On the walk back home it was safe to say that jeongin never stopped crying.
Though he was sick of it, he just couldn't get chans last words out of his head. It was like they were engraved in his skull and pounding for him to acknowledge it.
It was quite a relief when he finally saw his house just a couple blocks away. All it took was the last little effort to get there but somehow that effort seemed so hard.
All he could think about was how torn he was, contradicting himself in every way; thinking one way but saying another. This wasn't jeongin. This wasn't how he normally would act. So why was he? Out of spite? Out of hate for the situation? One thing he knew was that it wasn't out of hate for chan no matter how much he might think he did.
The house got closer with every step he took and slight relief washed over him the second he stepped foot in that door. The warm yet disgusting scent of the apple cinnamon air freshener coming into his nostrils, giving him a gross welcoming home.
Kicking off his shoes he turned to go to the kitchen and moved to get a glass of water, oblivious of his parents sitting right there hearing every verbal cry that came from him.
His parents looked at each other for a moment before his mother got up and went to her crying son at the sink as he tried to down a glass of water but choking on it because of his crying.
"Jeongin," She put her hands on either side of her sons shoulders and hugged him a bit "why are you upset?"
They had barely spoken a word since jeongins out burst. The way he had yelled at them, they hadn't really felt the need to talk to him either until he apologized as well. As childish as it was, the Yangs were probably the most childish family out there.
All jeongin could do was cry, feeling so heartbroken at everything; just wanting the pain to stop.
"Baby, you have to talk to me, come on. Let's go sit down."
Jeongin was crying so hard that his body rocked in his mother's arms and with every movement it seemed as if his body shattered that much more.
A chair met his bottom and both of his parents looked at him in worry. Not that the boy could even see due to the amount of all his pain.
"What happened, angel?" His mom wiped tears from his cheeks and would kiss his head softly every now and again. All this reminded him of was Chan and the way he used to do it.
It took the boy ten minutes to be able to talk properly after failing several times. His voice was scratchy and hoarse from everything and it was painful to talk but truly he just wanted everyone to leave him alone.
"Ch-chan and I aren't s-seeing each other anymore.."
A small smile of victory was hidden behind jeongins back as his mom his there. However, his father was genuinely concerned for his son.
"Why? Did something happen?"
"You-ll be mad i-if I t-tell you, dad.."
His dad looked over at the woman hugging his son and sighed.
"Will you let us talk for a minute?" He knew that if his son thought he would be mad, Lord knows what his mom would do.
Through out the weeks of not talking, his father had done some reevaluation of himself. He had one hundred percent gotten mad when jeongin had told him he was seeing another boy but through a lot of prayer god had given him the answer. If his son was willing to fight hard enough to keep someone he loved, who was he to take that away? Who was he to stop something that gave his son happiness?
The woman gave her husband an annoyed look before letting jeongin go and moved out of the room. Her short black hair swayed with her every step.
Slowly, the man moved over to his son and looked at him.
"She's gone.. I won't be mad jeongin. I've been thinking about you a lot ever since you stopped talking to us and I've changed for the better."
Wrapping a tight arm around him, he pulled the young boy closer.
For some reason this made jeongin cry harder once again, feeling so grateful that his father might finally be supporting him after all these years of hiding himself away.
"You promise me you won't be mad?" Jeongin looked over at his dad with teary eyes and a sad lip quiver.
"Promise," His dad held out his pinky.
The locked pinkies and kissed their thumbs, stamping the promise closed. Just like the way he had taught chan to pinky promise.
"We had sex.. Chan and I" He paused, waiting for the yelling that never came.
All that he felt was his father pull him arm a slight bit tighter but immediately let go.
"But it turns out, I was just a bet that he made with his friend.. It was sad and surprising because I really thought he loved me because it wasn't like rushed or anything. He took his time with me and always made sure I was okay and I was comfortable.. But why did it have to be fake, dad?" He hugged his dad back and held him closely.
"Why did he have to fake that? A-and seungmin-"
"We already know about seungmin, son. The police station called and we know what happened. We can talk about that later with your mom."
Jeongin just silently nodded to that, embarrassed at the fact that his dad knew about everything and how seungmin touched him.
"But chan was there... He rushed in with jisung and his boyfriend and protected me from seungmin so why does he do these things if it's fake?" He began crying again and his dad hugged him that much tighter.
"He was there after I woke up too, crying when he saw me... Also today when I went o-over there he cried while we were talking and we said some really hateful things to each other like we despised the other... Why was it all fake..? Why does it all still seem so real when really it was fake?"
His dad paused for a moment thinking.
"I don't think it is fake, jeongin."
That little spark of hope flared inside of jeongin.
"If he was done, he wouldn't cry over you and if you were done you wouldn't cry over him. He would just be done and that would be that. The way you keep coming back to each other tells me that nothing was fake.. It might have been in the beginning but I don't think it is now.."
It was safe to say that when jeongin and his father left that room, the boy had some hope for his relationship. He had some hope for the future. Of course he wasn't going to rush back into things, and would still need time but there was still some hope in talking to chan soon.

I have good news and bad news.. Starting with the bad news first.
This book is going to end soon, probably within the next ten-ish chapters.
The good news is, the ending is going to have lots of drama and a lot of angry chan. What I have planned is so wild and I hope you enjoy!! :D
