Jeongin tightened his toe around his neck, feeling like it was suffocating him.

They had court today.

He would have to face several people he didn't want to see. Chan being one of them since he was a witness. Seungmin obviously and seungmins parents. What would they think? Would they think jeongin was just trying to get him in trouble?

He sighed and gave himself a once over before sitting on his bed to check his phone. He had been wishing that Chan would message him but he knew he wouldn't. It had been hard for him to be alone again since jisung was consumed with Minho. They'd barely even spoken since he left jisungs house after telling him to leave him alone. Which was good because it had given him time to think.. But somehow it just hurt.

"Jeongin let's go! Court starts in a half an hour!"

"Coming dad!"

He grabbed all of his things, making sure to have grabbed his wallet and phone.

He ran downstairs and saw his mom standing there with his father whispering something to each other but abruptly stopped when they saw him standing there.

"Let's go." His dad flashed him a sweet smile before grabbing his wife's hand and leading her to the car. They walked a few steps in front of him and continued their whisper yell conversation.

It continued all the way into the car and down the road. Jeongin truly heard all of it but could really care less. He was too worried about seeing seungmin and Chan.

The court house wasn't really that far from their house. Just a few blocks away at most and they could have walked if they really wanted to.

They pulled into the parking lot as jeongin took a nervous breath. Minhos car was here which meant that jisung was here too. Chans car was parked next to theirs as well which meant that they came together.

"Come on, innie" His father said, unbuckling his seat belt.

They all climbed out of the car and the small honk that came after his father locked it startled the younger boy.

Jeongin just decided to walk in by himself and let his parents fight about whatever they were fighting about. Going through all the steps, he passed through security and went to the floor that they were supposed to be on. The elevator dinged before he walked out and froze wanting to run up to jisung and hug him so badly. Everyone was there and somehow as if nothing was wrong they were all smiling and laughing.. Even Chan.

How can they pretend like everything is okay?

However, they just looked at him pitifully and continued whatever conversation they had been having. Jeongin sat down on a hard chair and pulled out his phone, scrolling through his boring ass social media page.

"Jeongin?" He looked up to see his best friend standing there. "I-i know you don't want to talk to me but I just want to wish you luck.. And just know that I'll be right beside you, okay?"

Jeongin set his phone down with shaky hands and stood quickly, hugging jisung as tightly as he could.

"I don't care what I said before, hyung.. Please just don't leave my side in there.." He whispered to the boy who in return wrapped his arms tightly around him as well.

"I won't. I promise you." He pulled back to look at jeongin and see how he was doing. He looked pale and quite scared.

"Thank you.." The younger tried to muster his best smile but only resulted in a small twitch of his lips.

It felt good to have their best friend back. To have their security back. Of course jisung had Minho but jeongin was a different type of security. A different type of grounding.
