Skeppy's POV

I snuck through the trees. It was around the time I had met Mega last night. He had promised he was coming back, so here I was, waiting. I would look like a real fool if he decided to tell everyone our plan. Why did I trust him, I barely knew him! He could've been another guard for all I knew!

As I walked through the forest, I heard sticks breaking underneath something's feet. I reached for my dagger, my last line of defense. I lost my sword last night, somehow, so now I got this stupid dagger. It's better than nothing, but who would chose a dagger as their main weapon?

I approached the noise. I heard it let out a breath. Human, not good. Most likely a guard, and of course, it was where I was supposed to meet Mega. Maybe Mega already got captured... this is perfect. I have the absolute greatest luck in the entire world!

I peeked out from behind a tree. Their back was turned, facing the wall. They were probably communicating with the guards on the wall. Might as well take this opportunity.

As the figure turned around, I grabbed their collar. I couldn't pick them up, they were taller than me, but I did manage to slam them against a tree. I let go and brought my blade up to their throat. I glanced down at my sash and pulled out a black cloth. I pulled it over their mouth, forcing them to be silent.

"Now, who are you?" I asked, looking them up and down. They tried to move away from my blade, but I pressed it closer to their throat. "Oh, you aren't going anywhere." They groaned, and kicked out his left leg, hitting me in the knee. My hands moved, allowing them enough room to move. They pushed my shoulders, knocking me to the ground. Then they kept their hands on my shoulders, holding me down.

"How the tables have turned. Now, I know both of us can't see well, but who are you? And where is Mega?" A male voice spoke. It was brighter, yet it sounded angered currently. I coughed, trying to regain some air. He had knocked me down pretty hard, and that whole breathing thing is pretty useful.

"Hey wh- Mega!" The male got off me and ran to another figure nearby. I blinked a few times, then they both came into view. It was Mega with the guy who had just knocked me to the ground. The guy was taller than Mega and had brown hair. Why would they be together?

"I found this guy- what? That's Skeppy?" I watched as Mega moved his fingers around. The guy glanced at me, then back at Mega. Mega nodded and walked over to me. He picked up my dagger from the ground and handed it back to me. I nodded and stood up, rubbing the back of my head.

"Who is this?" I asked Mega, looking over to the guy. He glared at me with his brown eyes.

"I'm Darryl, thank you very little. Mega said I was allowed to come with you guys, were you not aware?" He folded his arms, a small smirk on his face. I glared at him, not that he could see.

"I forgot. I'm Skeppy, but you seem to know it by now. Glad to know my new teammate likes shoving people to the ground as a hobby." Now I was smirking as his smirk turned into a scowl.

"You held a sword to my throat!" He yelled, taking a step closer to me.

"Uh, no, it was a dagger. Get it right." I took a step closer as well. We glared at each other, not even noticing Mega in front of us.

Darryl gasped when a cloth was thrown at his face. We both looked at Mega, who was glaring at both of us. Then he started doing the weird finger thing again.

"Fine." Darryl sighed and turned to me. "We need to get going. They found your sword this morning, so they already know you have been here. Lead the way, Skeppy." I rolled my eyes and tucked my dagger away. Without another word, I started walking towards the village. I could hear their footsteps behind me, which was a good enough reassurance that they were actually coming.
