"I- I-" I grabbed the hand that he had gripping my collar and tried unsuccessfully to pull it away. "Wait, you've got this wrong. It wasn't my fault!"

His glare was strong enough to burn holes in my skull. I reared my head back, expecting to get hit. "You made her think I was gay and she broke up with me and you don't think there's any correlation there?!"

I shook my head quickly, feeling pale.

"It was just a joke. It was a lie!"

He laughed heartily for a second before all trace of a smile left his face. "The only joke here is the fact that you thought I would believe that."

Holy shit, he doesn't believe me!

"You owe me Akara."

"I don't-"

"Let's see." He mused. "What can I think of that would repay this debt, hmm?"

I was beginning to feel queasy, I tried to make a run for it but his grip on my collar really hand me in one place and he simply pulled me back against the wall and the window, my legs buckling slightly so that he seemed to tower over my shrinking form.

"It's really not like that!" I tried to convince him.

"Don't waste words trying to convince me you made it up now, back tracking are we? Pathetic. You know exactly what you did, you just didn't expect anything to come of it but it did and now you've got to pay up." He hissed.

"I won't! I don't know her, I haven't spoken to her!"

"Lies, and bad ones at that."

I shook my head. "No!" I rubbed my face with my palm, stressing out. "God! I didn't even... Your girlfriend clearly left you because of something else, something not to do with me... Or if it was to do with me then maybe it was because you had my fucking boxers as my as my contact picture when she called me! But it wasn't anything I did!" I yelled.

He laughed, his gaze seemingly becoming a finer and sharper blade each time I looked at it. "So you haven't spoken to her but she called you?"

I swallowed my tongue. Bastard, why did I say that! I hadn't meant to say that. God, this was all going completely in the wrong direction!

I yelled out in frustration, my irritation echoing down the stair well before I relaxed in his grip. "Fine!" I yelled at him. "Do what you fucking want, believe what you want. I'll pay the price for your relationship ending because of you whatever, I don't care anymore!"

His mouth twitched into a smile, something even more dangerous than his scowl. He stared at me for a moment.

"So what should you do for me? How should you make it up to me?" He asked me.

I furrowed my brows. "How should I know? Just punch me and leave me alone, prick!"

He cackled. "Punishment should fit the crime..."

I groaned. "What are you going to try cockblocking me? Fat chance..." Well, at least he wouldn't be able to do it a second time but I wasn't going to dare to tell him about Angela. Not that he'd believe me anyway, I barely believed me most of the time.

He ran his fingers through his hair, grinning.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Thinking."

"Thinking what?" I needed to know what strange and unusual punishment he was planning, I needed to know if I was going to need to duck and run in the next four minutes or not.
