For the most part, the restaurant was empty besides a few tables. Both boys sat across from each other while they waited for their juice. Jeongin got apple juice while Chan got orange.

It seemed like the waitresses couldn't pour a glass of juice fast enough so Chan took out his phone to check the time.

3:49 pm.

"What time do you have to be home?" Jeongin asked the blonde.

"When ever I want to really. Just as long as it's before midnight." He leaned back in the booth and sighed.

"Midnight?! That's so late!" Jeongin just couldn't fathom the fact that chans parents let him stay out that late when his own curfew was so early.

"What about you?"

"Eight. Sharp even if I'm a minute late, I'll be in huge trouble"

"I'm guessing you were late once?"

"Well kind of. My friend jisung and I went skating together and we lost track of time so we booked it back to my house as quickly as we could but I showed up at 8:01 and my parents totally freaked out and told me I was being a terrible person and I was being a rule breaker."

Chan scoffed at that "No offense but your parents sound horrible"

This was met with an eye roll from the younger.

"My parents are great parents" The brunette argued back

"That might be so but you haven't lived yet. You haven't been able to be a kid"

The waitress came up to their table with the glasses full of juice and set them down between them.

"Thank you so much" The blonde admired jeongin as he thanked the waitress for doing her job finally. His eyes glimmered as he smiled at her. His braced teeth shining almost as bright as his eyes.

"But what do you mean?" The younger finally asked after taking a small sip from his apple juice. Chan snapped his attention back to the conversation and smiled a bit before speaking.

"You haven't experienced anything. You live in a shell and you're shielded from all the fun you could be having"

"Fun is not about parties and alcohol and drugs" Jeongin said with a grumble.

"For one, drugs are a no no for me anyways. I'm not into all that but that's not all the fun. You only hear the bad things about parties. You don't have to drink or do anything stupid but you make fun out of being with your friends and just living."

Jeongin stirred his drink while stuck in thought.

"You've probably experienced a lot, huh?" When the boy looked up at the blonde he almost looked sad.

"What?"

"You probably just love being able to do what you want and run wherever you want. You probably enjoy being able to dye your hair and cut it the way you want and dress the way you want to"

The latter was a bit taken by surprise at jeongins words, not thinking he felt this way.

"You don't have to live that way... I could help you experience things if you want to" The older offered.

"Absolutely not. I love the way I live so stop trying to change my mind"

Change scoffed at that "come on! It will be fun and I won't make you do anything you don't want to do"

Jeongin sighed. It was tempting. Of course he'd wondered what life beyond the church was like. Of course he'd wanted to break out of his shell and explore things but he was scared. Scared of the consequences and the sins he'd commit. Jeongins father always told him that if he lived like he was supposed to, then he wouldn't have to worry about making it to heaven but he had a feeling if he gave in and said yes to this he'd had a lot more to ask forgiveness for.

The brunette shook his head "no." He said sternly.

"So you don't want to experience life beyond church?"

"I just-" Jeongin looked down almost defeatedly and sighed.

"You just what?" Chan asked leaning down a bit to see jeongins face. It was an unreadable expression that the boy in front of him wore.

Jeongin shook his head "it wouldn't matter.. It's stupid"

The brunette reached for his phone sitting beside him but Chan put his hand over his preventing him from picking it up. Their eyes met. Somehow it was like it was hard to look away for the both of them. So for a moment they didn't.

"You just what?" Chan asked again leaving no room for discussion. Jeongin broke eye contact by rolling his eyes for the millionth time.

"I just don't want to get in trouble!" Jeongin sighed out and slumped back in his seat.

"Do I get in trouble for the things I do?" The older male asked calmly.

The younger was silent for a few moments while he thought. If anything, jeongin was naive. He knew so little about life beyond religious beliefs. He knew nothing of sex, love, true happiness and knew no real experiences of the real world. He was sheltered. A little boy just waiting to be broken from his innocent ways and finally live.

This was the moment that jeongin asked himself a simple question

Do I want to know what he is going to teach me?

The honest answer was yes. He did want to know about sex, love, true happiness and have experiences of the real world. But was it really worth the trouble to have those experiences? Was it really worth throwing away everything he had in order to know these things.

Of course him and his friends had talked of such things but none of them knew how it truly worked. They'd had crushes, feelings and doubts. But what are all of those things if you don't really understand them?

"Okay" Was all jeongin said before he looked up at Chan.
