A/N: trigger warning this chapter for sexual assault, grooming, abuse, and forced drug use. It's the first time I've really gone into detail about these topics. I've written about them before, but never like THIS. Everything is still kept as vague as possible, no body parts are mentioned, and there's no detailed actions of sexual abuse happening. But, it's part of Akio's story and how he became who he is, so I do touch on the topic for a few paragraphs. Just be aware and take care of yourselves <3

Akio POV: - eighteen years ago continued -

The darkness gradually began to subside, leaving my vision dizzy and disoriented before opening my eyes.

Just like before I fell asleep, I was still in the dark. Only, I could tell I was no longer in the park maintenance room anymore. For starters, there was air conditioning in here. The air was crisper and the smell was cleaner, and now, I was in a metal chair.

Groggily, I tried to lift my hand to wipe the sleep out of my eyes, feeling a tug on my wrists that prevented me from moving. Instantly, I snapped awake now, looking down at my arms and seeing they were tied to the metal chair-my legs were strapped to the chair as well, my head and ankle still throbbing in pain as the intruder clearly hadn't given me any medical attention yet.

"Ahh!! W-What? What's going on?" I exclaimed, looking around the pitch black space wildly for anything that could tell me where I was.

But, all I saw was black-hearing a voice accompany the dark silence a few moments later.

"Darling! Oh, you're finally awake. I've been waiting so patiently for you. How are you feeling?" The voice said, with me instantly recognizing it as the intruder.

I can't see him, but he can clearly see me. Where is he? But, more importantly....

"Where am I?" I asked, pulling on the restraints and testing them to see if I could escape.

But, it seems he read my mind and my intentions, instantly coming out of the shadows and looming over me. His golden eyes were sinister and his white, blonde hair was styled nicely, kneeling down to my sitting level with a warm, misleading smile.

"Home, my boy. You are finally home. Well, you're new home anyways. As you can see, the mansion is still quite a work in progress. But, I was hoping we could build it up together. It's a good way to bond and all-" He rambled freely before I quickly cut him off.

"Why am I here? What do you want with me?"

He hummed my question away and placed both of his hands atop my legs much too casually, causing me to recoil and my muscles to tense under his touch. He noticed my discomfort, but didn't pull away, gently rubbing up and down my thighs.

"Come on now, Akio. We have plenty of time to answer all of your cute, little questions. Wouldn't you rather I give you a tour first? Or eat something? Perhaps, a nice shower-"

"Tell me."

His charming smile cracked slightly at my stubbornness, seeming thoroughly annoyed with my consistent will to fight him on everything. Good, I refused to make things easy on him, not like he made any of this easy on me.

Giving my legs one more squeeze, he slowly let his hands fall off my body, rising to his feet and pacing the dark, small room, "Simple. I needed a child with a light quirk, and the quirk census of Japan led me to you."
