Bad's POV

"Do you think they saw us?" I whispered. Skeppy threw his hand over my mouth, not even turning to look at me. I took a step back, grabbing his hand. "You could've just said shush!" I hissed at him.

"Well, I am so very sorry, Bad. I didn't want them to hear us!" He hissed back, shooting daggers into my face. I huffed and leaned against the brick wall. King Dream, George, and Sapnap had just walked past us and I simply wanted to know if we were safe or not. Not like Skeppy had to be rude about it.

Mega reached his hand out for me and I took it. Skeppy led ahead as we walked down the streets, getting farther from the house. I watched his black hair flop around with his stride. I had to admit, seeing him without his block head had definitely taken me for surprise. I didn't know what to expect him to look like under it, but I was not prepared to see his real face as soon as I woke up.

Mega seemed to be interested in everything around us, his head on a swivel. I smiled as I watched him. In the castle, he was bored and barely blinked at anything out of the ordinary. Out here, he had never seen half of this stuff and obviously liked it much more than the castle. It was like he was a newer, happier version of Mega.

"Ok, here we are. Wait here, I want to make sure he is home." Mega and I nodded as Skeppy walked up the front door. He pulled out a sword he had found earlier and kept it at his side. Then he knocked on the door.

The door creaked open and I could see someone's eyes. I watched as the door swung open, and out came a younger male, sword in hand. His sword was better than Skeppy's, less scratches and everything on it. Skeppy raised his sword and so did the other male, but both of them were smiling. I glanced at Mega, who also seemed confused.

Then, the younger male threw his sword to the side and Skeppy followed suit. Skeppy grabbed the younger male, pulling him into a hug. I smiled, watching them squeeze each harshly. That was obviously Harvey, for Skeppy didn't seem like the type to hug a stranger.

They pulled apart, smiles still plastered on their faces. They seemed to be talking, then Skeppy turned to look at us. He waved his hand, calling us over. I led, letting Mega hide behind me.

"Harvey," Skeppy said to the shorter male. "this is Darryl and Mega. You two, this is Harvey." I looked at Harvey, now getting a good look at him. He was a little shorter than Skeppy, almost the same height as Mega. He had a black hair and brown eyes, just like Skeppy's. He wore a dark green shirt with black shorts and his shoes were black as well.

"Nice to meet you two." Harvey stepped forwards, putting his hand out. I shook his hand, a small smile on my face. Mega looked at the hand and shook his head slightly. Harvey didn't even blink, he just took it back, a cheerful smile on his face.

"Nice to meet you as well. Skeppy said you might want to help us with our little... plan." I said, glancing at Skeppy. Harvey squinted his eyes and turned to look at Skeppy. Skeppy shrugged.

"Yea, we have a little idea, thought you might want to be apart of it." He said, not meeting Harvey's eyes.

"Well, come on in. We don't want anyone to hear us or anything." Harvey grabbed his sword and opened his door again, holding it open. Skeppy went through first and we followed.

---------------------------

"You really believe we can do this Z- I mean Skeppy." Harvey asked. We had been talking for a little while. It was a bit awkward for me and Mega, but this is probably how Skeppy felt when we talked to each other. Harvey and Skeppy obviously had a ton of history and knew each other very well.

"Of course! Come on, Harvs, you aren't one to back down from a challenge. We could help everyone!" Skeppy slammed his hand on the table a little. He winced and held his fist close to his chest, an embarrassed smile on his face.

"I don't know... I mean, I know we could do it with more people, but just the four of us? We would need more help." Harvey shook his head and leaned back in his chair. Skeppy frowned and stared at Harvey.

"Do we know where Finn and Vurb are?" Skeppy asked quietly. Mega and I glanced at each other, confused looks on our faces. I looked back at Harvey, who had now stood up.

"Last time I talked to them, Vurb was the near the west gate. But Finn never said, I forgot to ask him. If you had been here, maybe we would still be seeing them." Harvey muttered out the last part, but not quietly enough. Skeppy stood up, now having the high ground over Harvey.

"I said I was sorry, even before I left!" Skeppy half-yelled, his voice still low. "I had to get away... I had to get away from that area..." Harvey's face dropped as Skeppy's voice trembled. Mega stood up, concern in his eyes.

I looked at Skeppy. He was staring at Harvey, but he seemed so far away. It was like he was here, but he actually wasn't. His once strong body posture was weak, his shoulders falling forwards. I hadn't ever seen him this vulnerable, nor did I think he could be this vulnerable. He always seemed strong... maybe I didn't know him as well as I thought I did.

"Skeppy..." Harvey started, but that seemed to snap Skeppy out of his daydream. Skeppy looked at me and Mega, his eyes wide. Then he shook his head and took off in the other direction, heading towards the front door. "No! Skeppy, I'm sorry! Wait!" Harvey started running after Skeppy. Right before he got to the front door, Mega grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back.

"Hey, hey, calm down." I said while I came up to them. Harvey was trying to get free from Mega's hold as he stared out the door. "Maybe he needs some time alone, he seemed really upset." Harvey sighed and stopped fighting Mega. Mega let his hand come off.

"I shouldn't have said that. It's been two years since I saw him and I screwed up, again. I'm such an idiot." Harvey closed the front door and leaned against it, hands over his eyes. I frowned, watching him. Harvey seemed really nice, I don't understand why Skeppy got so upset.

"What even happened?" I asked. Harvey let his hands fall down onto his upper leg.

"I shouldn't be the one to tell you, but it's the reason he left. And I'm sure it's apart of the reason he wants to do this." Harvey smiled, shaking his head. "I'm going to help you guys. I barely know you two, but I'm sure we all have our reasons for wanting to help." We all nodded. Helping this kingdom's people was important. I was spoiled of not having to fear my life everyday, now it's my turn to help the people not fear their lives.

Mega shoved me and I looked down at him. 'Should we look for Skeppy?'

"I don't know, I probably shouldn't look for him since I upset him." Harvey responded, surprising both me and Mega. We looked over to him, bewildered looks in our eyes. "Yes I know sign language. I'm allowed to have hobbies." Harvey shrugged.

"Well, we haven't gotten along the best either. Mega, you want to go?" Mega nodded and turned back toward the kitchen. He opened some of the drawers. Harvey walked up to my side and we watched Mega go through the drawers. Then he pulled something out and came back towards us.

He held up the notepad and pencil as he passed us. Then he opened the door and walked out. Harvey and I glanced at each other.

"Do you like... chess?" Harvey asked, breaking our awkward silence. My eyes widened and I lot at Harvey excitedly.

"Yes!"
