[A/N] I'm back again! Very sorry for the unexpected absence. I posted an explanation on my Patreon (it's not locked). Linked to this chapter.
I need to quickly explain something to my HJSB readers. I did actually finish this book before, which is why I was confident in the more consistent updates, but I had some issues and also dragged my feet on it, ultimately I decided to stick to the original storyline which just made more sense. This means I will have to continue this book in a separate book.
Wattpad only allows you to have 200 parts per book, so I was running out of space and tried to shorten it, I'll try not to make it another 200 chapters ( ̄ー ̄;!!
Apologies, and let's finally continue...
"You're joking..." Amir looked me over like I was mad. "You're straight sanctioning a murder... No wonder you look so peaceful right now..."
"They said they won't kill him." I insisted, my ears hot.
"They said that. Oh if they said that. Well then I'll believe them." He chuckled in disbelief and shook his head.
I rolled my eyes. "Shut it..." I muttered. "Talk about something else..."
"Oh yeah let's go back to how your laptop is malfunctioning and your screen is flickering, that's so much more interesting than the fact that a murder is about to happen."
I clicked my tongue. "This has something to do with his devices... they'll explain it when I ask."
"You seriously think those terrifying guys are going to gently deliver him a train ticket to a deserted corner of Greenland?" He nodded to himself with full certainty. "He's dead."
"They're not gonna kill him..." I scowled, speaking a little louder for emphasis, and the students at the two nearest lunch tables blinked over at us.
"Off..." I continued awkwardly. "...Because he's an important character... they don't die." I coughed awkwardly, the students looked away but passed a glance between each other like they were still paying attention.
"The scriptwriter would know better than to do that..." I muttered, looking at Amir who casually picked up the chips off of the table and started eating them.
He shook his head in mock sadness. "I hope he doesn't have a family. What were you thinking of bringing to the funeral?"
"I'm not going to his funeral!" I made a face. "And there won't be a funeral!"
"You're right," He nodded sadly. "No body, no funeral. Where do you think they'll bury him?"
"Amir for gods sake, would you shut it?" I muttered.
"I wouldn't be surprised if we start finding amputated body parts spread around town."
I scoffed. "They wouldn't do that, that's stupid."
"Oh I'm sorry I guess they'd be smarter about that."
I twisted my chip in circles in the peas. "Probably bury him in concrete or something smart..."
He nodded emphatically. "Yep, or put him in some other guys coffin and let them get cremated together..."
"Or like... vat of acid..."
"Woodchipper." He nodded decisively.
"Both." We spoke at the same time.
The conversation winded down from jokes to me discussing vaguely the fact that I was returning to my sets. Amir wasn't even in my year so it wasn't like I get the whole chaperoning experience with my buddy, but it was worth mentioning.
