Chapter 5 - Don't

- Zeldris Pov -

I woke up like every morning. Sike!
I didn't sleep a wink because I had my Suicidal niece staying at my place and the constant thought of her sneaking out to do something dumb plagued my every waking moment. 
So I had no time to just sit in my bed and question myself.

I just got up, got dressed, had breakfast and brushed my teeth.
It's 4:23AM so Melody should still be asleep, I should go check on her. If she's still here.

I walked to her room and prepared to open the door. 'I shouldn't just walk in...' I thought to myself as I gripped the doorknob. 'It doesn't matter...she'll still be asleep anyway.'

I opened it. "Melody?" I whispered as I walked into the dark room, the curtains had been opened slightly, but the sun hadn't risen yet. I went over to her bed and pulled back the sheets only to find a couple of pillows left as decoys.
I backed away from the bed, my hands shaking and mind racing. "Fuck!" I hissed and ran out of the room, almost tripping on the carpet. I had no time for stairs so I slid down the railing and burst out the door.
I fucking knew she would sneak back to her house! That little bitch!
All I could do was sprint down the side walk and pray that I made it in time...to stop her.

- Melody Pov -

I looked at the decent pile of Blue pills in my hand, tears falling down my porcelains cheeks. "Goodbye." I breathed as I put them all in my mouth at once.
The tap was on so I cupped my hands and drank some water to wash down the pills.

It'll be a little while until I overdose...but my death is guaranteed.

"MELODY!" The door was kicked down and my uncle suddenly bolted into the room and harshly grabbed me by my shoulders, which caused me to drop the empty tube on the ground. Uncle Zeldris glared at me with his deep onyx eyes, demon marking present on his forehead. "Tell me you didn't take the pills!" He yelled and shook me. The tears began falling faster and I gestured to the empty bottle on the floor which he missed because he was too focused on chastising me. I felt his grip loosen as he let go.

"I took them all...there's nothing you can do but wait." I mumbled as he held the tube in his hand.

"W-why!? Why would you do this!?" He screamed and threw the bottle at me. "WHY WOULD YOU JUST THROW IT ALL AWAY LIKE THIS!?"

"Because...I have...nothing left to...lo...se." I suddenly felt extremely dizzy, my eyes became heavy and my knees suddenly buckled. I heard my uncle yell as I began toppling to the floor and then darkness.

Only darkness.
