The robin egg blue door taunted him, almost begged him to knock on it.
Beyond that door was someone who he had longed for and missed for about the length of a week.
All he had to do was knock and he'd see him.
But that scared him.
Seeing chan after everything that had happened.
He missed him so fucking bad though. To the point where he'd almost come here in the middle of the night to see him but stopped himself, remembering how much it had hurt.
You see, the reason that jeongin was standing here now was because he'd come up with an excuse to see chan. The week he hadn't seen him had both been great for his healing but horrible for his loneliness because hed packed all of chans things in to a box and brought it to him.
The box of clothes in his arms were heavy and making his tiny arms shake.
He set the box down and prepared to knock on the door when it opened and a boy appeared in the entrance.
What shocked jeongin was this wasn't chan.
"It took you twenty minutes to get the balls to knock on the door?"
Minho chuckled and looked jeongin over to make sure he was okay.
"I-is chan home?" The younger asked completely avoiding the question.
"He is," Minho paused for a moment "are you here to hear him out?"
Jeongin opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a familiar voice that made his heart immediately stop.
"Minho what are you-"
They both froze, seeing the person they so wanted to run to but couldn't.
"Jeongin-"
"Your clothes. I brought your clothes!" He pointed down at the box by his feet as he freaked out internally.
Minho smiled at the two who obviously still liked each other and walked behind chan, pushing him out the door and the click to the lock ringing in both of their ears.
It was a w k w a r d...
All they did was look at each other for a few moments before chan spoke up. They both felt like the week they were apart was years.
"W-why did you bring my stuff back?" The heart break slowly began setting in and he realized that this could truly be over for them now.
"I don't have any use for it anymore... I-i can't stand to look at them anymore because it hurts.."
"So that's just it then? We're over?"
"We've been over, chan" Jeongin said a bit sternly "we were never anything to begin with."
"That's what you think" The older said without hesitation.
Jeongin paused for a second, seeing the heartbreak in the olders eyes. The way that the hurt flashed across the brown orbs and how he bit his lip to stop it from quivering.
"Can I ask you an honest question then?" Jeongins voice wavered before he cleared his throat.
Chan didn't say anything, his eyes fixated on the cement stairs rather than jeongins eyes. It hurt too much to see him trying to walk away from everything. The younger took this as a yes.
"Do you love me?" His voice was barely a whisper.
Chans eyes moved to the up to jeongins that shined with unshed tears.
