(OKAY SO THIS IS PERCY'S POV ON WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST STORY, YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ THAT ONE FIRST BUT IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER ALSO I'M REALLY SORRY IF THIS ONE SUCKS BUT IT'S KINDA LATE- OR WELL EARLY NOW SO YEAH IF THIS IS CRAP THAT'S WHY)

I had never spent New Years at Camp Half Blood before, and to tell the truth I was a whole mix of emotions, I was excited because I wanted to see what holiday traditions they celebrated, a little sad because this was the first New Years without my mom and a little nervous because- well because I was planning on talking to someone later today about something pretty big.

I stood amongst the jumble of people all milling around me, it was getting close to midnight and there was no sign of her. That's when I spotted a mess of curly blonde hair coming my way.
"Hey Annabeth," I smiled, she gave me a tiny grin in return.

"So what do you think about all this?" She asked before the silence between us could become too awkward, it took me a moment before I realized she was talking about the crowd around us.

"Well I've never spent New Years here, but I have to admit it's pretty cool."

"Yeah, what do you usually do?" She asked.

"Well my mom always had me help bake cookies," I went in to explain the disaster it usually ended in.

"Yeah, we have some traditions around here too," she said.

"Really?" I turned my head to look at her.

"Yup, there's fire works and the whole deal...." She started to play with her bead necklace, a dead giveaway that she was nervous.
"And there's this whole thing where people admit how they feel towards each other at midnight!" She blurted out the words so fast I didn't have a chance to hear.

"There's what?" I asked.

"Oh you know, this thing where people confess their feelings to each other at midnight," she wouldn't look me in the eye as she spoke, she was definitely nervous.

"Oh," was all I replied with.
'Real smart answer,' my brain taunted
'Shut up!' I screamed at it.

Annabeth started to speak, "Yeah and um Percy-" but she was cut off the the chanting of.

"10!"
'Oh my gods, here's your chance' the battle in my brain began.
"9!"
'Dude just do it!'
"8!"
'I can't!'
"7!"
'I can't just kiss her!'
"6!"
'Just go for it, what's the worst?'
"5!"
I reached out a hand and tapped her shoulder.
"4!"
As soon as she turned around I grabbed her face and planted my lips on hers, I had my eyes closed so I had no clue how she was reacting but she didn't punch me so it couldn't have been too bad.

"3!
2!
1!
HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!" The crowd screamed.

I pulled back and saw her standing there, those beautiful grey eyes widened in shock.

"Happy New Years Annabeth," I smiled and started to walk away with my hands in my pockets. That night I came to the conclusion that while it may have varied from my normal celebrations, one thing was for sure, that was the best New Years I'd ever had.

(OKAY WELL THEN, LET'S SEE HOW THIS ONE GOES OVER. ALSO DON'T WORRY I HAVE QUITE A FEW IDEAS SO I'LL BE WRITING UP A FEW MORE DRAFTS AND HOPEFULLY HAVE MOST PUBLISHED BY FRIDAY, I HOPE THAT WASN'T TOO AWFUL, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT AND OTHER THAN THAT WE'RE GOOD, BYE)
