"I'll keep you my dirty little secret"

My entire body stills as realization hits that the man who assisted in removing the cock ring I so pathetically put on my wrist is now standing right in front of me. Recognition immediately makes its way onto his face, and my mind reels with all the different scenarios this could play out.

He doesn't look so surprised to see me, only... intrigued.

I'm almost positive that his pupils aren't as blown out as mine. His face is the same even color whereas mine I bet is as red as an apple, and those lips on his mouth remain still, except for the small smirk that grows with each second that passes, while my lips are parted in both surprise and shock.

Maybe he doesn't remember me.

"You again." He speaks, his body a couple inches from mine and I take a tiny, not-so-noticeable step back to keep some distance between us.

Fuck

I don't have time to think of some lame response before Corey's voice breaks the awkward silence from behind Jaime, "You two know each other?"

I snap myself out of all my pessimistic thoughts, visually seeing that all eyes are on me now. I shouldn't assume that Jaime wouldn't tell everyone where he knows me from, I'm sure he has no idea that everyone in this room doesn't obtain the knowledge of whatever Mason and I are doing.

He's a stranger, one who came face to face with Mason's unwarranted jealousy from a simple kind gesture towards me.

All the unspoken words I could have in response to Corey's question completely obliterates in my mind within an instant. I could lie, dismiss any thought of Jaime and I ever seeing each other but then the man himself could counteract my dishonesty. Or, I could answer with the truth and be faced to answer the one dreaded question which will only result in a million more being thrown my way.

Seconds pass, Corey's facial expression growing confused over my hesitation only brings my nerves aflame even more. I can feel Jaime's eyes flick from Corey's to my own, the sight of him in my peripheral vision slowly nodding my head makes me wonder if he understands my delay.

"Small world, huh?" I hear him answer for me, and my tense muscles relax, gaze shifting towards him to zero in on the innocent smile plastered on his lips for Corey right in front of us.

The end of Corey's lips lift upwards, seeming pleased by the fact that his two friends already know of one another before walking out the kitchen, leaving Jaime and I alone once again.

I let out a relieved sign, watching as he shifts his body towards me, "Thank you."

His brows knit together for a split second before relaxing, "You don't need to thank me. I assume your boyfriend doesn't take kindly to people knowing his business."

My heart beats a little faster for about a second or two in hearing someone refer to Mason as my boyfriend but I simply move past it. I wish my heart could get on the same page as my head when it comes to the terms of what Mason and I are to each other.

Yes, Mason West is the man who clouds almost every single one of my thoughts, who can make the center of my thighs clench with so much as a faint smile appearing on those lips of his. Yes, he may be the one thing I look forward to seeing everyday, the one person who makes my insides feel on fire, and the one person who makes everything feel so right even when all else in my life is going wrong. Sure, he may brush my hair after sex, and offer to curl it just to make sure I'm ready on time, yes he holds me in his arms for longer than needed every time I'm about to leave him. He may always make sure to give me more than one kiss when saying goodbye, and yes he does enjoy marking my neck with hickies so everyone knows I'm his, but he is not my boyfriend.
