[Akara's POV]

When I woke up it felt like I was settling back into my body, as if I'd been somewhere else. I had a wild dream, whatever it was, because the minute I tried to fascinate over it the dream wavered, contorted and dissipated in what felt like a matter of seconds.

One blink of my eyes and the last remaining memory was of a strange different version of Akara and of Jacob. Slightly different coloured hair, a colder look in their eyes as they stared at me before fading fast into the back of my brain, or wherever dreams went when they were quickly forgotten.

I closed my eyes again. I was still drowsy and really comfortable.

It took me a half a minute to realise I was erect, hard enough to pound nails with. I didn't need to look down to know. I didn't usually get morning wood, probably something to do with my erratic sleeping pattern, but there it was.

Embarrassing.

Still I couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. I turned on my side, facing the warmth of the guy beside me, snuggling my face into his chest, his arm wrapping around my shoulder automatically.

So warm, so comfortable. I don't think I'd ever slept so well before.

I sighed, smiling, feeling happy for some reason.

That pressure from both sides was so comforting. The cologne I recognised, that I liked so much, I inhaled deeply and let my consciousness shift for a moment.

Since when was there someone sleeping beside me again?

My eyes flew open and I yelled out in shock, turning in surprise and accidentally shoving the form beside me off of the actual bed in my bewilderment. The sleeping figure on my other side waking up with a bleary look in his eyes as there was a yell and then through the low light of my room Atlas grunted in pain, his hand nursing his knee.

He glared up at me, a shard of light that had escaped through the gap in my vertical blinds reflecting off of them, showing the almond shape and the length of the otherwise lighter eyelashes.

"Fucking hell Akara, for a tiny little twerp you toss me around more than I do you." He groused.

Jacob started chuckling beside me.

I could only stare at them both with wide eyes, my mouth open slightly in shock as if I was preparing to say something despite failing to successfully say anything.

"W- Wah-"

Jacob didn't seemed fazed at all. Somehow. In fact instead of being similarly shocked that he had somehow been transported into his annoying classmates bed all of a sudden, he reached around and pressed the back of his hand against my forehead, it was slightly cooler than my face.

Through the slight darkness of the room I could see him nod. "No temperature. You're fine." His voice was low and gravelly in the morning. I liked it very fucking much. It was almost enough to distract me from the fact that the two of them had been sleeping in the same fucking bed as me!!

"Shit, we fell asleep." Atlas mumbled to himself, brushing off his trousers as he got up, stretching his back. "This is wacky, how did I..."

I stared at them. "What... What the fuck is happening?"

Was I still dreaming? I frowned, rubbing my eyes. It felt like real life had something extra real about it that was specific to real life only, and yet dreams did have a way of tricking you into thinking whatever happening could be real.
