TW: Blood
George's POV
I closed my door behind me, trying to be quiet. It was late at night so this was probably a bad idea, but it was the only time me and Sam could meet in privacy.
Sapnap turned in early for tonight, saying his head was bothering him. He really hadn't been the same recently. No cocky jokes, no hilarious jokes, it was like all of his happiness was taken away from him. Understandable, of course, after what Dream did to us. But maybe Dream didn't do exactly what we thought he did.
Sam's room was just down the hall from mine. Most of the guards and knights lived in this hallway. I passed Tommy's, Fundy's, and Karl's rooms before arriving at Sam's.
I could see Sam's green hair poking out from his doorway already. He let me in, letting his door creak shut. I looked around his around. It was really nice, he seemed to have built some extra dressers and such.
"What are you asking about, again?" Sam didn't waste any time, not even for a hello. Pretty usual for a loner like him.
"You said that... Dream was separated from us. Why was he... I mean, why were we separated from him? Why were we called a threat?" I clarified at the end.
"From what I heard, Dream told Techno that sneaking out was his idea. So Techno took you guys away so you wouldn't be a threat to Dream's safety." Sam folded his arms, leaning against his back wall. I stood next to his bed, playing with the ends of his comforter.
"So Dream didn't throw us under the bus?"
"Not at all, if anything, he saved you two from a prison sentence." Sam looked at the ground, tapping his foot. "But, and try to follow me here, I don't think Techno was keeping you guys away because of Dream's safety." We both looked at each other at the same time.
I paused, trying to comprehend what he had just said. "Well, if you... if you are correct, what could Techno gain from separating us?" Sam sighed, running his covered hand through his emerald green hair. I could see dark brown roots as the hair was pulled back, but it was quickly covered up.
"I don't know. Techno has a way of manipulating people, that's all I know. Maybe he is trying to manipulate Dream, pull him in closer, and without you and Sapnap by his side, Dream would be defenseless to it." I winced. Techno was smart. Dream was as well, but sometimes his emotions blinded him. If he is so upset by me and Sapnap being taken away and... us being angry at him, then he could easily be manipulated by Techno.
"Can't we warn him? Dream, I mean. There has to be a way to warn Dream, even if it is just a possibility." I started pacing, a bad habit of mine.
"Not with Ranboo and Quackity constantly next to him. Those two were trained by Phil, they are the best of the best." Sam walked up to me, placing his hands on my shoulders. I looked up, still overwhelmed by his height. "The best thing for us to do is stay silent for now. I... I know where Tubbo went."
"You do?"
"I followed him. I thought he heard me since he jumped every time I moved in the bushes, but he never searched. He went to the house that Skeppy and everyone lives in. Tubbo told them about the poison, and a couple minutes later, they ran out. I headed back after that."
"What I'm saying is that they are going to come back. And as much as I'd love to get rid of Techno now, we need to wait till then." I looked into Sam's mask, trying to digest his thoughts.
"You're... you're suggesting we overthrow Techno?!" Sam covered my mouth quickly, hushing me. He gently let go of my face.
"With the rebel crew, yes. We would never be able to do it alone, but with Skeppy's crew, we would easily be able to." Sam let go of me fully, backing up a few feet. "If anyone should agree and be on board with this plan, it should be you. You, Sapnap, and Dream are the reason that this dictatorship grew so strong!" I looked down. Sam was right, if Dream had just won the fight against Techno, none of this would have happened.
"I-" A crash interrupted me. The noise had come from outside of Sam's room. We looked at each other. Sam eyed me before creeping towards the door. I watched his hand shakily grab the door handle and pull it open.
He stuck his head fully out of the door, looking from side to side. He turned back to me, gesturing me to come over. "Get out of here, we can talk another time." I nodded as he pushed me out of the door. I ran down the hallway, nearly skidding past my own doorway. I rushed into my room, closing my door swiftly.
I let out a breath. Hopefully no one saw me.

Quackity's POV
"King Techno," I walked into the throne room, dragging the green haired male behind me. "I heard this one plotting to rise up against the kingdom." Techno looked down at me and Sam.
"Let him speak." Techno sat up straighter, a sly smile on his face. I threw Sam forwards, taking the cloth out of his mouth.
Sam puffed, gasping for air. "I... I... I would nev... never, your majesty..." Blood ran down his head. His mask had been left behind, his face completely revealed. He actually had really nice brown eyes. What a shame that he had come to this.
"Oh Sam... hurt him for me, will you." Techno waved me on. Sam looked back at me in desperation. I kicked him down, smiling at the sound of his head hitting the ground. He whimpered and tried to crawl away, resulting in me kicking him in his ribs. He let out a shriek and his arms came up to protect himself.
"I did! I did! Please!" Sam cried out. I could see tears falling out of his eyes. I smiled proudly at Techno, who also looked pleased.
"Dispose of him. He is not want-" Techno stopped mid-sentence as the door behind me flew open behind me. I looked, seeing a distressed looking Dream. His hair was messed up and his cape was all torn up.
"What the hell are you doing!" Dream yelled at Techno. I watched Techno stand up as Dream ran up the stairs.
"He's a traitor. He was planning to get rid of us, kill the entire kingdom." Dream looked down at us. He seemed conflicted, which is shocking. Sam obviously wanted to kill both him and Techno, why should he care?
"Can't we... can't we just throw him in the cells? Maybe he has some vital information about Skeppy and crew." Techno glanced down at us. Then he looked at me.
"Was there anyone with him when he was plotting?" Techno asked me.
"I heard someone, but they got away before I could tell who it was." I really wanted to look away since Techno wasn't very pleased with that, but breaking eye contact was one way to get punished.
"We can use him to figure out who the other person is!" Dream suggested. Techno looked at him. Slowly, a smile appeared on his face.
"No..." Techno walked down the steps, getting closer and closer to me and Sam. Sam looked away, not even attempting to move. Techno grabbed his collar, dragging him off the ground.
"I think...
we'll make an example of him."
