---Jeongin said nothing as he threw his arms around Chan
"I thought you had to be home?" Chan said softly as he held the boy in his arms.
"I don't want to be there channie" He cried out "I want to be with you.."
Jeongin was shaken up from his parents reaction. He'd never been yelled at like that before. He was also scared. He couldn't bare to face them after being yelled at like that.
"Jeongin what did your parents say?"
Jeongin shook his head and hid his face in chans chest. He didn't want to talk about it. Chan understood and didn't push it.
"Come on, you're probably tired.. " Chan picked jeongin up and the younger wrapped his legs around Chan as he tried to calm down. In that moment it felt nice to be held by someone. To be cared for in a way that was possibly more than a friendly way. Jeongin was beginning like this feeling. The feeling of chans company.
The blonde carried the boy to his room and laid him down on the bed. The second Chan tried to pull away to lay down in the living room when jeongin whined in protest and tightened his grip.
"No channie.. Don't let me go yet please" Jeongin whispered in a wobbly voice.
Tell jeongin he's overreacting to getting yelled at by his parents.. Sure. but there was a possibility that this wasn't just about getting yelled at.
Growing up, jeongin was expected to be perfect. He had to use perfect manners and use respect with everyone. He was expected to show everyone this side of him that was a pristine version of jeongin. He was expected to act as an adult. One who never faulted one who never bullied one who always smiled and one who never broke down. His parents treated him like a robot that was supposed to do and say what ever they told him. It just never really occured to jeongin how much he hated it because he'd never experienced anything beyond that. He'd never had any experiences outside the church. And the moment he did, that's when he began to realize how much he was really missing out on. How much he didn't get to experience growing up. That's when he realised how much of his childhood he actually missed out on and how much of his teenage years he'd never get back.
So like anyone of us, he was upset. He wasnt ready to grow up yet.
Chan froze for a second and carefully laid down beside the upset boy, pulling him close. Gently, he pulled the blankets over them as jeongin pulled Chan closer to hid his face in chans neck. Every now and again sniffles came from jeongin as Chan rubbed his back gently.
Chan wanted to kiss every inch of the boys face and tell him it was okay but he refrained for fear jeongin would think he was taking advantage of him.
Slowly jeongin began falling asleep in chans arms.
However, Chan was fully awake.
He lay awake thinking about jeongin. Basking in the way jeongin felt in his arms. It felt amazing. It felt right. Chan began wishing that he could have this all the time.. Just to be with the boy and hold him.
Chan over thought himself to sleep as he did many nights. Except this night was warmer. Because jeongin was here in his arms. It wasnt just physically warmer but mentally and emotionally warmer.
For both of them.
Jeongin woke up the next morning feeling like he'd just had the best sleep of his life. The sun light shine through the window since Chan didn't close the curtains that night.
It took jeongin a moment to realize where he was but remembered the second he felt chans arms still around him.
He didn't let me go the whole night
Somehow that made jeongins heart swell in his chest. Jeongin pulled back to look up at Chan. His sleeping figure was so beautiful. Jeongin noticed the way his eyelashes rested on his cheeks, the way his nose ring sparkled in the sun, the way the beams of light from the window were cast across his beautifully tanned skin. The way that his plun lips were ever so slightly parted as he breathed and the way his hair was messily thrown about on top of his head.
He was beautiful and jeongin couldn't help but stare.
Jeongin hesitated slightly before reaching his hand up and fixing chans soft hair. He fixed his part so that it was on the side like it normally was and brushed his hair away from his forehead.
Chan woke up to this. The feeling of jeongin running his small hands through his hair and fixing it. It sent shivers down his spine and raised goosebumps on his skin. Jeongin laid partly on top of Chan with his chest as he did so.
Once jeongin deemed Chan hair perfect he pulled back to look at the sleeping boy again.
They met eyes.
Chan brown eyes sparkling ever so slightly in the morning sun.
Jeongins sparkling with wonder and happiness.
And they just stared at each other.
Drinking in every detail of each other's faces. Trying to remember this moment forever.
Waking up beside each other. In each other's arms.
Jeongin slowly broke into a shy smile as he looked at the older.
"Hi.. " He whispered softly
Chan smiled a bit and ran his fingertips up jeongins arm and to his cheek.
"Hi.. " Chan whispered back
"You didn't let me go all night" Jeongin blushed at the big hand on his cheek.
"Of course I didn't... "
They were silent for a moment as they looked at each other again this time with happy smiles.
"You're pretty when you sleep, hyung.. " If there had been any other noise in the house Chan wouldn't have heard jeongin say that sentence.
A smile painted it's way across his lips and he ran his hand back down jeongins arm and linked their fingers together.
"You're always pretty" Jeongin continued in a mere whisper.
"But look at you" Chan said softly
"M-me?"
Chan hummed and cupped jeongins face in his hands. Jeongins heart immediately sped up as he placed his hands over chans.
"Yes you... "
Jeongin shook his head and Chan pouted.
"Look how beautiful you are~" He said again as jeongin giggled and shook his head.
"Yes you're so pretty In-ah.. "
If anyone else would have called him pretty jeongin wouldn't believe it. Even when jisung called him pretty he denied it until jisung gave up. But somehow Chan made him feel pretty when he said it.
Jeongin broke into a blushy smile as he looked at Chan.
"Stooop.." He muttered shyly
"Why should I?" Chan asked as he began tickling jeongin
Jeongin interrupted into a fit of giggles as he tried to roll away from Chan only resulting in Chan climb in on top of him and pinning his hands down with one hand and tickling him with the other. Chan didn't miss a spot tickling jeongins armpits and sides making him shake with laughter and try to scramble out of chans grasp.
Chan gave the boy a break after a few minutes of tickling. He loosed his grip on jeongins wrists only for him to bring them down and be pinned by the sides of his head by Chan.
They stared at each other for the second time that day. They both had smiles on their faces as they looked at each other.
"Should we make breakfast?" Chan asked softly
Jeongin gasped and nodded excitedly.
"Can we make waffles? With whipped cream?! I've never had whipped cream!"
