead I just stayed there still watching an incredibly awkward moment.

"Sorry," Annabeth mumbled as Percy climbed off of her, he stood up and offered her his hand which she took.

"Yeah, sorry," Percy rubbed the back of his neck, neither of them were making eye contact.
I decided to step out.

"Ummm Annabeth?" I asked.
Both Percy and Annabeth turned towards me and they blushed bright red.

"Oh right, Ethan, ummmm, you can, you can go," she stumbled over her words.
I turned to leave and give them space when I heard the sound of cheering. I looked over to see Malcolm racing across the boundary, the Hermes flag changing to the familiar silver olive branched one of the Athena cabin.

"Good job Seaweed Brain," Annabeth congratulated. I turned just in time to see the two hug, it lasted a quick second before Annabeth pulled back and what she did next surprised both me and Percy equally. She kissed him, it was super short but still a kiss, on the lips, on Percy's lips to be exact.

"Too bad I still won," she smiled before running off to join her celebrating siblings.
