Jeongin lay in bed that night staring up at his ceiling, thinking about so many things.
One, chan. He thought of their date tomorrow and was creating an entire internal soliloquy about it. He was terrified of what was going to come tomorrow. But if anything, he knew that chan wouldn't put him in danger or hurt him.
The second, seungmin. If he spoke honestly, he hadn't stopped thinking of seungmin all day. He began over thinking his over thinking and turning it into more than it probably really was. It scared and hurt him though. How seungmin just so suddenly cared even if he never showed it before.
The dim lamp light of his room spread out around him in amber hues. It was crazy how his life had suddenly just turned around and everything was all jumbled.
Secretly, he wished that if he could get rid of this part of his life and keep chan, he would like it much better.
---"What are you doing here?" Jisung opened his door, seeing a cute puppy boy behind it.
"Hyunjin and I broke up" He moved through the door and plopped down on the brown couch in his living room.
"So why are you here?" Jisung asked slightly annoyed that he was woken up after his little nap. He wasn't even tired he was just trying to ignore minho constantly texting him trying to apologize.
His phone kept buzzing every few seconds, lighting up with the contact "Bitch 🤠". Minho was so annoying to the point where jisung wanted to smash his head through a wall but he was determined to keep his ground. He didn't want to block him because he wanted Minho to know he was reading the messages so he could understand how it felt to be hurt. Jisung was someone who instead of getting revenge, he got even.
"My parents are asleep and I have nowhere to go since hyunjin made me leave" He said nonchalantly.
"Fine.. But I have a question" He moved over to the couch and sat down beside his friend. "Why did you decide to message jeongin after all this time?"
This seemed to put him in thinking mode, thinking of some way to explain without actually explaining. thinking of a way to lie.
"I thought I owed it to him. Seeing him that one night at his house made me realize how fun he was again"
Jisungs phone vibrated beside him and he groaned out
"Fuck Minho, give it a damn rest won't you?!"
"What's wrong with you guys?"
"Everything," He said softly as he turned his screen on.
Typing in his password, seungmin leaned back so he could see it '2801'. He tried to remember it, not really being that difficult since it was jeongins birthday.
"Oh my god get a life" He tossed his phone on the couch beside him and sighed turning to seungmin.
"Do you want to talk about the break up?" He asked softly.
"No," Seungmin answered almost immediately "I'm fine"
"Are you really okay?" He pressed
"Yes. I'm fine. I don't want to talk about it." He snapped
"Okay sheesh.. Do you want to sleep down here or upstairs with me?"
"With you, your living room is kind of creepy at night"
"You literally spend the night down here all the time" Jisung laughed at the sudden scared seungmin.
"Pleeease? I never get to sleep in your room when I'm here but you always let jeongin!"
"Come on weirdo! I never said no"
Seungmin jumped up from the couch with his little open mouthed smile and raced jisung up the stairs. Their giggles echoed loudly in his house, not having to worry about it since his parents usually stayed at the company late.
They both walked into jisungs room, seungmin popping on the bed while jisung kicked aside dirty clothes (that may or may not have been from the last time him and Minho fucked) and sat on his bed as well.
Jisungs room was like the average teens and much like chans room. He had band posters lined against the wall with Polaroids of him and his friends lined up along a mirror. His bed was messy since he never made it because what was the point if you're just going to mess it up again. His closet doors were kind of broken (totally not from slamming Minho against them) and his unfolded clothes hung from inside. His shoes lay strung everywhere inside. To sum it all up jisungs room was clean but also a wreck in the smallest places.
After jumping on the bed he snuggled up to his friend loving seungmins cuddles.
"Whats going on with you and minho?" He asked cautiously.
"Hm? Oh, he made a bet.."
"What kind of bet?"
"He made a bet with Chan that if one of them could get jeongin or me to sleep with them they owed the other fifty dollars"
"Are you serious?" He asked, acting a little outraged.
"Yeah but don't worry, min his getting a taste of his own medicine"
"How so?"
"I'm ignoring the bitch until he actually get enough balls to apologize more than just an " I'm sorry""
Seungmin hummed softly
"Why is jeongin still with Chan then?"
"He doesn't know about the bet"
"Why not?"
"Well.. After that whole thing with you guys, he was really heartbroken. I had to hold him down to get him to eat anything because all he would do was sit there and cry. It took him so long to heal after that and I can't watch that happen to him again. He loves Chan-hyung. I can't just destroy him like that again"
"I hurt him that bad?" A twang of guilt washed through him, not really understanding the amount of hurt he cast upon jeongin.
"You were his first love.. You hurt him really bad but he's better now. He's even happier with Chan around"
Seungmin rolled his eyes knowing jisung couldn't see it. He was so annoyed at Chan for stealing jeongin. Chan wasn't even that great in seungmins opinion. Sure he was hot but he wasn't much more than that.
The boy closed his eyes pretending to be asleep after a few moments of not answering. He felt jisung look up at him and pull the blankets further on both of their bodies.
"Night, Min" He whispered softly, kissing his cheek like they always did before they slept.
