- Melody Pov -

After the movie had finished, I snuck away from Helbram to go to the bathroom (5th time today) But I didn't need to pee...this was something I had never felt before.

I crept upstairs to the bathroom; closing but not locking the door behind me, just in case. My chest had started tightening at least 20 minutes ago, but I was too nervous to just get up and rush off, because I knew Helbram would come after me. He's too needy and protective at the moment. I walked over and quickly bent over the sink as I felt the urge to cough, which I did, but when I looked down there was a small amount of blood in the sink. "What the fuck?" I muttered before turning the tap on and just cleaning it; quick to dispose of it before anyone had the chance to see it. "Nevermind." I said way too nonchalantly and just left the bathroom. Though I seemed unfazed by it, I was still worried. I'd been feeling off lately...like really off. I couldn't just forget about the blood in the sink, but I didn't want it to eat away at me. "I'll tell someone eventually. Dads coming to visit tomorrow anyways." I spoke before going back downstairs to get a glass of water.

- Timeskip: 11:46pm -

At night I couldn't sleep...my entire body was on fire and Helbram wanted to cuddle, but I just pushed him away. The kid wouldn't stop moving around either so I was completely exhausted. The cold night air did shit all so I just got up and left, going downstairs in favour of grabbing a snack.

I stumbled a little, but got down there regardless. I thought I was sneaky...but I wasn't. The sound of our bedroom door opening made me seize up, followed by light creaking echoing through the house as Helbram walked half way down the stairs. He cleared his throat. "Melody...come back to bed..." He mumbled in a gravelly voice. Swaying slightly, tired as he rubbed his eyes - he was also shirtless.

I groaned slightly. "Helbram...please, I'm hungry, just let me get something to eat." I muttered to my half awake boyfriend. He sighed and came down to me, almost like he was going to take me back upstairs, but he grabbed my hand and took me into the kitchen instead.

I looked at him in interest as he stopped, lifted me up, and plonked me on the black polished counter top. "Mac and cheese or grilled sandwich?" He asked me softly, his hands on both of my thighs as I sat...thinking hard on what to choose. His tired gaze making me blush. He was the only guy who could make me feel butterflies whenever we were alone together.

I smiled through the discomfort of the heat and our son moving around continuously. "Mac and cheese." I spoke happily, which made Helbram smile as well. He then nodded and pecking me on the cheek before stumbling over to the cupboard to grab the box. I sat on the modern bench top, one of the 3 white kitchen lights illuminating my features. I leaned over as I felt my throat get tight again, I tried desperately to hide my discomfort, but he noticed.

Helbram stopped what he was doing for a hot second to come over. "Hey? What's wrong?" He pried, but I waved him off.

"Nothing, I'm fine...just had a tickle in the back of my throat." I said simply as I readjusted my position. He shook his head and gently grabbed my arms.

"I think you should tell your uncle." He stated, observing my sweaty face with concern.

"No, I-"

He cut me off by suddenly putting the back of his hand against my scorching forehead. Pulling it away immediately.

"Christ, Melody! You're burning up!" He yelled as I sat there, now pale and shaking. "God..! Nope! I'm getting your Uncle, I don't care if he's asleep or not! We have to get you to a doctor! What if you've got some kind of disease!?" He fretted, running his hands through his hair.
