"Nocturne in E flat major" Jeongin said with a proud smile.

He turned back to the keys and placed his hands there again. Chan and changbin shared a look of confusion before turning back to the boy gushing over the song he was about to play.

The song started out slow and soft almost seeming melancholic as the first notes played out. Jeongins fingers flowed effortlessly with the trill like beat after the first few seconds.

It was beautiful and said everything but nothing at the same time.

The emotions jeongins felt as he played the piece flowed through him and into the keys, flowing out into the other boys ears and giving them goosebumps.

The fast and slow parts of the song and the louds and softs all added to the same effect.

He put everything he had into the song, feeling every emotion as it flowed through his veins like blood.

What do you want your audience to feel?

What emotions do you want to portray?

Jeongin repeated his piano instructors words in his head. The emotion part had always been the hardest for jeongin.

But at that moment, it was there.

Anger.

Hostility.

Sadness.

Loneliness.

By the end of the songs, jeongin was in tears.

It happened sometimes when he got too invested in the music. It happened to all good musicians. If a song moved you to tears, that mean you did a good job.

The last bit of the song played out and jeongin sniffled, cutting the echoes short and wiped his tears.

He got up and smiled at both boys and pushed the stool in

"Wait, why are you crying?" Chan asked quickly walking up to jeongin and embracing him.

"It happens sometimes... " He said with a small shrug "I'm okay I promise"

Nonetheless he accepted the warm hug from Chan.

(A/N: not jeongin living the life we all wish we could in chans arms 💀)

After the two older boys finished their coffee, they made the short ride to chans house.

Walking in the door, jeongin gasped at the amount of snacks on the couch. There was anything from skittles to funyuns.

"Chan there's one many I'm not going to be able to eat all these!" Jeongin took off his shoes and climbed on the couch where he hopped excitedly.

"You want to do it now or we can wait until a little later to-"

"Now! Now!" Jeongin stood and began jumping on the couch.

Chan giggled and sat down on the couch pulling jeongin down with him. They landed face to face with jeongins hands on chans chest. The same position they were in a few days before.

All they did was look at each other. Taking in each and every detail of each other's face.

In that moment jeongin wanted to do something he never thought he'd ever want to do. He wanted to kiss Chan. He wanted to press his lips against chans soft looking ones.

But he refrained.

The only thing that changed his mind was when Chan began to lean in.

Is this really going to happen?

Jeongin thought as the inches began to close between them.

This is my test Chan thought. If he let's me get close enough to kiss him that means he really wants this if he doesn't then I know

A half an inch was now the only thing separating their lips. One small movement could make them kiss. Ever so slightly, jeongin pulled chans shirt in an attempt to get him to kiss him. Chan curved the sudden movement and kissed jeongins cheek while standing up and setting the small boy in the couch by the snacks.

"Pick your weapon!" He suddenly yelled, diving for a bag  of Cheetos.

Jeongin was confused at first before jeongin dove for a bag of chips and ripped it open. It turned out to be a bag of Takis.

He took one out and stood up in a fighting stance with his chip up like a sword. Chan turned and held up a cheeto and began counting down.

"3... 2...1... Fight!"

And so the two weirdos began sword fight with chips.

Jeongin turned and smashed chans chip with his in an attempt to break it but resulted in breaking his own.

"Hey! You broke my chip!" He yelled and ate the small piece that was left.

He quickly grabbed another from the bag and turned in time to stop chans sneak attack with a scream partly out of surprise and at the taste of the chip

"Oh my- these are spicy!"

"Of course they are! That's why they're on fire on the bag!" Chan yelled as he broke jeongins other chip.

"Wait wait! These are too hot I need a drink"

Chan sat down on the couch with a big smile as he watched jeongin pick out which drink he wanted. He decided on a Shasta tiki punch and opened the 2 liter bottle.

He very gingerly took a sip and his eyes went wide in surprise.

"This ones yummy! I like it better than the coke"

He took a few more sips and went to sit by Chan. The blond had opened a bag of Reece's peanut butter cups and was eating them.

Jeongin stole one out of the bag and placed it in his mouth and began chewing. After a few moments he made a grossed out face.

"Ew.. Those aren't good. I don't like them at all"

Chan looked at the younger with a scoff

"More for me I guess" He said with a shrug.

Jeongin smiled and looked through the bags of junk food and settled on a pack skittles. He thought back to changbins house and how Chan had to go there for something about smoking and got curious.

"Hyung... Why do you smoke?"

The question kind of threw Chan for a loop. Was there really a reason besides to feed his terrible addiction?

"I'm addicted... " He said shamefully

"Why don't you quit?"

"It's not that easy... Besides" Chan continued "you have to want to quit to actually do it.."

Jeongin looked at Chan confused while eating a green skittle

"You don't want to quit?"

Chan shook his head.

It was quiet for a few moments before jeongin smiled a bit.

"It's okay channie.. You don't have to quit if you don't want to" Jeongin said scooting closer to Chan and leaning his head on his shoulder.

"You'd be okay with that?"

"Of course I would! You're a good person, hyung. I don't expect you to change for me"

Somehow, that comment made Chan feel sick...

He really was a horrible person and jeongin had no idea.
