- Melody Pov -

I have done many shitty and dumb things in my life, but nothing could compare to what I did to Mrs Alice.

I may have put thumbtacks on her seat when she wasn't watching, Laxatives in her coffee and hand sanitizer all over her desk. But I'm still angry about the way she treated me when I got to school.

Now look, no one pushes me around and gets away with it, not even adults. So when I Deem someone worthy of my divine punishment, then their life is immediately forfeit.

Not the best thing to say to your principle before she rings up your uncle to tell him you're 1 log away from a suspension. I'm now sitting in Detention, legs on the desk and arms folded behind my head. I love watching Mr Sturd glare at me like that. I feel on top of the world, just joking I want to die right now. But who's fault is that? Societies and my dads!

"Miss Wrathen, please get your feet off of the desk." Mr Sturd demanded, finally snapping.

"No! Why don't you make me!" I stuck out my tongue to add to his irritation.

"Right, I'm calling your uncle. You're going home! I've had enough of this blatant behavior" He quickly grabbed his phone and dialed uncle Zeldris's number. This made me extremely angry.

"Hey!? I though you were getting paid to take care of kids, not send them home. You're just a piece of shit who can't do their job!" I yelled, taking my feet of the table and standing up. "This is a place of learning Mr Sturd. Are you really gonna deny me the right of education?"

He gave me a quick side glare before beginning his conversation with my uncle. "FUCK YOU!" I screamed, both middle fingers stuck up.

"Melody, I know you're dealing with some heavy stuff right now, but you had no right to act like this. I'm sorry, but I'm going to need to suspend you for 3 days." Mrs Deldri sighed and took a sip out of her coffee.

I glanced at my uncle who was sitting beside me. Boy was he pissed off.

Mrs Deldri put her cup down and looked at me with her purple eyes.
"Do you understand the rules of this school, Miss Wrathen?" I nodded. "Then surely you can understand why I'm doing this. Clearly you need time to calm down, I can see you have some other issues that need sorting out. So take this time and make use of it." She spoke in a soft tone. "I'll see you then. You're free to leave."

The car ride with my uncle Zel was awkward, neither of us said a word, we just sat there in complete silence the entire time.

Instead of him taking me back to my place, he took me to his. I didn't mind either way, going back to my house was the last thing I wanted right now. Just the thought of my dad made my jaw tighten and tears threaten to fall down my cheeks.
Uncle Zel noticed and put his hand on my shoulder.

"I know it's hard, but he's doing this for you." He whispered and put his hand on my head. "He really does care."

I let the tears fall. "I know, but it just hurts."
