Violet POV:

"Do not fail me again." Midas parted, leaving the four of us to figure things out in the lobby now.

Tsuyo balled their fists and inhaled deeply, hesitantly giving a nod of defeat before the jewel man harshly knocked his shoulder into theirs on the way out.

A smug smirk made its way onto Kaito's face at the encounter. It was clear to see dangerous thoughts had started brewing in the yellow eyed man's head at the new treatment Tsuyo was receiving. Treatment never before seen by anyone, I imagine.

Because it wasn't just Midas who's always been untouchable, but Tsuyo, too. Because Midas made them that way.

I guess...he can also undo this...if he so chooses.

Perhaps, today was his first step in doing so.

Dabi, Kaito, Tsuyo, and I were silent once left completely alone, with Tsuyo's tired sigh being the thing to break the tension.

"Do you believe me now...." They said to me, continuing to look at the door Midas left through. "...when I say you don't know him like you think?"

I lowered my head to the floor in defeat, knowing there wasn't anything I could say to dispute that after what I just saw.

The man is dangerous. He's more unpredictable and cunning than I gave him credit for. And while it's hard to believe sometimes when he's never shown me this side of himself....I did see it today.

Taking my silence as agreement, Tsuyo sighed deflatedly and moved on, looking to their watch now.

"Five minutes until the next hour strikes." They muttered, rubbing their masked face with their hands. "And this one still hasn't even changed out of her pajamas."

The culprit of Tsuyo's blame couldn't be anyone else as the room looked to me and my crusty clothes, causing me to wrap my arms around myself with sheepish apology.

"Right-sorry. Let me throw on something new." I mumbled quietly, turning on my heel to leave.

Before Kaito's passing words perked my attention.

"Maybe I should change, too." He teased, taking a mischievous lip between his teeth. "Caught a glimpse of that Todoroki sister bitch at the party the other night. Mmm. Wouldn't mind taking her for a ride before handing her over to the boss man."

Anger instantly welled up inside me at the disgusting words, turning on my heel to defend Fuyumi.

I was surprised when someone else spoke first. Someone I wasn't expecting.

"Remind me the part where I asked you to fucking speak." Dabi stated lowly, blue eyes sweltering with irritation as he looked to Kaito. "Don't forget you're still number five on my kill list. Number four after that."

The yellow eyed man snickered at the threat, tilting his head at Dabi with smug curiosity.

"Oh? Don't tell me you've grown self-righteous now, you fucking barbecue. If anything, it's your fault that I haven't gotten any for so long. You killed my woman. It's only fair I take...another in return." He purred tauntingly, giving his disgusting lips a conniving lick.

"You're disgusting." I seethed out, causing him to grin at the rise he was getting from everyone.

"Maybe. But, it would only be karma, right?" Kaito smirked. "I used to think the real fun would be killing you. But, where would that get me? You'd be dead. You took someone from me, maybe the only way to really make it even...is to take someone from you."
