Tommy's POV
"Tubbo! Where did you go?" I called, my little legs carrying me across the yard. I had abandoned the ducks as soon as Tubbo had disappeared. They weren't worth it.
"Tommy?" Tubbo appeared into my sight. I looked around, noticing we weren't in the yard anymore. Actually, I had no idea where we were. It seemed like an endless void, like me and Tubbo were floating in thin air.
"Tubbo! I missed y-"
"Oh you miss me now, huh?" In a blink of an eye, everything transformed. I looked around quickly, noticing a sudden height change for both of us. The terrain was different, gone was the endless void. It was replaced by a destroyed battlefield, dead or dying plants all around us.
I looked back at Tubbo. He started to slowly walk toward me. "You didn't seem to care about me, miss me, or anything when you got to go and show off to Techno. It's all about you. You don't care about anyone else or their wellbeing."
"Tubbo, what are you talking about?" I reached out to him. My hand went right through his arm, like he was a ghost.
"What am I talking about? YOU ARE THE REASON MEGA IS DEAD. YOU ARE THE REASON SKEPPY ALMOST DIED. YOU ARE THE REASON I AM GONE. YOU ARE THE REASON PHIL DIED."
A scream left my body as I shot up my from bed. Cries left my body without my consent as I tried to breathe. All I could seem to do was shake in terror, uneven and fast breaths leaving my body.
"Tommy!" I couldn't see him, but I heard Wilbur call out my name. Tears and cries left my body violently as I closed my eyes, wishing for this feeling of fear and sadness to leave my body. I felt the weight on my bed shift and warm arms wrap around me. A hand gently pulled me towards them and I allowed it. I grabbed onto his shirt, trying to make the nightmare go away.
As I felt Wilbur's arms envelop me, I clung tighter to his body. The calm rising of his stomach as he breathed was somewhat comforting, quieting my cries. The tears kept coming, blurring my vision.
"It's ok Tommy, I'm here, I'm here," Wilbur whispered into my ear. He rested his head on my hair, still holding me with his arms.
It seemed like an eternity, but eventually the tears stopped. I don't think I stopped crying because I calmed down, I think I stopped because I was too tired to cry anymore. I felt emotionless, like a vacuum had sucked every emotion, fear, sadness, happiness, out of my body.
Wilbur didn't let go of me. I didn't mind. Normally I would, I hated being held. Tubbo always hugged me, I had found it annoying. He was so clingy. So fucking clingy.
"Nightmare?" Wilbur asked.
"Yeah." I answered blandly.
Wilbur took his head off of mine. "Want to talk about it? You don't have too, of course."
I shook my head. I raised my hand to feel my face, rubbing it across the leftover tears. "Did you ever notice, Wilbur, that nothing changed. Even after talking to Dream, Techno said nothing. He fucking replaced Tubbo. He put Karl with us. It's like he doesn't even care."
"Tommy, shh, it might be late, but someone is going to hear you."
I ignored Wilbur. "Tubbo really didn't matter to most. He was sometimes just there, lurking in the background like a simple side character. Yet he has one of the most beautiful personalities. Strong when he needs to be, but kind and caring the rest. He didn't even want to hurt a fly, much rather a human."
"He was very kind." Wilbur agreed.
"Is it my fault, Will? Is it my fault that Tubbo left?" I asked.
"I..." Wilbur paused.
"Please tell me the truth. Please Wilbur."
"I don't know, Tommy. You and Tubbo are so close, I don't see how his decision to leave was from you. We don't even know where he went. He could've simply had enough of guard life and taken off."
"Why would he have not taken me with?"
"You seem to enjoy guard life." Wilbur shrugged.
Wilbur started to lean away from me, letting his arms come back to his side. A flash shocked me, nearly causing a small cry to leave my mouth. I covered my mouth with my left hand and grabbed onto Wilbur's arm with my right.
"Please don't leave." I begged quietly. I looked back at Wilbur.
His eyes were a bit wide, looking at me. Then he relaxed, a tiny smile forming on his face. "Ok. Tommy,
I'm here. I always will be."

Tubbo's POV
"This can be your room. Technically it's Skeppy's, but I don't think he wants you in his sister's room." Harvey opened the door at the end of the hallway. It was a bit messy, some clothes thrown around the room. "Sorry it's messy, Skeppy was never the cleanest person ever."
"It's fine, Tommy wasn't either." I set my bag down next the door, not trying to mess anything up. Hopefully Skeppy wouldn't be upset that I was sleeping in his bed.
"If you need anything, Vurb and Finn are in that room and I'm in that one," Harvey pointed out a couple of the rooms. There were two other rooms, which I'm assuming one of them was Bad's room.
"Ok... thanks Harvey, and goodnight!" Harvey nodded, closing the door behind him. I was left alone in this unfamiliar room that I was going to call home for a couple days.
I sighed, reaching for my bag. I undid the zipper to my bag, grabbing my photo out first. I placed it on the bedside table, gently pushing some papers out of the way. As I did, a couple words on the papers caught my eye. I picked up the paper, sitting down on the creaky bed.
I blinked, trying to read the words aloud. "October 31st, dia- Zak's diary. Bad is mad at me. My it is... is it my fault?" I shook my head, placing the paper down. Reading, not really my strong suit. Maybe I can ask Harvey or Bad to read it tomorrow. I'm a better listener anyways.
My eyes turned toward the single window in the room. It looked out to the street, the gravel road empty yet filled with light. You could see lights coming from the lamp posts and houses that lined the gravel road.
There was a little ledge, couldn't have been longer than 3 inches, right below the window. I walked up to it, examining the photos that laid upon it. I recognized the smaller figure in all of them was Skeppy. He had the same messy, raven black hair as I had seen earlier today at the clinic.
There was an even shorter boy, one that looked like Harvey. He stood tall with a sword, holding it proudly in the air. Skeppy was following his lead, except it looked like he was about to drop the sword.
The last boy was much taller than them with a lighter complexion. He had dark, almost chocolate brown hair and he wore glasses. He didn't look like Vurb or Finn. He was next to Skeppy, wrapping his arms around his smaller body.
I giggled at the sight of them. A normal kid life, something I kind of had. Tommy acted like my brother, but he was really the only other kid around. Wilbur was way older than us and he mostly hung out with Phil.
I looked out the window again, noticing the stars sparkling in the sky. Not something you generally saw from the castle since the lights were always on.
Maybe it'll be okay.
I think I'll be okay.
