2 months went by pretty fast as Melody was already 6 months pregnant. Her bump had gotten bigger and her morning sickness had finally stopped (to both Helbram and Melody's delight)
To say it's been easy for her would be a stretch. She had to drop out of Liones high because of her pregnancy and all of the other students started calling her the blonde whore. (Except her friends. Even Deloris is excited for the baby) Helbram still attends school, but is debating whether or not to leave as well. He started getting in even more fights since Melody left, because other guys kept talking shit about his girl, he won of course...beat them til they blacked out. Zeldris even had to come get him one time and when he came home with bruises on his face and a split lip, Melody was distraught and enraged.
Helbram still hasn't moved back in with his parents yet, because he still hates them and he'd rather be close to keep his pregnant girlfriend safe. In case Percy came back. She agreed, even though the thought made her feel sad.
-----------------------
Melody climbed out of bed after realising that Helbram was missing. She sighed with her eyes closed. "He won't even touch me anymore, it's like he thinks I'll shatter in his clutch." She mumbled and put her slippers on.
The cold morning air made her nipples hard and she shivered, making her way over to grab her dressing gown and exit the room.
It was getting closer to her birthday, but she just wasn't really feeling it right now.
Melody sighed sadly as she lazily opened the door and walked onto the top of the stairs. She scoped out her surroundings, finding no trace of anyone else. "Shit." She cussed and started walking down the stairs; one hand on the railing, the other on her stomach. Truth was, getting up and down the stairs scared Melody, she didn't know if she'd trip or if she would forget she was walking down the stairs and fall. Helbram normally held her hand and helped her, it made Melody feel safer. She normally hated the idea of depending on others to preform small and insignificant tasks, but right now she needed him more than ever.
As Melody reached the middle of the stairs, her hand slipped off the railing suddenly and she began falling forwards. "AAAAH!! HELBRAM!" She screamed as the ground got closer. She closed her eyes, but didn't hit the floor as two strong arms held her up, preventing her from moving.
"Are you okay, Blondy?" Helbram asked her as he helped her to her feet. She simply nodded, still a little shaken up about losing her gripping. Helbram nodded too and helped her down the rest of the stairs, immediately letting go of her hand and stepping back. "Well...seeing as you're okay now, I'm gonna go finish making breakfast." He stated and turned away from her.
Melody took this negatively and frowned. "Why won't you touch me anymore. You don't wanna cuddle, nor do you want to kiss...what happened?" She said sadly, feeling like she was gonna cry. "Don't you love me anymore?"
Helbram spun around like lightening and stared at her. "Melody, I do love you...I'm...I'm just scared that I might hurt you, I mean you're 6 months pregnant and I'm worried that I might get angry and let my...powers out." He spoke the last part quietly.
Melody looked at him. "Powers?"
Helbram suddenly looked distressed and began sweating. "I-"
"Helbram! Explain.." she says calmly at the end.
He took a shaky breath.
"W-well...when I got into that fight w-where I got sent home...I actually m-may have sent th-that boy to the hospital." He choked out shakily, his hands were balled into fists. The poor boy couldn't even look his lover in the eyes. "I got lucky that his parents understood what happened...I could have killed him, Melody! I don't know what these powers are, but...they just keep activating when I get mad or stressed!" Helbram said while tightly clenching his eyes shut. Melody cupped his face and took one of his hands."Just calm down and explain it to me." She soothed which made him relax into her hand. The touch he had been craving, but too scared to receive.
Helbram sighed heavily and put his hand over hers.
"Okay." He spoke softly and calmly.
"My powers are simple, when I get mad, they begin to wrap around my body and cause anything living that's near me to begin choking...like there's no oxygen. I-I'm just not sure how to control it..."Melody nodded slowly and looked up into his eyes questioningly. " I see...So correct me if I'm wrong, but you were scared that your rage towards the assholes at school would consume you until you eventually ended up hurting me?" She asked and he nodded. "Helbram...it's okay, you don't need to protect m-"
"Yes I do!" He interrupted. "You're carrying my son, I can't let you get hurt...and if I'm the one who is putting you at risk, then I'm going to do something about it." He stated firmly.
Melody frowned and shook her head in disapproval. "You won't hurt me, see? You're touching me right now and nothing's happening...so since we've had this talk, let's go have some breakfast."
He grunted as she pulled him along impatiently.
-----------------------------------
After breakfast, Melody went upstairs, got dressed and came back downstairs to grab her jacket so she could go for a walk. Helbram had no idea and she liked it that way. She felt more free....she felt like a normal teenager.
Anyways, funny story. When Melody reached a certain point in her pregnancy, she noticed that Helbram had begun acting strangely. He wouldn't let her go outside alone, to sleep without him in the same room, or to go down the stairs without him holding her hand. (He forgot this time) While she loved the protection Helbram was providing her in her vulnerable state, she also wanted her freedom back.
The blond picked up her phone and stuffed it in her jacket pocket and walked out the front door. The walk was going to be a simple block, no strenuous exercise, just a relaxing stroll with her unborn son.
Melody pat her swollen stomach as she began walked toward the mailbox. Opening it and taking out a few letters and magazines. She threw them at the front step and groaned; not wanting to go for that Walk anymore. Long story short, she didn't get far before the urge to go back inside overcame her. so Melody turned around. "You know what, it's a little colder today than I expected." She said while picking up the mail she just threw and walked back inside. The girl was just too tired to do anything anymore, her golden youth was ruined. But she didn't really care all that much.
She sighed as she flipped through the letters, looking shocked when she found one addressed to herself. "What the..?" Melody spoke slowly before putting down the others and opening it.
She unfolded the paper and groaned in Disappointment as she realised it was from the hospital. "Another one? But I already went in 4 days ago to have another ultrasound." She huffed and chucked it down with the rest and then walking into the living room where Helbram sat on the couch; snuggled up on a blanket watching scary movie 2. The scary movies are Melody's favourite.
She huffed and went over to block his view of the television. "How rude of you to watch my favourite movie without me!" She playfully whined.
"Sssh, be quiet, she's being railed by a ghost." He said with a straight face, his eyes still on the remaining sliver of television he could still see as he opened up his blanket: inviting Melody in for a cuddle. She grunted, but didn't refuse his offer.
"Okay." She blushed and climbed in; making herself comfortable.
