Violet POV:
My mouth ran dry as I watched Midas' purple jewel slice across Dabi's stomach before my very eyes.
My pupils had dilated so much from the stress and shock of it all, that I wasn't even sure I saw the sight correctly, until the force of the jewel hit sent Dabi flying backwards off his feet.
My blood went ice cold as I heard the air leave his lungs with a groan before he went tumbling over the low rise balcony to the first floor. It's only a one floor drop. But, still.
Still. It was enough to scare the absolute life out of me. Because he got hit by Midas' deadliest crystal.
"Dabi!!!" I shrieked louder than I thought my vocal chords had been able to go, roughly shoving Akio's arms off me as I sprinted towards the balcony without a second thought.
"Violet, wait!!!" I heard Akio yell from behind me, screaming for me to stop as I ran straight into the thick of the bar fight to get to Dabi.
I threw caution and fear to the wind, bolting through the chaos of the battle that had broken out in the VIP lounge now, thanks to Dabi's outburst earlier. Yep, it was his fault!
So much adrenaline had been pumped into my veins upon seeing Dabi get hit, that I didn't even care about where Midas was probably hiding in the club now. I didn't care that there's a possibility I might get hit with a jewel, myself. I couldn't process my body ducking and dodging residual hits from quirks and tables as I carelessly put up gleaming crystal barriers to protect myself and make my way to the balcony.
And I'm showing off my quirk, when I'm not supposed to? Nice! Plan my funeral well, please.
Not taking in my surroundings well enough, I felt the air leave my body as a muscular pair of arms grabbed my waist from behind, squeezing my ribs harshly in a way to let me know I was in danger.
"You set me up, bitch?" The scarred man-who groped me, growled, causing me to wheeze with a lack of oxygen as he crushed my rib cage between his arms.
My eyes flew open in anger as he began dragging me back, causing the balcony to start retreating further out of my sight.
I need to get to Dabi. And no one is gonna stop me from doing so.
"Well, now you're dead." He followed up, one side of his face still burning to melted skin as he brought a knife to my throat.
Nope nope nope. Not today. I am soooo done.
Not in any mood to overthink things or be awkward, I grit down on my teeth harshly, forming a patch of sharp crystals over the point of my elbow before bringing it back into the side of the man's temple.
"Don't touch me!" I snarled out aggressively, not even recognizing the sound of my own, monstrous voice as I rammed my crystallized elbow back into his face again.
He groaned in pain from the hit, involuntarily loosening his grip on me, before he was roughly yanked backwards by Akio.
"Yep, gotta agree. That was a mistake on your part." He taunted to the scarred man roughly, incredibly unbothered by the fact that his opponent was at least twice his size.
But, as expected from the number twelve hero, Akio didn't even need to use his quirk as he simply showed off his better skill, twisting the man's arm behind him in one swift movement, effectively creating a loud snap of bone with a shriek of pain from his enemy to follow.
One flipping grappling move later, the man with the scar on his face was knocked out, face down and grounded with Akio's foot on his back, before the number twelve hero turned his gaze to me.
