"Mr. Bang, you have a visitor." The officer on stand by that night began unlocking his cell.

He stood and turned so the man could put his cuffs on.

"Who is it?" He asked, his voice hoarse from not talking for the past few days.

"Don't know. He came at the last minute though. Visiting is over in an hour."

Chan just hummed as he began getting led down the plain white corridor. Their footsteps echoing as they moved down the hall. The blonde was led into a bright room filled with cubicles with glass panels separating the two rooms.

"He's in slot seven, come on now." They continued walking.

The guard pulled put the chair that he was supposed to sit in and began unlocking his cuffs.

"Your conversation will be monitored and recorded by camera and by voice. If you try anything we will know. Your visiting is only scheduled for a half an hour so don't screw around. He should be here any minute."

The officer stepped back and over to the door where another stood and began soft conversation that was only comprehensible by reading their lips.

Chan looked around and down to the desk in front of him. He wondered if it was Minho who came or Changbin so scold him for being stupid.

In the peripherals of his vision he saw someone move into the glass window and looked up.

It was jeongin.

Somehow by looking at each other through the window, they seemed so close yet so far. It was like the few inches of glass was really a few miles, separating them from each other more.

Jeongin let out a small laugh as he teared up and sniffled though Chan couldn't hear it.

Slowly he reached over and grabbed the phone along with the older.

"Don't cry..." The blonde said softly over the black phone.

Jeongins small sniffles could be heard as he tried to keep his cries silent.

"Jeongin, please don't cry.." He said again, hoping that he would understand.

"But h-how can I not when you hate me?"

"I don't hate you, baby. I could never hate you."

"But you said it.."

"You said it too, but you're here, right?" The older tried to sooth, wanting so desperately to make him feel okay again.

"I don't hate you.. I couldn't ever hate you, hyung. No matter if you hurt me or didn't.."

"You should hate me, though.."

Jeongin looked up at the boy he longed to touch and feel.

"Why?" He asked so brokenly that it hurt.

"Because I hurt you. I keep hurting you. Why should you have to come back to that?" Shaking his head, he looked away from him.

"Because I want you..?" It came out weakly, like it was almost a question as to whether Chan wanted him as well.

"I keep fucking up, jeongin. I'm in jail for God's sake! Why do you still want me?" He didn't truly believe that after everything he put jeongin through that he could possibly still want to be with him still.

"Do you want me, Chan? Do you even still want me around because if not just say it! Tell me you're sick of me. Tell me I'm a bet because I lost you once. I lost you once already and I think I could do it again..."

They hadn't even been talking for ten minutes and they were already fighting.

"Can you just picture your life for me, Chan. Think about what your life will be like a few years in the future. Am I even there? Am I even a part of that?!"

"You're not a bet, jeongin. I just don't want to keep hurting you if we do decide to try and make it work.."

"If I was afraid of getting hurt I wouldn't be here trying to make things right, hyung. I want you... But now I'm not so sure if you want me..."

"Jeongin, i-i," He paused for a moment, collecting his words so he could say them in the right way. Those few moments were hell to jeongin as he thought that he was about to get told that this won't work, that this is it. He wasn't good enough for what he wanted.

"It wasn't love at first sight. I didn't like you at all in the beginning but slowly that changed.. I thought that I was just being stupid and i-i was confused. I can honestly and truly say that I do love you and I want you. I want to be with you and I want to love you for as long as this world will let me.."

It was a relief for both of them. A relief for everything they'd felt in the weeks they'd been apart.

"Then can we just-" Jeongins lips started quivering "stop fighting, please? Can we just be together already?"

Chan let out a small laugh as he nodded, eyes filling with shiny relieved tears.

"Easier said than done right? There's still a couple of inches of glass separating us."

Jeongin laughed a bit before wiping at his tear stained cheeks.

"I'm going to ask my parents to bail you out, hyung."

Chan froze, hands shaking a bit as he processed what jeongin was saying.

"N-no jeongin. Don't try and bail me out. Changbin-hyung will figure it out, he always does.. Don't let your parents waste their money on me."

"It's not a waste, chan.. My dad is already trying to talk my mom into it because he wants to thank you for what you did.."

This was met by a puzzled look. "What did I do that needs thanking?"

"You beat the shit out of seungmin," Jeongin laughed a bit as chan looked at the smile he missed so much "he said that he was going to do it but you beat him to it. He also told me to give you more credit because you really hurt him.."

Chan laughed softly and shook his head. "I couldn't stand the way he was talking about you.. I do feel bad for Minho and changbin-hyung.. They have to deal with all of my shit now."

"I'm sure they'll be fine, hyung."

There was a few moments of shared silence between them as they took in the presence of the other, finally realizing that the worst of their fight was over and that as soon as they could, they'd be back in their arms. They both wished in that moment that the glass wasn't there but Lord knows if it wasn't, they'd be all over each other.

"So what now?" Chan asked jeongin softly.

"We wait," He said with a tint of sadness coating his voice "we wait for when you get out..."

Somehow, it all felt like it would take years to bail Chan out for both of them.
